Hi Guys,
After a hard reset to tidy up last Friday I've noticed that my call duration timers are showing a status of Unknown. This is for the total duration call timers in Device Information.
Having this reset is grand, especially if I want to sell the device, but I'd like to know how it happened.... has anyone else seen this?

Strange! - There are a lot of people who would like to know how it happened . Out of interest, have you tried to see if they actually increment still?
They don't change at all! The recent call log is fine and counts correctly, but the total duration does not move a muscle.
I know that it's been a requested option to reset them, wish I knew what did it though!!
Cheerio
My God, so you have discovered the secret of the equivalent of disconnecting the speedo on a car! . If only we knew what had done it!
HaHa, yeah something like that.
Altough, to be honest my device seems to be very slow and unresponsive at the moment, so I might hard reset again. I guess that it's possible the timers will come back on.
The steps I remember taking were as follows, (excuse me if this is verbose!)
1. Wife had problem with her phone, I put her sim in my phone to test it.
2. On Friday morning I backed up using Sprite, then hard reset and restored.
3. Found the device more sluggish than usual so hard reset and manually installed.
4. Prevented auto config by soft resetting.
5. Installed the following from Extended rom -
AudioPatch,
Broadcast_WWE.sa
CallerIDB32_Hima2_WWE
CameraRC10_Streaming_reg
MIDI1.6.0.14WWE
OEM_WWE_04071402.sa
Version_AKU2_172.sa
6. Installed the following apps.
Resco Explorer
PocketZenPhone
New Avantgo Beta
FingerClix
PocketInformant
Thememaster
SPB PocketPlus
7. Since then my timers are in the status Unknown as shown above.
If I hard reset again today, I will attempt to follow the same procedure and see if the unknown status remains.
Cheerio
No doubt you will let us know

Hello!
First, I'd like to say hello, have been lurking for some time here, now I've got my o2 trion and can now actively read/participate . I'm having some troubles with the trion though.
I've meant to use it as an alarm clock (using Mort) and for that, I've setup the device not to suspend while on AC, only to shut off the display. Two days in a row after I've woken up (using another alarm clock, precaution is everything ), I've found trion has hung by that time; I couldn't activate it except by soft reset. Today I've experimented a bit and left it for about two or three hours on AC. After that, I've activated it (tap) and started a programm (Skype in this case, but I guess it doesn't matter). Trion hung while starting it, only soft reset helped again. I figured out Mort started in the morning and hung the system.
I've got Pocket Informant 2007 running, a couple of Today plugins (Birthday, Mort's Today), WM5 build 14955.2.3.0, ROM version should be 1.25.207.1 though I'm not sure about that. It's the current o2 Germany ROM.
Questions:
Has anyone experienced this behaviour?
If not, do you have any idea, what could be causing hangs (my symptoms are rather vague)?
I've kicked all of branding from the thing a couple of days ago with a hard reset, the only cab from ExtROM I installed was PP_Suspend_Resume_Null.CAB, as I assumed this could be a fix for some bug. Could THIS have something to do with the problem above?
What happens to my SMS' and missed calls if I don't read them before soft resetting?
Thank you.
I find my unit hangs as well if left alone. It was on charge last night, didn't sound the alarms at 6am and eventually when I got up (a bit later ) I had to soft reset it in order to get it working
Not sure how to fix it. In the past any telephone calls or SMS messages I have received during the "hung" phase I lose. Not much I can do about that I'm afraid
These freezes are often caused by active sync running all by itself. Providing you do not use push mail see the following thread:
see my post here - you need to follow each step carefully and consider the auto soft reset at a time before alarms are due.

Hi guys, please help save my sanity, I use my T-Mobile MDA as my alarm clock in the mornings and have done so since I got it on Ebay about 4 months ago.
The problems started this morning though, when the alarm activated it didn't give me the option to cancel with the left soft key or snooze with the right soft key - it just kept going....and going....and going!!!!! Even after a soft reset.....so I turned it off and removed the battery, refitted the battery and turned it on and the alarm started to go again... and again... and again I managed to stop it after a while but I dont know how because I'd restarted it and soft started it and switched off the alarms so many times I lost track of what I did!
Then this afternoon when I disconnected the MDA from my PC at work it locked out (it does this quite frequently - a different problem but still annoying though) I normally fix this by carrying out a soft reset, which I did....then the bloody alarm thing started all over again EVEN THOUGH THE ALARMS WERE ALL DISABLED, 45 minutes of mucking about again and now it has finally stopped again....please please please can anyone suggest how I fix this cos if I can't the phones going in the bin - I mean the unit is a useful little business tool but its got lots of problems that make it a pain in the as* sometimes. I dont know what software its running or anaything like that cos I'm not sure where to get these details - sorry.
Many many many thanks in advance.

use clear_notify.exe and remove duplicates of "clock" events.
or
check_notifications.exe
Try to use SPB Time http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/time/?en , they did have few bugs with their alrm system, but in this new version they have rectified all the bugs, and it is really working fine, keep it in mind that once u use any other software for alarm then DO NOT use the basic windows alarm. SPB Time has also got a nice ScreenSaver functionality with your own picture support.
GoodLuck

No problem - i have tried a few alarms and they all use the same notification system for setting up an alarm so i do not think one has any benefit from another in terms of reliability (although you will always have diff people swaring by their paricular alarm) but diff ones have extra features - eg. play mp3, wma's etc...
IMHO you can have a reliable alarm by
1. Keeping the notification queue clean - i feel these errors occur when the NQ becomes large/corrupt
2. If it is for a morning alarm - plug your device into the mains and do not let it go into standby - this will give you a reliable alarm.
If you want to look into other alarms see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...highlight=wrap
and here http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/s.php?querywords=alarm
sorry for making this same old thread again but i never had a issue with my missed calls until i hard reset my phone and took off all the tmobile add-ons. I read about deleting the list registry tweak but people said the list recreates itself when you restart your phone. I would like to how do you delete the whole program off of my wing. I know i can change the people in my favs by going to the t-mobile website but i just want the whole program gone since it was annoying whenever i tried to use it. Thanks for any help
I'm one of the people who had this problem before. Unforunately, I can't tell you how to fix it. It just worked one time after I did a hard reset, and now after hard resetting more (because of other issues), it's actually working 100% pefectly. Prior to this, I had it kinda working, but sometimes it still wouldn't log calls. I'm flashing to touch-it 2.3 again and I'll see if it still works.
Sorry I can't help, but if you can afford to hard reset, it might be worth a shot.
Hi ,
I've searched about every forum I could find, but m problem is:
I have the x1.
Installed the tweak, Spb Mobile shell, Fring, Slide2unlock
I have the newest rom update.
Every time I get a call OR when I make a call my sound automatically goes through the speaker. I don't want that.
I want to decide if and when the call is going through te speaker.
I disabled s2u but it did not help.
Am I missing something?
Please do help.
I did a hard reset today.
then afterwards I found the problem to be solved.
but afterwards some of my previous settings were gone
so I have restored to before.
I still have the same problem for which I now know is clearly a software issue.
Could it be caused by slide2unlock?
please help
i have slide 2 unlock and no issues for me.
so you can probably rule that one out. \i cant help you with anything else tho
Well I'd hard reset and slowly install programs and change settings until you find what is causing the problem.
think that is the only option left.
unfortunately I did that once
the basic setting were completel different than now.
maybe someone has an answer.. otherwise.. dang...
I called the xperia service number today.
It seems there is an update of the ROM availlable.
BUT NOT FOR T-mObile phones...
Anyways.
they also stated one option: hard reset.
damned...
I'll try that and back-it up after every bit of installed software.
Maybe the problem will show up...
hate it when these type of things happen.
Does anyone know how to reset the usage which displays the total incoming and outgoing calls? I've flashed the ROM already and done a hard reset but this info is still there.

Not quite sure if thats possible.. as that is like the total KM count on your car.. you cant reset it.. its a way to see how old is the phone and what the usage has been

in WM 5 and below, you could rest this timer by changing the time WHILE A CALL IS IN PROGRESS. to bring it back to zero for example, you need to take the clock back by the number of hours the usage counter is displaying! I tried it on the Universal and earlier WM devices and it worked. might be worth giving it a go. hope it works!
