Does anyone know how to reset the usage which displays the total incoming and outgoing calls? I've flashed the ROM already and done a hard reset but this info is still there.

Not quite sure if thats possible.. as that is like the total KM count on your car.. you cant reset it.. its a way to see how old is the phone and what the usage has been

in WM 5 and below, you could rest this timer by changing the time WHILE A CALL IS IN PROGRESS. to bring it back to zero for example, you need to take the clock back by the number of hours the usage counter is displaying! I tried it on the Universal and earlier WM devices and it worked. might be worth giving it a go. hope it works!

Hi Guys,
After a hard reset to tidy up last Friday I've noticed that my call duration timers are showing a status of Unknown. This is for the total duration call timers in Device Information.
Having this reset is grand, especially if I want to sell the device, but I'd like to know how it happened.... has anyone else seen this?

Strange! - There are a lot of people who would like to know how it happened . Out of interest, have you tried to see if they actually increment still?
They don't change at all! The recent call log is fine and counts correctly, but the total duration does not move a muscle.
I know that it's been a requested option to reset them, wish I knew what did it though!!
Cheerio
My God, so you have discovered the secret of the equivalent of disconnecting the speedo on a car! . If only we knew what had done it!
HaHa, yeah something like that.
Altough, to be honest my device seems to be very slow and unresponsive at the moment, so I might hard reset again. I guess that it's possible the timers will come back on.
The steps I remember taking were as follows, (excuse me if this is verbose!)
1. Wife had problem with her phone, I put her sim in my phone to test it.
2. On Friday morning I backed up using Sprite, then hard reset and restored.
3. Found the device more sluggish than usual so hard reset and manually installed.
4. Prevented auto config by soft resetting.
5. Installed the following from Extended rom -
AudioPatch,
Broadcast_WWE.sa
CallerIDB32_Hima2_WWE
CameraRC10_Streaming_reg
MIDI1.6.0.14WWE
OEM_WWE_04071402.sa
Version_AKU2_172.sa
6. Installed the following apps.
Resco Explorer
PocketZenPhone
New Avantgo Beta
FingerClix
PocketInformant
Thememaster
SPB PocketPlus
7. Since then my timers are in the status Unknown as shown above.
If I hard reset again today, I will attempt to follow the same procedure and see if the unknown status remains.
Cheerio
No doubt you will let us know
it takes like a year to get to clock settings to set an alarm. text messages i can only see one line but if i slide the keyboard shut the line will be visible and i can reopen it and write another line. what is going on? i've had the phone since late september, is it just time for a hard reset or what?
I would try a hard reset with those problems.
okay. can anyone tell me what precautions i need to take before a hard reset? will i need to write all my numbers down or will i just be able to sync them back on? will my myfavs stay? will the phone work and everything or will i need to take it to tmobile?
if your numbers are stored on the sim card, then you won't lose them.
if they are stored to main memory, you should connect your phone to a PC via activesync and back them up into outlook.
Alternatively, you can use a program called PIMBackup to save them. Run a search for it on this site.
Assuming your running the stock tmobile rom, you won't lose your myfaves.
Everything should work fine, and even better than it does now after you hard reset.

1/3 of a second.
hard reset is pretty much like soft resetting your phone, except for when it comes up, you have to do the initial setup you did when you turned on your phone for the first time. Takes a few minutes.
thanks, works like a charm now! do we know when wm 6.1 will be released and how to obtain it and if it will be free? i know we can get hacked versions or whatever now, but i mean fully legit ways. i really want threaded sms.
Well... yea, the process of setting up the phone after you hard reset might take a few minutes. lol
EDIT: The chances of us getting an official WM6.1 are zero to none.
happened while i was sleeping, there are 2 arrows and an X on the top bar next to my signal indicator which is completely full. says there are no data connections and won't let me send texts. i have soft reset my phone and i get the same thing.
any ideas?

well it is working now, it makes calls and sends/receives texts now.
it happened last night when i was sleeping and continued until an hour or so ago.
i still have the two arrows and X that say no data connections though, even after a reset, and one text remains in the outbox no matter what.

Are you running stock rom? Did you install anything prior to this happening?
i am on the stock ROM, i have quite a few things, the most recent things i installed were a few games. i don't think they would be the culprit

Well, not really sure what's going on with that, but I think I would do a hard reset to make sure it isn't a software issue.

yeah now i have a text that stays in the outbox that sends every time i turn on the phone and even when i clear all my texts they show right back up after a reset. i'm going to flash to the newest official ROM (because apparently 2 were released within a week or something) since i have to hard reset anyways.

Good luck with that...but I heard there were some issues with the newest official release. Have you thought about flashing to a cooked rom?
Hi Guys,
I have tried searching on this forum for call timer reset, but I got so confused by the different threads that I could not understand anything.
My son had a SE K850i where I could reset the call timers for every month to see if he has gone beyond his allowance. Now he is using my old Diamond, but I do not see any option of resetting the outgoing call counters.
Is there something that I am missing?
Can somebody please help me?
Thanks
Sure in WM6.1 under Start>>Settings>>System>Device Info>>Call Timers there is a reset call timers option.
Unfortunately I have upgraded to WM6.5 so can not verify this for you as the option does not show in my ROM.
i posted the same problem a few days ago, but did not get it resolved, here is the thread

Guys,
I have also updated to NRG's 6.5 and there is no option to reset.
My HD2 is very oftenly freezing. It happens when I dial someone, when someone is calling me and I try to pick up. IT also happens when i go favorite people and try to dial someone, it just sits like that and it doesn`t do anything....any ideas? should I hard reset? I am with the stock Tmobile USA rom, as I have not installed any new roms...I have bsb tweaks installled, if it makes a difference.
I happened the same problem, when an incoming call, the phone freezes and suddenly forced to make a soft reset.
have you installed HD2 tweak?
For my part, this problem due the option of the phone's response time before an incoming call, it should not modify.
i 've done a hard reset because impossible to call or receive a call, even having given the option as original.
CISSOU,
j'ai le même problème, l'as tu résolu ?
I've the same problem, did you solve it ?

maybe due to 3rd party app(s) installed.
consider to flash to a decent cooked ROM. read, read, read the ROM thread before you decided which ROM to choose, and back things up first.

actually I installed HD2 Tweak and the same happened to me right after i installed it. do i have to hard reset?
my HD2 also has got the same freezing errors! To me if I remember it on my previous phones like my Touch Diamond this is a Windows error, like Vista has on your Desktop computer. To much program-memory for your device memory.
yes, you must hard reset the phone, even if you take the option like stock.
In hd2 tweaks, when you're on the option "response time before incomming call", they mentioned: "be carreful, don't work with all operators"
I'm under Orange stock rom, i have to hard reset my phone, i'm sure that's the matter
I have the official Rom 1.66 from HTC site (last version from french version).
Pb exist started with previous Rom, and goes on with this one
I have almost nothing installed, specially because I have this issue.
More over the phone has been working perfectly for 5 months before, without pb.
It happended suddenly Monday morning. I'v done hard reset too. Doesn't change.
Only thing : when the battery is less than 30% loaded, it seems to be working better. Maybe battery issue ? What do you think
Thansk for you advises
I really don't know, but for my part, the problem comes from HD2 Tweaks, if you have do a hard reset with two different rom, i think that the matter commes to your phone, perhaps contact the after sales service.
