I love Block Recognizer and i am recently using it for my recent English XDA II. Now, i have bought the Chinese ATOM and my "lovely" block recognizer no longer exist. Any clue on how i can get that back?

Hi guys,
I bought a TD2 new, upgrading from my older HTC Trinity (P3600).
On the Trinity I got very used to the Block Recognizer entry method, as it was intuitive and MUCH faster than the keyboard.
On the TD2 the keyboard's very nice but I still wanted to use the Block Recognizer. I know that this exists as an input option but there is a marked difference: Whereas on the Trinity the script I'm writing appears instantaneously under my stylus/finger, on the TD2 there is a half-second delay. This may not seem like a lot but it means that my typing is drastically slowed and has lots of typos!
Does anybody else like to use Block Recognizer and has the same issue? Any fixes known?
Thanks,
Wassim

I have the same problem for letter recognizer and unfortunately no solution. I was so fast with letter recognizer that I could write meeting minutes in real time. Now I have a lot of typos

I´m a block recognizer fan too. I use this cab and works perfect. Hope this help.
Hey MrGusano, thanks for the .cab! I was wondering if there's any documentation on this? If it happens to not work can I then uninstall it?
Cheers,
Wassim
I belive that is happening because of TD2 screen resolution which is 480x800 (384000 pixels to be processed) if you compare it to for example omnia which is 240x320 (76800 pixels) you'll get the idea.
Shortly saying: more dpi (dots per inch) bigger latencies....
Sorry bout' my english guys

The cab has only registry entries inside. No files will be installed.
After installation, you can remove it safely in Settings->Remove Programs
I upgraded touch HD with Duttys latest HD WM6.5 Leo R4 (nice as always) and noticed that letter recognizer disappeared!
I love this feature, is there any way to enable it again?!
I tried the enablerecognizerwwe.cab and altered the registry with no luck.
Please, any advise about this issue is greatly appreciated!.
you mean transcriber ?
never used transcriber before but i came across it and it seems a bit similar
i meant the block recognizer / letter recognizer
if transcriber will get me to write sms and emails like i used before using stylus then please advise how to install it.
am still hoping for the block recognizer though..am so used to it
Hello.
My HTC HD2 only recognises Chinese handwriting, and not English. I went on the settings but I can only chose between Chinese Traditional and Simplified.
Is there anyway I can delete the Chinese Langauge Pack and put the English one on?
Starting to think my HTC HD Has a Chinese ROM on it, could that be possible.
I have CE OS 5.2.21869 (Build 21869.5.0.82)
Also when i turn the phone on, The writing right at the bottom says :
1.48 71284
Everything else is in English though, just the handwriting recognition there is no English for it.
See I don't want to go through the trouble of flashing to a English ROM so is there any files that I can modify to make the handwriting in English?
Regards.
yeah i have this same problem, but mine is an import from hong kong, so would explain why its like that, but i was also wondering how to change it to english handwriting?
Yeah it's a shame.
Anybody know ?
Will anyone here like to trade with me? I have the Tmobile version, and i want the hand write in chinese. Please PM me
English Handwriting
Hi, i got a hong kong htc hd2 import (simply electronics) and i have the same problem, the only handwriting options are for chinese
Also i have to say, the keyboard for the chinese language (when you press the chinese button on the english qwerty keyboard it looks like an iphone keyboard) looks much better than the htc english one, is there any way to change this?
After i try it for few hours, i give up. It is way too slow than the iphone. I return it back and turn back my iphone. I believe I will stay on the iphone...... unless one day they make a better phone.
Hello everyone!
Does anyone know how to find free russian keyboard (input) for HTC Dash 3G
I find it very hard to use a dictonary without it
Thanks much
Hi,
You could configure it yourself using this technique :

all you have to do is set the russian characters to the long press, and you will have a 2 in 1 keyboard.
Cheers.
Hi, so I took the plunge and ordered a unlocked Streak from UK today. And I was wondering if the stock keyboard has the special characters native to my language. It's not a big issue if it does not, but I am hoping they are there. I live in Norway and use " æ ø å " characters often. It's not a problem that the OS itself is in English, but I would love to have the possibility to write in my native language on it
Please give me a heads up if you know, and also a picture / description on how to find these characters if you can

Anyone?

I checked my streak, unfortunately there are no special characters that you needed.
However, surely you can download/search for an alternative keyboard which may contain the extra characters you need.
Ok, I was considering SlideIt anyway, since its the only keyboard with custom national skins, and I like the slide feature. To bad swype does not have Norwegian layout:-s

You can download language packs for SLIDEIT and they do do Norwegian and to be honest slideit is a lot better than swype
I use Scandinavian keyboard for writing Danish (supports danish, norweigian, swedish etc), requires additional dictionary in the case of danish but works really well.
layout is nice enough, has the special characters, and with the dictionary does predictive text and autocorrect etc
Cheers
ps no link due to post count, but search the market for 'scandinavian keyboard'
