Hey guys
This has happened to me after the latest AKU2 rom.
Every time I disconnect the usb cable from the device, ActiveSync gives me this error:
The instruction at "0x7470b439" referenced memory at "0x7470b439". The memory could not be "read".
Next time I connect my Qtek9000 with ActiveSync it works fine without any problems, BUT I do not have Internet on the phone. The only way to have internet on my device again is to uninstall and reinstall ActiveSync on my pc...
Anyone has a similar problem? Any solutions? :/

I bought myself a a qtek S100 a few weeks ago and it's been working fine up until today
Today I sended a file via Bt from my Nokia smart phone to the Qtek so that I could dowload it to the computer faster via USB cable. The file was 764k real player video. Anyway after the transfer ended the Qtek started acting funny...is started by geting slow and slower and slower ... the cable was already pluged and the connection set so I tryed to acess it via PC...no sucess.
I unpluged and did a reset, thought that would solve the problem...
When I tryed to sync after the reset it showed an error message on the PC saying "Critical Communications Services have failed to start. Try reseting the mobile device and start again" Well I did...and also dowloaded MS Active Sync 3.8 and instaled it again.
The outcome was still the same...."Critical Communications Services have failed to start. Try reseting the mobile device and start again"
Anyone ever experienced this? How can I solve this?
Eheheh go easy on me kinda noobish here

Here's the follow up just in case anyone will have the same problem...
As it turns out the problem wasn't in the Pocket Pc...although the error message in windows (Pc) asked for a reset of the PP, the problem was actually in PC. It seems that somehow the Antivirus (Bitdefender with integrated firewall) started detecting the usb cable connection with the PDA as an internet connection, and althought I had authorised it the High level of security imposed by the Firewll and it's rules on the Pc enabled the connection but disabled any kind of exchange between the computer and the PDA. Well to put it plain and simple...active sync would start and everything went smoothly up until trying to open the pocket PC for file browsing...then the antivirus would kick in and wouldn't allow data tranfer as it would consider it harmfull for the computer...hence the error message.
ehehe Problem solved ...hope this helps the next one that has the same prob.
I have been trying to sincronize my S200 Qtek but it is impossible. I have made several hard and soft resets and tried with three different computers. I have installed 4.1, 4.2 and 4.5 beta versions of ActiveSync, but it is always the same: ActiveSync seems to turn on but no sincronization initialize when I connect my S200 to the USB port.
I have also made a format and reinstall windows XP but I can't syncronize information... please help me!
I have also tried to install "USB killer" without success...
Did you disable Win XP firewall? You have to disable it or any other firewall that may be installed.
If that solves your problem search MS site for how to authorise ActiveSync for your firewall.
Yes, in fact when I reinstalled windows I didn't install Norton because of the firewall. I have also unactivated windows firewall... but no sincronization occurrs
Maybe you could try another USB Cable? Or try to sync using Bluetooth?
Can't sync my S200 either...
Don't think it's cable because it is brand new :'(
Have you tried to upgrade to the latest activesync right after the installation of windows? (found here)
And perhaps some overactive antivirus programs can bug up syncing too sometimes. Did the installation of new hardware go well after you plug in your device?
When you plug in, did nothing happen or was there a small screen saying it was getting information from the phone? If yes, were you able to setup a connection (guest etc) and after that it didn't want to sync?
Got this issue resolved the fault was some tweaking I did... See, I use fixed IP with my router so I disabled the DHCP client service on services.msc... So activesync could't get the right adress from the prophet... Still don't know how I manage to make that assumption about this problem, but gladly I did
Hope this help other people with similar problem...

First of all i really want to thank all the Helmi_c and all the developers; My BA is most updated running wm6.
Well much better than wm5 but I have some issues:
1. cant sync it with my PC in anyways (BT, usb etc), USB drivers are not working correctly.
2. sometimes when i pick or dial a call, i cant hear nething.
and last but not relevant to this, guys how do i stop my BA slider from falling down when I use keyboard.
1. Try delete the actual partnership in AS, sync again; if not reinstall AS on PC
2. No problem here with the sound.
same problem here
I upgraded my XDA2s, customized it,backedup, then upgraded my brothers XDA2s and used my customized backup on his XDA2s.
Now my XDA connects fine, but his doesn't !!!
Both our XDa2s's are identical in everyway.
tried a hard reset and restore from another backup and still no luck!
we were trying to save time re-installing the same softwares.
tried deleting partnerships, no luck. tried spb backup and clone, no luck.
any ideas!
Do you get any error messages on AS? Can you browse the internet from device?
usb drivers
can anybody post usb drivers i think this is the problem cause my device isnt installed properly it says problem with inf file.
whoever is able to connect his device to xp desktop via active sync usb connection, please copy the drivers folder contents from program files in active sync folder.
thanks, hope this works
Is your windows firewall enabled? Since WM6 activesync makes use of a LAN connection to sync with the PC, you must allow activesync trough the windows XP firewall, or disable the windows XP firewall completely...
no sound problems with me...
did you try to install WM6_SoundFix_.cab ?

Hi,
My Prophet has caused my PC to crash more than 3 times and I need some help.
I have read a lot of threads on the forum, but haven’t come across anything that sounds like the problem I am having.
My PC usually crashes right after I plug in my Prophet through USB or if it is plugged in, right after I unplug it.
Immediately after, I get the Blue Screen of Death with the message which references the following:-
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
It also has the following Tech Info.
*** STOP: 0*0000000D1(0*BA741E10, 0*00000002, 0*00000001*0*A8293BEB)
*** RNDISMPX.SYS Address A8293BEB base at A828F000, Datestamp 43584898
It seems that I do not have the correct USB drivers on my PC for my Prophet. Where can I download the most recent drivers to stop my PC from crashing?
Anyone able to send them to me?
Also, Activesync fails to recognize my PPC when it is plugged in with the USB, it goes through the sequences where it says “connecting” forever but never connects to the device.
The BT connection has been working well for me so far, but without a stable USB connection to Activesync, I cannot upgrade my Prophet to WM6.
I have turned off the firewall and install, re-installed Activesync, I have Hard Reset my device a couple of times. In the end Activesync fails to connect to my device and then I usually end up crashing my PC.
I am open to some suggestions, thanks

SPL:- 2.20.0000
ROM:- 2.20.7.34. WWE

Activesync 4.1 and 4.5
Remove the drivers from the pc for the prophet, plug prophet back in and let windows sort it out for you.
For some reason my phone just won't activesync anymore at all.
I'm running k's ROM v1.30b and i have the newest activesync program from microsoft (4.5). When i connect my phone it says device not recognized. Has anyone ran into this before? What could the problem be?
