Has anyone returned thier K-JAM to the repair center in CA (USA). I've received a repsonse from Club I-Mate Tech Support and they want me to return it to the center in Dubai. Anyone had luck in getting a response from the USA center..?
From what I've heard...the CA location is just an office quite, no repairs. And their Texas repair center cannot handle the K-JAM.

But I thought Texas had everything bigger and better than the rest of the world
Even the O2 repair centre in Slough fixes them!
So sad that is not true

Hi All,

I noticed on other threads that HTC europe can do Full Cosmetic Refurbishment for about £65??
Has anyone used HTC Europe for a Full Cosmetic Refurbishment?
Cheers
John
seems like a bit of waste of money to me

Hi I haven't used them for a refurb but I took my blueangel up there for a repair and when I got there I managed to drop my universal in the car park on the way in. the guy in there seemed really nice, I asked him about a new case for the universal ad he said it was about 60 odd quid so I assume they just replace all the cases for that price, he said it was a complete housing. I didn't bother getting it done though. blueangel came back working though, had to chase them a bit though but I wasn't really in a hurry for it though because I don't use it any more but bear it in mind that it could take a while, mine was there for about a week and a half. think they forgot. interesting place though from reception you can look round the corner and see them all working on the phones.

Not true. o2's XDA helpline will arrange repairs / cosmetic refurbs. SBE are only *i-mate* authorised service agents, no other Universal brands, and may not be able to get exec parts.
www.sbe-ltd.com
p.s they are useless.

I contacted o2's repair centre and they said they don't do cosmetic refurbs.
Do you have any other avenues I can chase?
Thanks.

They previously re-furbed my wallaby. But then I did work for them ( in the Arlington Centre in Leeds) at the time 8) .
What part(s) do you need? Are you happy fitting it yourself? I have everything but the base and hinge brackets.

Hi,
I had my Orange M5000 fully refurbished just last week. Took a week to come back but the quality and service was excellent, only cost me £30.
Came back with protective lables on it etc, that were easily pulled off. Looks like brand new again.
(Tho in true form for my universals, the hinge is already clicking as bit)

Today I called the repair center of HTC for the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg (Eurotwice) because I brought my HD2 screen in for repair ealier. My screen had a watery spot under the glass, that's the reason why.
They told me by next wednesday they will recieve 50 (!) screens from Taiwan. Also they told me that it wasn't sure if my device would be repaired with this shipment, BECAUSE THERE WERE A LOT MORE THAN 50 SCREENS TO REPAIR.
A lot more than 50 HD2 screens to repair at one time??? For such small countries like Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg?
I don't know what to think about this, such a sophisticated machine such a well respected manifacturer like HTC...
Any comment?
I guess they could be backed up with repairs, there was a thread on here a couple weeks back of somebody sending there's off for repair and they received an email asking if they can send it back not repaired as spare parts are in short demand,
Hi guys,
I hope some Romanians can verify this?
My phone has the famous digitizer issue (screen not responding when coming out of standby), where I called HTC Romania.
They told me to contact their repair center in Bucharest. (http://www.cirma.ro/)
That repair center states I have to pay 1000 LEI (250 EUR) for this repair, while the phone still is in warranty. Aren't there such things as 'in warranty repairs' here in Romania?
As I am not Romanian, I would like some info in regards to this. Otherwise I have to ship it to the UK or to Holland (where I'm from) to have it repaired.
Please, some feedback would be appreciated.
Multumesc foarte mult!
Hy, here , in Romania, the thing are a little bit different. You could repair your phone in warranty only if you bought it from here. The procedure is also very complicated, we must go with the deffective device on our provider, they send the phone to Cirma, after repair Cirma send it back to the provider and only after that we can enjoy again about our beautifull device. Also they ask for entire package, not only the device, I don`t know why ! And the whole procedure takes about 3-4 weeks . So , I think you can send it to your country for repair, the time will be almost the same. I called also Cirma service an they told to me that replacing the digitizer costs 1000 LEI.
I had a screen problem too on my Hd2 (a white spot) and I've been to Collection Point (on Stefan Cel Mare), they made and a diagnose of the problem and then they changed the screen for free (on warranty). In my case I bought the device from Romania.
My advice is to go to a Collection Point with your Invoice and warranty certificate in order to clarify if your papers are eligible here in Ro.
Thanks guys,
I think i'll just ship it to Holland anyway.
Just came of the phone with Cirma, and they won't repair my HTC device, as I didn't buy it here in Romania. (Which, legally is very wrong, as HTC has a European Warranty certificate and Cirma is supposed to be a valid repair partner).
Next to that, there is no such thing as a warranty 'certificate' when you get a phone in Holland. You have your proof of purchase, with warranty booklets by HTC. I've been everywhere in the world, but this is the only country still sticking to certificates and stamps..
Oh well, I thank you for your replies, they are appreciated!
Sorry about that, but think a little: we are living here from the beginning of our life . It is worst than anything

No worries mate, I am not blaming you
But i have some positive news. I went into a repair point from Cordon Electronics (Auchan/Titan) and explained them everything.
Last Friday I gave my phone with a proof of purchase to them, explaining that in Holland (where i bought the phone) does not have 'warranty certificates' and I showed them the HTC warranty booklet. They took my unit in (Friday night at 20.00) and just now i received an SMS, that the unit can be collected from the same point, repaired and all.
New mainboard, buttons, digitizer, LCD panel All in warranty. I guess when things can be explained properly and the person understands the situation, not much can go wrong
Can't wait to get my beloved HD2 back after work
Update
Went to the Service Point last night, only to find out they did replace the mainboard, and LCD, unfortunately, it did not fix the problem.
So again, it's in repair
Keep us informed
Hi
Does anyone know if I have an Samsung phone that have a defect, if I have to send it back where I bought it or if I just can contact Samsung and then bring it to the nearest Samsung Service center?
I bought the phone from the internet, and they have their store far away in another city. I have checked for Samsung service centers/partners close to where I live on Samsungs webpage, and found 1 actually in my city. So I would prefer to bring it to this center here in my city rather to send it far away.
Will that be possible? or will Samsung say that I HAVE to send it back to where I bought it? FYI I bought it in Germany, but I also live in Germany.
When I rang Samsung regarding the faulty bootloader they asked me for my post code and then advised me of the closest service centre to where I live.
They just said take proof of purchase with you to the service centre so you should be fine i would have thought.
Hi, I have a yotaphone 2 with cracked back display. I contacted yotaphone and been informed that i should ship the device to one of their authorised service centers which is impossible, living in Turkey. I just need somewhere online to buy spare part for this phone.
Thanks.
My yota2 epd display started fading and over a period of 2 weeks slowly died. Even a factory reset didn't revive it. I asked yotadevices about it and they said the same thing, ship it to an authorized service center. I'm in the US (california) and the nearest service center was London, UK! Anyways, after some back and forth with the service center, I shipped my phone out to them, had it back in 2 weeks. They replaced the epd, no charge warranty repair and they even shipped it back out to me. My cost was just the shipping to them.
Sounds like your problem wouldn't be a warrenty repair, but the service center would be able to take care of it at cost.
