I have an audiovox smt5600 that just freezes at windowsmobile screen when powered on..i've flashed new rom and it still has the same problem...maybe needs to format? i don't know how...anyone knows how to fix this problem, please help..thanks

I had the same problem once. Hit 0 and 1 (or is it 1 and 2) when it displays the boot-up screen. I think that kind of does a hard reset. Mine is working fine now.

I have a Prophet (M600) G4 with the last HTC ROM and recently radio upgrade and everything works fine till in installed Resco keyboard and had to soft reset the device. Till then the device comes up normally with the Qtek welcome screen but during the next step to “the windows screen ??” appears a white screen and nothing happened after it. Strange enough hardreset don’t work and its impossible to enter the bootloader. Moving the battery and reset several times has no results. Try to flash it again but impossible because I have no connection to PC. Can someone help me please??

I'm the second or third user that own this device. Because this, I don't know about roms upgrades with precision, but it's running WM5.
All was work fine... But some days ago, it was stopping in a black screen when I perform a simple soft reset...
I tryed remove the battery, all the cards (include the simcard), but the problem still there...
I tryed a hard reset, but the problem still there...
I tryed all that I know, but the problem still there again...
Trouble details:
The O2 XDA Exec aleatory freeze in a black screen after soft reset.
I persists pressing Reset key with some seconds intervals, untill it (aleatory) turn on the screen and load WM5.
The Bootloader and the HardReset screens comes normaly when calleds.
When I perform a hardreset, immediatly happen an freeze without the new system never was loaded before.
I disassembly the device and test the RESET key... there is no problem.
My big suspect is something corrupt in device's bootloader or other "BIOS" program.
I use many PDAs for a long time (8 years ago), but never see nothing like that...
Seed someone something like this before?
How can I solve this problem?

Have you tried to install another ROM? with a different Bootloader
Battery?
Check the Wiki, there is a lot of usefull info there

I solve my trouble reflashing my WM5 rom...
I used the Jwrightmcps Crossbow ROM Update 2.12.08 WWE, very fast and very stable WM6 rom! Realy a amazing work by our friend Jwrightmcps!
Including, I want suggest here that all those that still suffering in WM5 (living slowly with crashes, troubles, crashes, more troubles and this poor and slow system), try reflash your HTC with a rom like this... my device reborn!! It was dead more now is alive!!! And much more fast and stable! Before it is slowly my old Jornada 720 (206MHz), but now it realy seems have 520MHz!

Try to bootup without the SD card (and may be SIM), I had this problem with my Vox, the SD Card was corrupted. After formatting the SD Card, everythig became normal.

the pda at the first time has booted and i have configured the regional time and the pen alignment until the the screen that says Setup complete, click to proceed (or something like this).
After this, it gets stuck on the windows mobile 6.1 boot screen
i have made the re-update with the same rom update.
the problem persists!

Now when it boots apears
ONBL 1.07.0000
SPL 1010.olip
GSM 02.84.90
OS 1.17.0.0
then changes for the wm6.1 boot screen

assuming ur phone is just dead ie just blank screen do this
1.power off the phone remove batter and press the power button 3 secs
2.put batter back in to the phone
3.Press camera button and then power on at the same time u will get tricolor
used usb and Flash new ROM
or press camera button and do soft reset using stylus this will also give u the tricolor use USB and flash new ROM

I had tried that also but not able to recover I had to burn the ROM again .
I am scared now to soft reset my gene. Never know when it will get hanged again. (pls note that it does not hang on every soft reset).
I liked the new ROM (6.1 pro Sumeet) so much. It is fast and have left enough room to add/execute other applications. I have read so many good comments about the ROM. I do not want to change it to any other version.
Please.. please try to get some solution.

Please urgent help required.
my HTC P3300 (Artemis) stuck up when i was trying to start it up. when i use to turn my cell on, i goes to the starting screen shows the following numbers and then stuck up.
IPL 3.07.0001
SPL 3.07.0000
GSM 02.69.90
OS 3.7.0.0
the screen does not move after that. i tried soft reset through the reset button but result is the same.
i also tried hard reset and when i puch the green phone button to proceed, a message come "FORMAT FAILED" and the phone stucks up.
i am quite a lot of problems since i have upgraded to WM6 from WM5 last week.
i am quite sucked with this problem. not been able to use my set since yesterday.
please also note that my HTC was not syncing with my PC since i have upgraded to WM6.
PLEASE HELP URGENTLY.

I don't know which application has caused this. This problem has appeared after restoring the boot zone and installin wm 6.5.I have also installed wm 6.1 but I'm facing the same problem.
Now I see something strange.I entered in bootloader and tell me Mapl100 but under battery is Mapl110.It is a connection whit my prloblem?And the phone is now S520 not S521.
How to change S520 to S521?
