Jamin Standby/Power problem .. - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 General

Hi all ,
I have searched the forum and have not found anything on this problem.
About 3 weeks ago my Jamin decided not to go into 'Standby' mode. I kept pushing the power button but it did not go into standby. Holding it down didnt turn the phone off either. The only way it went into standby mode was by setting the power options to automatically going into standby after a certain time. When this did happen I could not bring it back from Standby mode either. The only way for me to bring the phone back was by removing the SD card then the phone would light up.
Everything else on the phone works fine I can receive and make phone calls etc.
I did a hard reset and everything seemed fine for a while then it would start happening again.
I sent the phone in for a warranty repair and it came back saying there was some kind of software corruption. I thought everything was fixed until it started doing it again. I thought it may be the SD card so I formatted that as well. But to my suprise .. after a hard reset and without the SD inserted it did it again. I have taken it back to the service centre 3 times already and each time they just said it was software corruption and the same problem would occur. Initiall after the first hard reset the power button would work fine after a short period. The first time was 1 day then it would slowly shorten until it did not work after a hard reset.
I was wondering if there was anyone that has run into this problem ... or may know what the problem maybe. The phone is currently on a 'field test' as described by the technicians. I was told they would replce the motherboard if nothing else worked...
I would honestly rather have a new phone .... cause I have not had it for 3 weeks .. going onto 1 month ... and its annyoing ...

Hi dkbaj!
Are you still having this problem? I got a Wizard 4 days ago and sometimes, if it went into standby, it won't come back to me again...

Unit keeps on freezing at start up

Any help is greatley appreciated. I just bought the xda2 a week ago and it worked fine until yesterday. At first the phone just wouldnt dial. Then it would freeez. After a soft reset, it wouldnt go past the first "o2" screen and would just hang. The blue light started flashing eventhough I never enabled Bluetooth. The system didnt start past that screen and it also wouldn't shut off. Even after a hard reset it still had the same symptoms(it froze at the bootup screen and had flashing blue light). Around 30 minutes later after trying to turn it on and off. I finally started. But then it happened again today. Thanx in advance
If it still displays these symptoms after a hard reset then it look like a hardware fault. Only other thing i can think of is if you have a memory card inserted that is upsetting the system.
It doesnt have a memory card. I was afraid it might be hardware related. Any idea on how to have it repaired from the US

Soft power off problem.

Morning all.
I have had my T-Mobile MDA Compact for just over a year now.. and its the first problem I have had.
Until this morning...
I got to a customers.. turned my MDA off.. and it didnt go off.. it just sat with a blank screen.. no backlight and "Start" in the top left.
After a lot of soft resetting.. nothing changed.
I have now done a Hard reset.. (lost everything) and still have the same problem.
The weird effect seems to be.. 20 seconds or so after the phone has booted and if I am not on a call.
IE.. I can call out... and turn the phone off and on as much as I like.. works fine.. as soon as I hang up and do it.. I get the same problem..
Blackight goes off and the entire unit freezes.
Very weird.. Does anyone have any ideas?
The next step later this evening will be to re-flash the phone.
Please help

fixed - I think
Sprung to mind that I had not tried removing the SD card I had in the beast.
Removed it and it seems to behave itself.
The SD card was used early this morning in my HP iPaq to play an mp3... weird that it now causes my MDA to hang.
Presume the HP corrupted it and it needs formatting.

blank screen - no picture

heyy everyone i have a bell vogue. It was working perfectly untill a couple of days ago when i woke up to find the screen didn't work. The phone would turn on and off, and seemed to function normally except that there was no display whatsoever. The backlight was also working, but there was nothing else. I performed a hard reset by holding the call and end buttons while soft resetting and the screen came back. Now the problem has happened again (3 days later) and neither soft nor hard reset will get the screen to come back.
does anybody have any ideas? i would guess that its a hardware issue except for the fact that it came back the first time and worked for a few days. btw i have not installed any custom roms or radios.
thanks!

HTC Sapphire screen stays black

hey guys,
long time reader first time writer.
i searched a lot for the last 2 days about this problem.
Two days ago, I was just phoning with my girlfriend till my battery goes down and the phone shutted down itself with a message like "Phone is turning off...". Around 30 minutes later I was back home and connected my phone to the power cable, but it didn't turned on (I thought).
I was trying a lot because I thought (!) it is bricked some how. Tried to connect it to my PC but of cause it doesnt exists for fastboot because USB Debug is off (I guess I turned it offagain some time ago) - but some minutes ago, something strange happend.
Again I was trying to figure out whats wrong with my phone. I turned it on but nothing happened. Around 40 Seconds later the ringtone for a new email was ringing and I was like "WTF?" - but yeah, it seems that my phone is running, but I just can't see anything.
The display seems to work because it goes on when I turn the phone on, but no colors, no images - just nothing appears on it. I don't know what to do. It seems that there is something wrong ...
Would be great if somebody got same problem and a solution.
Thanks a lot,
rob sanchez

I'm sure this might seem pretty obvious, but...
Reboot into recovery, if you can. Otherwise you need to try another solution.
Then from there perform a system wipe.
After that, you do in fact need to reformat your SD card. You could try and simply format your extension partition, but ultimately in a situation like this you might try rebuilding your partitions entirely.
Put your ROM on the SD - name it update.
Then once you reinsert the SD card, perform another wipe.
After that, select repair extension file systems. (If you use Amon_RA)
If not, that's fine...NOW you can flash your ROM.

[Q] Omnia 7 broken - will not boot

hi
my omina 7 of 1 month is broken.
A few weeks ago it wouldnt boot and gave the screen indicating
the phone needs to be plugged into the pc, it then booted ok.
Yesterday it gave the same message but by the time i got it home
the message was gone.
Now it will not boot, it simply cycles through the samsung logo, the three network logo , then back to the samsung logo.
Will be taking it back to the three shop tonight.
is there a way of hard resetting the phone using the buttons?
I have only found info on hard reset from within the OS, which obviously i now cannot get to.
has anyone else had this problem
The only similar problem i found was with a focus
was on the windowsphonesecrets website under the heading restoration error
to hard reset the focus press the power, volume & camera buttons all together. that might do it.
Have you tried taking the battery out of the phone? Heard from someone that that solved the problem...
yes tried taking the battery out
tried it without the sim
let the battery completely drain and tried again
the hard reset button combination didnt work either
just constantly cycling between the samsung and three network logos
three have now sent it off for repair ....
I have a very similar problem. My phone randomly rebooted itself but now it sticks on the Samsung Omnia 7 logo. I've tried removing the battery but nothing.
Is there a Safe Mode I can boot into?
Damn looks like I have the same problem. Was playing a game.Phone rebooted on its own, all I get is the Samsung Omnia 7 screen.
Tried a Hard Reset. I get the options pop up for about 2 seconds asking if I want to format. If I am quick enough to press the Home button nothing happens it just switches off.
Did you try to flash the ROM ?
Me?
No?
Download mode was the only mode that seemed to be recognised by my PC.If it wasn't in warranty I would maybe have tried that, but as it is in warranty I will let T-Mobile deal with it.
my repaired samsung was returned mid january
a few weeks later and the same thing has happened again...
phone froze, switched it off , now will not boot again
it is definitely the same hand set or at least the same outer casing
the bill said it had some parts replaced
I wonder what caused this issue?
I had similar problem and this is how I solved it:
Make sure your Device is switched off (remove and reinsert the battery)
1. Press and hold the Camera, Volume Down, and Power buttons simultaneously.
2. Release Power when the phone vibrates, but continue to hold down Camera and Volume Down.
3. Release Camera and Volume Down when the Format prompt is displayed on screen.
4. Press Windows key twice to confirm the hard reset.
Enjoy your phone now
add 1 to the list, mine is doing thin, formatting doesnt help, reflashing doesnt help.
unless i can find a fix, im without a phone for 15 days while tmob plays with it
any progress?
Since applying the update that Samsung release yesterday I'm having the same problem...
Format didn't work, installing 'older' firmwares (I8700BSEJK1, I8700XENJK1 and I8700DBTJK1) didn't solve any issue
Anybody with more ideas?
I've also had this issue... I think it was caused by forcing the nodo update. Now I've updated it normally using this guide

I hope now the problem is solved.
