Hack the Universal to connect to 802.11g wireless - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

Is there a way to allow the Universal to accept 802.11g connection?
I have a linksys G router, the specs say that it can be used as an 802.11b but my device does not connect to it. My Universal only states that the netowrk is "available" but when I try to connect it, it drops and reverts to 'available'.

Getting a Wireless Router for a XDAIIs

I am looking to get a ADSL Wireless router for use with my computers and the XDA IIs.
The one I have my eye on is the "Dlink DSL-G604T ADSL Router With Wireless LAN Access & Built-in 4-port Switch 54Mbps" - but I noticed that it uses 802.11g Wifi and the XDAIIs has 802.11b, so my question is, is it possible to connect the two together?
802.11b and 802.11g devices will connect with no problems. The worst that can happen is that all 802.11g devices will use the slower speed of the XDAIIs while it's connected.

JasJar wifi problem

I can't connect in wifi to my router Linksys WRT54G. I have this problem only between this router and this pda.
Please help me.
Thanks
Is your router set to 11G only, or 11B AND 11G? The Universal can only handle the slower 11B...
Now i can connect, but only if i use manual settings.
I added manually my wireless network and, under network adapters, i set the tiacxwin compatible wireless ethernet to use specific ip address.
And it works.
Now i must be sure that it work in my home too, where it was set all automatic.

t-mobile SDA

I am befuddled. I have a T-Mobile MDA and a netgear WPN824 wireless router. It is set for extended range and 108Mb transfer rate. I have it set to WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES]. Its using channel 6. SSID is hidden. Radio is on and I have it set for range extender. RIP is off and UPnP is on. Access control list isnt turned on. Any suggestions on how to get my MDA on the home network? I did enable wireless G on the MDA by altering the registry so it is now an option. I can get the MDA to see the network and create a connection that uses WPA-PSK [TKIP], it just simply doesnt connect and I am not sure why. I can see the status of connected devices and it shows the mac, but it can never draw an IP. Odd thing is, it doesnt show a device name for the PDA on the router...could that have somethign to do with it? Any software that might allow higher networking compatability?
so no one with any ideas?

802.11 "b" or "g"? How do I know?

As the title says... My router is capable of 802.11 G as well as B. It also does 108mbps. Any way to find out which way I'm currently connected? G by default hopefully?
Thanks.
you can set your router to connect via "G" only, and see if your TyTN still connects. if so, then you will be connecting via "G" when your router is using both.
BTW, can any program on the TyTN really use the full "G" speed?

Qtek 9100 - won't connect to new wireless router

Hi, I replaced my zyxel wireless modem router with a new Belkin N1 wireless modem router.
I configured the belkin with same wep details as old router. My wireless music steaming devide, my laptop and my Wii all connected right away - no problems - so I know the wep key etc is entered ok. BUT my phone will no longer connect.
My phone does connect ot the wireless network in my work place.
I rebooted the phone, no joy! Reset it, no joy!
I switched off the belkin and put the zyxel back on, and it connects at home.
I tried switching the belkin to broadcast G, no joy!
When I try to get it to connect to the network it shows all gren bars - so the signal is strong.
I dont use mac filtering.
Out of ideas - anybody know a solution?
