oh... u think we didn't try that?
btw, even a hard reset can't modify the call durations.... it's not supposed to...
i've read somewhere in ba forum on how to do it,
example to reset outgoing timer, you write down the current time in the timer. let say its 2 hours. then u call someone, while still on call, you set your clock backward 2 hours. hang up, then set back the clock to the current time.
same goes to incoming timer. dont know if it works in magician.
yo bliiink!!!
it works! thanx a ton dude...
only thing is, i have to set my time back in years to get the outgoin to normal....
i am using orange SPV2000 and it is not working on my phone dear....:
Thats a good solution blink. And as a message to everyone else in this thread, please search the forums. This topic was discussed in detail here.
thanxs man .....even i'm havin da same problem.

Hi guys,
i have a newly bought qtek 9000 and I don't know if its broken. Here the problems:
- when the phone rings the ringtone doesn't play fluidly. Sometimes it hangs as if "there where some scratches in the CD"
- when the phone was quite a long time in standby and I answer the phone, the caller doesn't hear anything that I am saying for about 1 or 2 sec.
- when i eject the sd card the phone reboots.
Are these known bugs or is the phone broken.
thanks in advance
I have the same problem, missed a couple of phone calls because of that.
- It seems there is a delay of 2-3 rings before you actually hear the ringtone when the Exec is in standby mode.
- Also I noticed that it takes significantly longer to display the photo you've just taken in the camera mode.
Thinking to revert back to O2 corp. mode.
well actually I'm answering almost immediatly. The problem is that the other person doesn't hear anything I'm saying. The connection althought is already established.
Does anybody have a solution for this bug. Is there a registry tweak? Or an rom update? This is really an annoying bug.
did you install other software?
if so witch one
Actually not, just Agenda Fusion.
Actually this seems to be minimized if using GPS instead of UMTS.
If I have made a soft reset before and I'm using GPS I can answer immediatly. If I'm using an UMTS connection instead, I have to wait for about 2-3 seconds to begin talking.
Try to disable PowerSave, just use the closing of the camshell to powerdown the Universal. This is what I had to do to make sure I did not miss calls with my Exec in Corp mode (original ROM).

I think you mean GPRS, not GPS. I also have a Qtek9000 and don't seem to get this problem, have you tried hard resetting and installing nothing and see if the problem is still there? Or as you say it only happens when you are "using" UMTS, does this mean you are surfing the web while you get the phone call that has the delay?
Just curious as I hope I don't have the same bug, too.

That is totally not suppose to happen. Do you mean your whole device soft-resets? Or the phone application? Either way, sounds really strange!
well, actually the whole device reboots.
Someone told me it depends on the apps that are installed on the card, but I'd still hadn't any time to check whether it doesn't happen with an empty card. As soon as I do that I will post my achievement.
SPB Pocket Plus
I used to have my device always HARD RESET when I tried installing SPB Pocket Plus in Memory Card. Et even hard resets my ipaq h6340 when I install it in the FileStore.

Hello everyone, i had have this happend to me twice and i dont know what it is. When im on a call my phone hangs up at a certain time between 5 -10 min during the call. And what it does is it hangs up and loses the signal and thake a min to find it. I dont know what could be doing this. Perhaps its the new ROM for HTC which i installed about 2 weeks about, but i cant figure it out. B/c most of my calls are short and are for confermation. Any tips with be great. Thanks!
well i think i kno what it is
I was on another forum and someone told me it was the Radio, i was on the cingular forums to see if they can do anything, they told me to do a hard reset, i did but i havent gotten in a long conversation so we'll see
I've been having the same issue for weeks now.
Someone mentioned if you have an application which is set to automatically connect to the internet (ex. Pocketweather. Newsbreak), then this can potentially be the cause. It has something to do with switching between voice and data.
There's a simple registry fix for this. Read about it last night, but don't have a link handy. It was in the Wizard forums here.
Please
Please look for it it would be greatly apritated
Registry change for dropped calls after 4 minutes
Add the key
HKLM\drivers\builtin\ril\GPRSStallWorkaround=dw:0
See http://www.netmotionwireless.com/support/technotes/2208.asp for an explanation...
I dont see it
I dont see "GPRSStallWorkaround"=dword:0" do i make it or what i read the link you gave me
Add the keyY
You need to add the key with a value of a double word (dw) of 0. Check out the link above...
Thanks for starting a thread like this. i usually experience this issue when I'm using Agile Messenger and a call comes in. If I don't close Agile while on the call it will just drop the call.
I might give this GPRSStallWorkaround a try if anyone gets any results from it.
Soo
I copy this entire thing word for word GPRSStallWorkaround"=dword:0 ? and put the type DWORD
Negative
you make a new key as descibed above and give it a value of a double word of 0.
OOOK
ok i got it now i see it.. and that will solve it i presume and i soft reset?
yep...reset it...
it will address the problem descibed in the link above...
It works!!
Thanks soo much i was on a call for 20 min straight and it didnt disconnect. thanks soo much again
Hi guys
Is there a program out there that will sound an audible alert (or vibration) once a current call reaches a set number of minutes?
My current phone plan allows me 10 free minutes per call to a nominated number (with no flagfall!) so in order to make maximum use of this, whenever I call my nominated number, I have to hang up before the 10 minutes are up and then call again.
Is there anything that will keep track of how long the current call has gone for and do a notification once it reaches a set number of seconds/minutes? That way, I will never go over the 10 minutes and enjoy free calls =)
Thanks in adv!

off topic......that paln sound good! details please...eg. network/plan
cheers guys aussie aussie aussie...!
I have a similar plan to the one mentioned above, my question is...
....anyone out there actually using this software? It'd be great to hear an opinion from an actual user before actually buying it.
..I'd be running it on a softbank X01HT running black 3.5 so I'm guessing compatibility wouldn't be an issue
thanks in advance!

Same here man, it's been happening since last few days...the call at the other end cuts after a few rings but i don't get anything on my cellphone. I'm using onyx rom. I'll try today by changing the rom as i think it is the problem with his rom 4.16 .
I hope the problem goes away.
I used to get the problem a lot with my Cruise no matter what radio I used. Also on my Diamond earlier on. But have never had the problem on my Touch.
I'd suggest trying to downgrade/upgrade your Radio rom to a different version (or even the system rom), hopefully that'll fix the problem, if not. It could always be an actual hardware issue, might need to use that warranty.
lemme downgrade the ROM...coz..i m using the latest versions
I have the FUZE and was missing a TON of calls and having even more dropped calls. The reason was because I was having a SIM card failure. Calling customer support they were able to fix it right away. Send the updated data the sim card needed and all I had to do was soft reset the phone and I was good to go. I havn't missed a call or had any dropped calls since. Before I was probably missing 5-10 percent of my calls and 80-90 percent of the ones I was getting would get dropped anywhere between 2-20 minutes into the conversation. I really bugger... My suggestion is to call your customer support and have them run a network test on your SIM which should take them all of 20 seconds to diagnose and fix the issue.. if that's it!
good luck!
@appoos : have you tried upgrading your radio rom to ur current custom rom.. 3.21.90 is the best in my opinion n most ppl aswel! give it a try.. hope it'd help out!!

Does anyone know how to reset the usage which displays the total incoming and outgoing calls? I've flashed the ROM already and done a hard reset but this info is still there.

Not quite sure if thats possible.. as that is like the total KM count on your car.. you cant reset it.. its a way to see how old is the phone and what the usage has been

in WM 5 and below, you could rest this timer by changing the time WHILE A CALL IS IN PROGRESS. to bring it back to zero for example, you need to take the clock back by the number of hours the usage counter is displaying! I tried it on the Universal and earlier WM devices and it worked. might be worth giving it a go. hope it works!
