Problem with radio signal - iPAQ rw6828, XDA Atom General

Hi,
I recently bought a used O2 Atom, and the first thing I made was to upgrade the latest ROM (Oct2006).
Sometimes it looses the GSM signal, even if the PPC is on the table in standby mode, it just tell me "No signal", the "antenna" in title bar keeps with no bars.
I'm about to downgrade to the an older ROM (20060426), but I'm unsure if it as hardware problem or a incompatible ROM.
Anybody experienced something like that?
thank you
Aldoir

Confirmed
20060426B1WWE_RS00049 (the original one) works fine
20060426B1WWE_RS00052 (Oct2006) the radio becomes unstable ;(

Network Loss

Hi,
I've got an M3100 flashed to the SA Tytn ROM and after recently it seems to have had problems staying on a network. When I start it up it finds the network and connects for a while but then looses it (the exclamation mark next to the signal indicator) and refuses to find it again. The only way to get it to connect is to go into phone settings and tell it to refresh the network.
Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
Many thanks!
I was having a similar problem with my new Jasjam (HT 647xxx).
The factory installed ROM had a radio version 1.21.31.10 and the rom date was 8th september 2006.
Quite strangely the latest ROM available on the i-mate site is dated 21st July 2006 and has a radio version 1.07.03.10.
Since I have downgraded to the ROM available on the i-mate site it seems my problems are over. Maybe the ROM you have installed has a faulty radio rom.
Regards
Well I've got 1.18.00.10 as my radio version and I've had it for a while without any problems.
Just a couple of very routine things to be sure of (perhaps before going into Radio versions etc)
1. That the device is set to best performance not best battery under the network settings
2. The range is not great for wifi 10-15 metres at best so just to be sure your in good range. I know when I'm on the periphery of signal it connects fine but drops signal fairly often.
Cheers
Mike
Sorry, I should have made it clear that the problem is with the cellular network.
Sorry to bump this, but has anyone got any ideas? A full reflash of the device doesn't seem to have done anything so I'm beginning to worry that this is a hardware problem...

no signal on G zones. Just on 3G zones...

I was downloading a file on my TYTN from the microsoft site "framework 2.0"-something... using the phones network GPRS on "G" mode. The download took a long time and then it blocked the device. After a soft-reset, I could see the signal bars, but no "G" sign, just a "no connection" sign. Can't do/recieve call, sms or gprs... When I enter a 3G zone, all comes back to normal. But in G zones my phone is useless.
But if I'm on a 3G zone, and I chose the phone option to just use G, it connects fine! the G sign appears and I have no problems.
I upgraded to the last radio version, upgraded to WM6 and the trouble continues.
about 2 months ago I had a broken screen and change it myself. The phone worked fine for I month after that, I think it's not related but I opened the phone again just to see if I could had done something to cause this, but saw nothing wrong or burnt.
My phone had original rom with WM5 when the error appeared, so it wasn't a flashing error. As I said, installed WM6 and the latest radio version and problem persists.
I've searched the forum and found nothing like this, can someone help me?
Thanks.

Is my Radio problem usual ??

I read many people have radio problem with their Wizard
My problem is "I'm at home and I have 4 bar radio signal" at night I leave my Qtek on table.
At the marning he's looking for signal
I put 2.47.11 radio rom but it's the same
Repar center told me it's because the devive had falled down
Is this problem the same as usual ??
THX
Not all radio roms work well...depends on where you live. I use 2.47 and it rocks, but 2.61 and 2.69 won't fetch me even one bar where I live. Sometimes I can have a full signal and then hours later need to reclaim the signal. You can do this by soft resetting, or in settings/phone/network tab click "Find Network". I don't know if this is a common issue, but I have had this problem before...especially when I had the 2.6x radio rom's installed. Also to note...many chef's say that if you use a custom rom 2.19 is the best radio to go with.
Sorry couldn't be of more help.

[HELP] HTC Magic 32a: radio turns off and doesn't go on again

Hello. I have a Htc magic /MT3G 32A version, i think my operator got them from vodafone. i have a big problem with network functionality. The issue is as follows: if i load the original cupcake rom or rom update with senseUI, also version 1.5, radio, no matter which, works ok, the signal is stable, umts works. But if i put on a custom rom (official upgrades to 2.1 or 2.2 are not available), the phone starts to act weird. it happens on radio 3.22, 6.35, tried different versions of each. it happens on cyanogen, official ports, aosp... I get big signal holes, and when it changes from one antenna to another, signal goes out, let's say also for an hour or more, then suddenly it reappears. i also don't have connection in areas, where there surely is gsm coverage. Nothing helps when this happens, no reboot, no airplane mode, sim lock off... on original rom this problem doesn't occur. I also made a log on my phone during a long "blackout". What is wrong? Could some application or a process be causing this issue? if so, how can i find out which?
When i made this log, i was on cyanogen mod 6.1 stable, radio 3.22.20.17
