Go to settings. Then go to sounds. Then go to notifications. Select Internet Connection and then uncheck all the boxes. Thats it.
Good luck

Thanks, I was having a dumb moment trying to remember how to do this too.
#777 Bubble
Does anyone know where in the registry of the Moto MC7598 you can update this setting so the #777 bubble doesn't flash every time the device reconnects?

Hi, is there a reg hack (or setting i am missing) that allows me to stop the stupid 'bubble' that pops down (with cancel/hide message) everytime my GPRS connects?
Thanks.

Thank you for asking... I have been wondering the same thing but always forget to ask. Hopefully someone has an answer.
I think it is actually a setting in Sounds & NOTIFICATIONS. If you look around you should see something to do with 'connected to GPRS' which you can turn OFF. HTH.

Nothing like that here. Closest thing I found is Connection Established/Disconnected and everything is unticked there.
hello all,
i am looking for the registry entry (or any fix) to enable the Repeat checkbox for Voicemail Notification Alerts.
I am aware of phonealarm, but do not want to use it...
Why in the world is this option greyed out anyway!!
Thanks
I'm looking for the same thing. My old Sanyo phone repeated voice mail alerts, and I would like this on my mogul as well.
Check out Jason Langridges blog - blogs.msdn.com/jasonlan
Last month he blogged about a solution his colleague came up with for this.
Its a reg hack which enables this greyed out option.
I found it. Here it is -
http://blogs.msdn.com/jasonlan/arch...curring-audio-notification-of-new-emails.aspx
Thanks Chris, I'll try it tonight. The comments say it doesn't work though, but I guess it's worth a shot.
I have been using Jason's fix - it did enable the checkbox, but its been hit or miss, alert working sometimes and not others...
anyone have more info?

I'm thinking it's greyed out for a reason..enabling it on mine causes mine to repeat the alarm in an infinate loop even after I've acknowledged it...finally forcing a soft reset.
I don't need it to tell me that message was sent, I can see on the message board that it was. I can't find if I have the option to disable this or not.

You mean the sound? Try unchecking events in sounds and notifications.

u can do this by using "SKTools".
The sound and the message, because then I need to Dismiss the message that the message was sent. I don't need that.
Where and how do I change this in SKTools? Could you break it down a little more for me. Thank You

Hello!
I have a problem with my hd 2.
Somehow I activated the phone lock, i'm not sure how it happened, as I know where the setting is and I don't recall activating it.
The problem is that I can't figure out how to deactivate it again (the check box "Prompt if phone unused for" is grayed out, can't uncheck it)
I can change the settings, like, how much time before it locks up or what password I want to use, but no disable.
I really don't want this phone lock to be activated so if anyone could tell me what to do to deactivate it i'd be most grateful!
Tried to search the forums for it but couldn't find anything.
Thanks!
try clearing the password fields, and changing the time to 0 minutes, and then see if it'll let you untick the box.
You can disable auto lock with BsB Tweaks. That's probably the easiest method.

MidnightDraven: thanks, I tried that but it won't let me clear the password field, just keeps saying that it's not allowed to keep it blank, even if I set the time to 0.....
johncmolyneux: I'll give it a go
Thanks both of you for replying

I tried out this application, and disabled the "auto lock" function, but I still get prompted when I reboot my phone, that I have to type in the phone lock code ?
Seems to have worked other than that....any other ideas as to how I can get rid of it completely ?
I don't know what to say mate. I just set mine to lock and require a pin, but it let me untick the "prompt if unused" checkbox and blanked out the password for me when I did it. It's now back to the way it was.
Have you installed any software recently?

Weird...
Well i'm using topix ROM which I got from these forums, and only other thing I have installed is the cab that makes the battery shown in %.
Could it be the topix ROM perhaps?

It's possible. Try raising the issue in the thread you got the ROM from. I'm sure someone else would have seen the issue if it is caused by that ROM.
Figured it out

Figured out why it got activated!
When I setup the exchange connection for my workplace must be some sort of security policy, that forces you to activate the phone lock if you want to sync the emails, can't find away around it, but at least the mystery is solved
Thanks again for your help!

Glad to help mate
Hi,
I Have the same issue with exchange.
But there is no other option to disable it? some reg modification?
Hi all,
I've just got my HD2 and it's the first Windows Mobile device I've synced with my exchange server. Had the same thing and it really bugged me but I found a work around. If you're an Exchange admin (or you're in good with those who are), Google search for Exchange-2003-Mobile-Messaging-Part2-Uncovering-Device-Security-Policies - use the first link. You can disable the requirement for a password globally, or you can specify an individual user to exclude from the password policy. I've just added my username in as an exclusion and it works like a treat!
Good luck
Is it just me that got annoyed by the SMS logs appearing in Phone/Logs ? I hope not. I have been trying to search for a fix but couldn't find one for S2.
Really appreciate if anyone can help...
Thanks!!!

yeah - but it will come back every time you exit and press Phone again, also, there is no option to display ALL Call Logs, either ALL or individuals....
We need to get rid of the SMS log entirely... or at least the option whether to log it or not...

it is really annoying, may be a dev can help us get rid of this
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
i found a (kinda) solution, but you'll have to install GoSMS from the market. Anyway it's an awesome sms app, i used to use Handcent and Chomp but finally settle for this.
Under Settings---> Receive Settings , check "Disable other message notification".
check it out

This better as you don't have to install a whole new ROM:
