8125 to mda

Ok I've been on here for a few days now.. I have t-mobile service and bought the mda when it 1st came out, I did not like the keys and decided to go with the cingular 8125. Everything works great, but I'm having problems connecting to the web using my wap.voicestream.com. it worked for a few days and now it does not work. so my question is, ive heard all kinds of talks about roms and changing them and so forth, can i install all the tmobile mda settings to the cingular 8125 without losing the unlock on the 8125 and if so, how can i go about doing this. sorry if this is a repost, but any help would be great thanks.

Hey back at ya.
First download lokiwiz v2b. Don't use previous versions or you'll not get through this!!
Hard reset your device (not necessary, but it ensures you'll have no hassle with ActiveSync).
Done that? Good. Extract the lokiwiz v2b .zip folder and copy enablerapi.cab to your memory card or to 'My Documents' folder on your device. Then execute the 'enablerapi.cab'.
Done? Just switch off the device (power button; put it in standby mode).
If you have ActiveSync already installed, un-install it and re-install directly afterwards (ensure a brand new partnership).
Then when prompted by ActiveSync, plug in your USB cable PC-PPC and it should recognise as usual.
Then execute the lokiwiz.bat file (in the folder that was generated earlier when you extracted the lokiwiz02b.zip file) and when you see the MS Dos (black screen) choose the option CID Unlock (SuperCID) and wait for it to COMPLETELY finish. You'll know it's finished when your Wizard is re-booting. Plug out your USB cable at this stage.
Once re-booted and back into WM5, re-connect your cable and if all goes well it should re-connect to Active Sync (wait till it has finished syncing or says connected!).
Finally......double click the executable file, which should be:

Charmer no signal :( any info or help

Hi to all in this forum.
I have one T-Mobile MDA Compact II PM200. In this forum i hound that his name is Charmer. I try to unlock it with Lokiwiz03a. Program give me a code but device says that code is wrong. I try with other software to unlock it and after that mobile work with SIM card but no signal
I reflash mobiele with WM6 founded her in the forum, not it have English (before have German) but again no signal. I try now to unlock it with Lokiwiz02a and choose CID unlock. Again no signal.
When device in Automatic search mode no found network. If in Manual mode found but unable to register in network. When i put mobile to my computer speakers no outgoing signal from mobile that's not normal.
What is the problem ?
Can onyone help me with information ot needed software ?

I download Radio from ftp on this form for Prophet. And try with Prophet_G4_RadioRom_v2.47.11 but now mobile not start. Go to splash screen and after few seconds restart.
I try to put it in bootloader mode but ActiveSync can't make connection and for that flash software can't wreit new radio or flash into mobile.
I ry with:
1. dowenload this t-mobile official rom (http://www.tm-phonedownloads.com/files/RUU_Compact ll_2060227_20602110_021921_T-MobileUK_Ship.exe)
2. enter your Charmer into bootloader mode by pressing power + camera + reset, let go of the reset, but keep holding power + camera until the three colur screen will show up (that is bootloader mode).
3. connect the Charmer to your pc (make sure your battery is fully charged)
4. run the t-mobile rom.
5. good luck!
but ActiveSync can't make conection.

If you are in bootloader Active Sync wont make a connection. Just plug in the usb cable into your phone while in bootloader and run RUU.

phone not start normaly. just start and after 5sec restart. i put it in Bootloader mode (press Camera, Power_buton and Reset. then release Reset and after few sec. mobile goto in Bootloader mode). when conect USB cable ActiveSync not find mobile and this file not make upadte/conection: ROMUpdateUtility.exe and ROMUpdateUtility_G4.exe
if I try to start RUUGetInfo.exe windows says that this is not valid Win32 application.

I'm guessing that this universal radio upgrade is for universal
Download this:

Extract it, copy the .nbf of the rom you want to upgrade your device with to the extracted RUU folder. Once copied - run RUU.
P.S. The problem with your device is that you have upgraded wm6 on 1.xx bootloader. Thats why the system doesnt start. If the method I described above doesnt work. Post me.

after long time i try to play agian with this brick-PM200 that haven't signal.
last time (before more 2 years) i write ROM and after that PM200 not start, only in Bootloader mode (3 color lines).
today i revive it when flash this:

PM200 start, in begin fave full signal. after 30-40 seconds signal gone (but not test in/out call). i try to restart mobile, try hardreset, try manual search on operator - all no result.
on start i put near radio but power amplifier not work. i think that this is harware problem.
but not 100% sure.
is possible this problem to be from wrong radio settings ?
i try to write different radios for Prophet but every time get message "Invalid tool" and radio flashers stop.
i try with universal radio thata Vlodeck says but again this message.
what to do ?
before two days i repair one HTC Touch Elf100 and read that can sniff USB comunication to check Vendor ID and other ID.
but in my PM200 this not work. on Elf100 work easy like is writed here in forum.
when start wyty (or what's name is) make connections with mobile but after write:

says that need password. if try with password for Elf100 not accept it.
what is the password for Charmer (PM200) ?
or if there is other way to get Vendor ID and other ID how ?

I can help you maybe. You need to downgrade to Aku 2.2 using the original utulity. Then the Radio will be downgraded too. But nobody knows the exact way on how to do that. (Maybe Vlodeck knows that?) I'll try to get it this week and tell you then.
As for the password try CHARMER. I have never been able to test it with MTTY cause I don't get in the right mode but I think the olny possibility is CHARMER. Just try it with whatever tool you want.

OK you have the same problem I have. You have Cmd> in the window. To get the comands and the password working you need USB> instead of Cmd>. That is the same problem I have and I don't know how to fix it.

in moment i use MTTY 1.42
before 3-4 days i repayr one HTC Touch Elf100. and this MTTY work find. no problem that write CMD not USB.
terminal show CMD> i write commands and mobile answer w/o problem.
but in my Charmer not answer.
possible reason is access password. but not sure.

There are simple comands. And for them you don't need SuperCID. I tried them and they haven't worked too. So I think there is something else with it. Maybe the Bootloader locks all comands and you need a password for that too. But I don't know about that.

Well, we can't SuperCID and Security unlock a Charmer with a bootloader over 1.x at the moment. This is surely impossible. That won't work using a SD Card too. So I think you will not have any luck.

Where to start?

I have an HTC Innovation, Qtek 9100...also wizard i think, Os: 1.1.7.8
GSM 1.4.10, SPL 1.01, Ipl 1.01, The language is in french.
I want at least to change the language to english, but i want it also a little updated.
I don't know what g3, g4 means and how to find out what version i have.
Please tell me where to begin to upgrade the phone, here are to many post and are some terms i don't understand like g3, g4, ipl, spl.

I use tnt 1933 from here and have no problems with it ,i would use radio 2.19 as well,as people have issues with missed calls etc, a link for that is there too

What i have missed or what am i doing wrong?
so, i installed the rom from your unlock archive and it is ok, my wizard is in english now
i tried my simcard and it works so that results that my phone is not sim locked so i didn't use any of the sim unlock tools.
now i try to flash the tnt rom and gives me : error 295 and says something like imposible to use on your device and says to use some newer nfb file
...and what is the extended rom?
now i am reading: You MUST have an IPL and SPL at 2.xx or higher (BOTH not just one or the other).
so this means i can't install this rom if i have ipl spl 1.01?
reading a tutorial while updating this post!, so i red that i have to install a tmobile rom before i can install any rom? is this true?

Which rom did you install the button rom? or the o2 rom?
if it was the button rom did you follow these instructions
1 - Unzip lokiwiz.zip to a folder on your desktop
2 - Copy EnableRapi.cab to your Wizard
3 - Execute the EnableRapi.cab in your phone. Wait for it to finish
4 - Guarantee that your phone is connected via activesync with the computer
press the windows key + r and type cmd and press enter to get a dos window,that way when lokiwiz finishes you will still be able to read what it says
5 - Click on the black dos window that has opened and type cd desktop then type dir /ad and then a list of all the directorys on your desktop will be shown then change directory to the lokiwiz2b directory and Execute lokiwiz.bat (on your computer!)
Extended rom is what it says, a part of rom that is in an extended partition, basically it contains customisation programs and important files for installing into the wizard when it is hard reset.
when you say you tried your simcard ,was it the same provider e.g. o2 that you were using before? If it is the same that wont make a difference, try a sim from a provider that you dont have like t-mobile.
Anyway simunlock just allows you to use any sim, cid unlock allows you to load any ROM which is what you want to do.

Save me.......I mean my T-Mobile Wing

Hi, guys. I am really new here and I really need some help. Recently I purchased a t-mobile wing from eBay for $260 shipped. And the phone was "DOA" . I guess I suppose to return this phone back to the seller, but I saw this as a FIX IT YOURSELF PROJECT p. I know I will have fun "trying" to un-brick the phone. Since It is without any scratch, I knew even this brick phone can be sell for about $150. I don't mind put the $100 on the line for this little project of mine . I had read many threads (over 200) but none did the job. To me, this phone is a bit strange. Maybe it really BRICK. Anyway, let me describe the status here. I cannot turn on the phone by the power switch. I can get into boot loader and hard reset. If I do a hard reset, and press CALL, the phone will say something about formatting then reboot in about 5 seconds and the T-mobile screen will come out and the phone turn off and that is it. If I press any other keys, the T-mobile screen will come out and the phone turns off. If I got into boot loader, I can turn off the phone with the power switch. So, I know the power switch is working. While in boot loader, I can flash the phone with the 2 stock rom from t-mobile: 4.10.531.3 and 4.26.531.1. But any other rom I downloaded from this website will not work. I can flash these 2 stock roms vise versa. The boot loader will display: IPL 4.10.0002 / SPL 4.10.0000 and IPL 4.26.0002 / 4.26.0000. But either rom will not let me turn on the phone with the power switch. While I am using the flash tool (RUU) with the stock rom the "original image version" will display BLANK. However the whole flash process seems to be smooth. If I use the other roms, the process will stop at 3 percent and display error 270 update error, image file corrupted. I cannot use anything like herald-uspl.exe since active sync will not connect to my phone. It is always grey. However, in system hardware list, there is the POCKET PC USB SYNC. But with the stock ROM, I can flash even active sync is grey. I am just so lost here. Have I over look something basic? I am not sure . Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Step 1. Download Herald-USPL-Beta3.
Step 2. UnZIP the file into a folder on your Desktop. Let's call it "MyFirstROM" for simplicity's sake. Notice that there is a folder called RUU within this folder now. Keep that in mind.
Step 3. Download your NBH file and unZIP or unRAR it into that RUU folder. Make sure that that NBH file ends up in the RUU folder, not within a folder inside the RUU folder.
Step 4. Place your phone into flightmode.
Step 5. Go back to the MyFirstROM folder and then run USPL.exe
Step 6. Follow the directions on the screen. EXACTLY.
Your screen on your cell phone will go white around the 75% part of the "second step" now.
ActiveSync will LOOSE its connection.
Step 7. One step 3 on that black window, the RUU flasher will pop up. Just follow the steps.

I cannot use uspl because the active sync issue. It shows grey and the program will stay at 1/3......

no. put your into bootloader mode and connect it. Your pc should recognize it. Then use uspl.

The PC recognize it. it is in device manager. But ative sync did not find any device. However, I still launched uspl, but it will just stay at "step 1/3...." and that is it. So you think this is brick? Thanks for your time.

WHERE IS THE NBH FILE?????

Launch USPL and run it like that. It should work.
I know HardSPL supports flashing from bootloader. The RUU does the same thing. If you run it via activesync, it soft resets into bootloader.
And the nbh file is found in rom downloads

Tried HardSPL and USPL, both will not work, except stock ROM. But it will not power up with the power buttom.

Help needed

I just bought a used TMobile MDA. I was told that the phone was unlocked. When I tried to flash the phone it losses connection and I get the error ROM UPDATE UTILITY MFC APPLICATION failed. Can someone help me figure has what is causing this problem and how can I correct it so I can update the ROM on my phone.

Is your phone in Bootloaders or boots up into a working OS,if its working,download WST_4.2.2 tool and run the 'CIDAction' button to verify its CID lock/unlock status,then do accordingly.

When I tried to run the CID Action on my phone I got this:
Error! No device detected!
Try reading again; if it fails again then check cable
connection and be sure that ActiveSync's icon is

I made sure that the phone was connected and then I tried to make sure RAPI communication and Applications policy was enabled. I got the same connection failure error. I don't know what to do to correct this error.

Does the phone establish connection or activesync through usb ? if it does,than,there are two files in the installation folder of WST_4.2.2 in the 'files' folder 'EnableRapi' and 'Cert_SPCS' copy these both zipfolders anywhere in your phone and execute them in the phone,then run the WST Tool.

Yes, the phone does establish connection throught activesync. I did install both files, EnableRapi and Cert_SPCS, and excuted them the phone. WST still gave me the same error.

which windows are you using and what version is Activesync ?.
'MFC' (Microsoft Foundation Classes) failure is usually ,when certain application/program fails to initialize.
Do this all on winXP SP2 and use latest version of Activesync 4.5.Close/disable any Antivirus/Firewall running and try to end as many applications/programs running in the background through 'Windows Task Manager'.End Process 'WCESCOM' something running in the Task Manager.
