Hi, is there a reg hack (or setting i am missing) that allows me to stop the stupid 'bubble' that pops down (with cancel/hide message) everytime my GPRS connects?
Thanks.

Thank you for asking... I have been wondering the same thing but always forget to ask. Hopefully someone has an answer.
I think it is actually a setting in Sounds & NOTIFICATIONS. If you look around you should see something to do with 'connected to GPRS' which you can turn OFF. HTH.

Nothing like that here. Closest thing I found is Connection Established/Disconnected and everything is unticked there.

Hi
I don't think this has been mentioned before, so I hope someone has an idea.
Exec on corp install, with MSN Messenger used and then exited (using P+ so should all disappear once it's exited). A few seconds later, and until I get fed up and do a reset, I keep getting connection bubbles showing it's reconnecting to the net. It's as though the MSN connection or program is still active and keeps trying to re-establish the net connection to it.
Anyone else have this?
Cheers
Ant
Sure u havn't applied the "gprs always on" reg hack? Symptoms match exactly the desired behaviour of this hack. Search this board for registry settings so u can check yours.
If I'd put the registry hack on, do you think I'd have posted about GPRS reconnecting??

lol....I've been using XDA's since 'back in the day' and I ain't that dim
Thanks for trying though matey, all suggestions welcome. I take it noone else has had this problem?
Cheers
Ant
Had the same problem today, I found the only way was to go the start/ settings/ system/ Memory and select the running progams from here close it down (MSN) the system doesn't like like and you get a warning but it does close the application - perhaps an incompatability issue with the 2005 OS? - Mike
I have also had this problem, I found that although Messenger had signed out the MSN utils generally hadn't but by clicking "switch user" in the softkey menu it logged off and stopped connecting
Sorry I forgot to reply...
Tried that next time I connected to MSN and after using the Switch User option, it stopped the reconnecting.
Thanks all.

hello all,
i am looking for the registry entry (or any fix) to enable the Repeat checkbox for Voicemail Notification Alerts.
I am aware of phonealarm, but do not want to use it...
Why in the world is this option greyed out anyway!!
Thanks
I'm looking for the same thing. My old Sanyo phone repeated voice mail alerts, and I would like this on my mogul as well.
Check out Jason Langridges blog - blogs.msdn.com/jasonlan
Last month he blogged about a solution his colleague came up with for this.
Its a reg hack which enables this greyed out option.
I found it. Here it is -
http://blogs.msdn.com/jasonlan/arch...curring-audio-notification-of-new-emails.aspx
Thanks Chris, I'll try it tonight. The comments say it doesn't work though, but I guess it's worth a shot.
I have been using Jason's fix - it did enable the checkbox, but its been hit or miss, alert working sometimes and not others...
anyone have more info?

I'm thinking it's greyed out for a reason..enabling it on mine causes mine to repeat the alarm in an infinate loop even after I've acknowledged it...finally forcing a soft reset.

Go to settings. Then go to sounds. Then go to notifications. Select Internet Connection and then uncheck all the boxes. Thats it.
Good luck

#777 Bubble
Does anyone know where in the registry of the Moto MC7598 you can update this setting so the #777 bubble doesn't flash every time the device reconnects?

your really asking this in a forum for an HTC device?
Thread closed as it is old and the answer has been given.
Hi, I've had a good search on here and elsewhere about LED notification on an new IM, but can't find anything, so wonder if its only me that's having the problem.
If I go to all settings-> notifications, I have Flash Light for No limit set,
but if I receive an IM, it doesn't flash..Sound and vibrate is fine.
I have changed the registry to have an AvailbleOptions section. I have added screen shots.
Also has anyone found out how to make the LED flash orange, and maybe flash green when a network is available like my old Kaiser?
thanks

I have already added the tweak 24, I have new SMS, missed call and voice mail all working fine with the LED
Non of them are for IM, unless IM comes under messaging?
New Message:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D65B-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]
"AvailableOptions"=dword: change to 15
Missed Call:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D660-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]
"AvailableOptions"=dword: change to 15
Voice Mail:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D661-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]

at this moment the best im client for winmo, in my humble opinion of course
http://www.palringo.com/en/gb/
Palringo
I like Palringo. I use it for Google Talk and "text/IM" with my friends w/ android phones. I have been able to cut back on the amount of text msg I use on my plan.
I have now installed windows live 11 from the market place... still no LED! I have the setting in messenger set to
Notification type:Use system Setting
I'm pulling my hair out!
I also have a registry entry
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877D65F-239C-47A7-9304......
For IM: New instant message
AvailableOptions 0xF
Duration 0x3C
Options 0xF
Wave \Windows\Alert-FaderHigh.wma
Surely it uses this?
I also have another for IM Nudge ( which also doesn't flash the LED)
Can people who have this working, please see if you have these entries and if they are the same?
Cheers
Dears,
How can i know my sent SMS status on my HTC Diamond 2 mobile??
(Sent - Received,...)
is there anyway to know that?
When writing the SMS, go to options- there is the option for a delivery report.
Sorry to hijack this post.
But I have just updated my phone with the official windows mobile 6.5 from the HTC website. For some reason I now can not set the LED to stay on until I have read the message like I used to be able to. The tick box is greyed out. Does anyone know a way around this?
SQueal. there is a regedit to fix this. get a regeditor,if you dont already have one and navigate to HKCU\Controlpanel\Notifications and find entry A877D65B…
change AvailableOptions value to 15.

Thanks codhunter, is there a registry editor on the phone, or can I access it through a PC one when its hooked up via active sync?
While I am in there, is it also possible to change the text message alert to something I want, I notice that they have removed this on the updates as well which is quite irritating.
