This I guess is the news you've been waiting for, and amongst the Press Release below the following paragraph is definitely worth noting..

Palm Inc. and i-Mate also reaffirmed their commitment to free MSFP upgrades. In addition, new Windows Mobile-based devices were unveiled today, all of which will ship with Direct Push technology: the HP iPAQ hw6900 Mobile Messenger, the Gigabyte Communications g-Smart, the ASUS P305 3G-enabled smartphone, and the Fujitsu Siemens FS Pocket Loox. In addition, HTC Corp. has unveiled a new product portfolio of Windows Mobile-based devices that are Direct Push-enabled and will be made available globally to T-Mobile and other operators beginning in the second quarter of this year."

what happened to A2DP?
An O2 account manager told me that they expect to release the new ROM with MSFP and presumably A2DP / AKU2 today, no sign on the my-xda.com site yet though.

New ROM is now on o2 website. You have to type valid IMEI and o2 mobile number for download...

I've just been to http://www.my-xda.com/xdaminis_soft3.html and the ROM isn't there - the launch ROM is the only one showing...?
Once you've entered the IMEI code it directs you to here

But gives a file not found. Guess they're still updating the web pages.

Okay, I see they've not updated the page I clicked above, but if you go to the main page the links are there.
The 50Mb EXE file downloads as 4K though, so somebody clearly jumped the gun when updating the page.
I can only see the file : Launch ROM v 1.5.4.102 (49.0 MB) ??????

In Germany we have the problem, that o2 have never released a rom since some for the XDA I and II. No one for the III / Mini / Mini S. And i think this Rom won't be available in germany too.
O2 has a very bad update politic.
Contacted O2 with regards to Costs for using push email, and they inform me that its only the amount of GPRS data you use (Personal user not business).
But they include 1Mb free with every tariff and anything additional is £3 per Mb.
Is this the correct information ? Sometimes customer services do give out wrong information.
can someone post the direct link to the update as when i put in my imei number and phone number, the site just keeps resetting back to the start. i ported my number from orange so don't know if they recognise it as a o2 number.

Is this rom that different to Qtek as I can see the radio etc is the same its just the extended rom that is newer, and that is prob just full of O2 crap that no-one needs.
But if I'm wrong let me know.

Does anyone have or know if MSFP (Messaging and Security Feature Pack) is available for 2003se or something with similar functionality??? I've found RoadSync http://www.dataviz.com/products/roadsync/winmobile/index.html, but looking for MS or other alternatives.
I would like the direct HTTPS push of email notifications, rather than the current method of Email to SMS which is available in 2003se. I am running my own Exchange server, and would really like this feature!
MSFP is available only for WM5 (maybe WM6) roms only, it is a part of the OS so it can not be distributed as cab, because it will be inpossible to replace the working rom files via CAB instalation
