I have one T-Mobile MDA Compact II PM200. In this forum i hound that his name is Charmer. I try to unlock it with Lokiwiz03a. Program give me a code but device says that code is wrong. I try with other software to unlock it and after that mobile work with SIM card but no signal
I reflash mobiele with WM6 founded her in the forum, not it have English (before have German) but again no signal. I try now to unlock it with Lokiwiz02a and choose CID unlock. Again no signal.
When device in Automatic search mode no found network. If in Manual mode found but unable to register in network. When i put mobile to my computer speakers no outgoing signal from mobile that's not normal.
What is the problem ?
Can onyone help me with information ot needed software ?

I download Radio from ftp on this form for Prophet. And try with Prophet_G4_RadioRom_v2.47.11 but now mobile not start. Go to splash screen and after few seconds restart.
I try to put it in bootloader mode but ActiveSync can't make connection and for that flash software can't wreit new radio or flash into mobile.
I ry with:
1. dowenload this t-mobile official rom (http://www.tm-phonedownloads.com/files/RUU_Compact ll_2060227_20602110_021921_T-MobileUK_Ship.exe)
2. enter your Charmer into bootloader mode by pressing power + camera + reset, let go of the reset, but keep holding power + camera until the three colur screen will show up (that is bootloader mode).
3. connect the Charmer to your pc (make sure your battery is fully charged)
4. run the t-mobile rom.
5. good luck!
but ActiveSync can't make conection.

If you are in bootloader Active Sync wont make a connection. Just plug in the usb cable into your phone while in bootloader and run RUU.

phone not start normaly. just start and after 5sec restart. i put it in Bootloader mode (press Camera, Power_buton and Reset. then release Reset and after few sec. mobile goto in Bootloader mode). when conect USB cable ActiveSync not find mobile and this file not make upadte/conection: ROMUpdateUtility.exe and ROMUpdateUtility_G4.exe

I'm guessing that this universal radio upgrade is for universal

Extract it, copy the .nbf of the rom you want to upgrade your device with to the extracted RUU folder. Once copied - run RUU.
P.S. The problem with your device is that you have upgraded wm6 on 1.xx bootloader. Thats why the system doesnt start. If the method I described above doesnt work. Post me.

PM200 start, in begin fave full signal. after 30-40 seconds signal gone (but not test in/out call). i try to restart mobile, try hardreset, try manual search on operator - all no result.
on start i put near radio but power amplifier not work. i think that this is harware problem.
but not 100% sure.
is possible this problem to be from wrong radio settings ?
i try to write different radios for Prophet but every time get message "Invalid tool" and radio flashers stop.

before two days i repair one HTC Touch Elf100 and read that can sniff USB comunication to check Vendor ID and other ID.
but in my PM200 this not work. on Elf100 work easy like is writed here in forum.
when start wyty (or what's name is) make connections with mobile but after write:

I can help you maybe. You need to downgrade to Aku 2.2 using the original utulity. Then the Radio will be downgraded too. But nobody knows the exact way on how to do that. (Maybe Vlodeck knows that?) I'll try to get it this week and tell you then.
As for the password try CHARMER. I have never been able to test it with MTTY cause I don't get in the right mode but I think the olny possibility is CHARMER. Just try it with whatever tool you want.

OK you have the same problem I have. You have Cmd> in the window. To get the comands and the password working you need USB> instead of Cmd>. That is the same problem I have and I don't know how to fix it.
in moment i use MTTY 1.42
before 3-4 days i repayr one HTC Touch Elf100. and this MTTY work find. no problem that write CMD not USB.
terminal show CMD> i write commands and mobile answer w/o problem.
but in my Charmer not answer.
possible reason is access password. but not sure.
There are simple comands. And for them you don't need SuperCID. I tried them and they haven't worked too. So I think there is something else with it. Maybe the Bootloader locks all comands and you need a password for that too. But I don't know about that.

Well, we can't SuperCID and Security unlock a Charmer with a bootloader over 1.x at the moment. This is surely impossible. That won't work using a SD Card too. So I think you will not have any luck.

When the process began there was an error asking to press OK for restart.
After restarting device in the boot sequence ( when logo is diplayed) there are no informations about the ROM. Just Radion version is diplayed and that is the new version one (3.25)
Also on the display there is no start icon and I cannot use the display because it seems to be decalibrated completly.
Very Important : When I try to connect to Activesync after a while it telling me that the device is not a smartphone or a pocket PC and cannot be connected. So I cant use any program to try to upgrade again.
What to do ?
Please try to give examples and link to download files in order to fix my device.

Hi ...
If you still can get to the boot loader screen (power button + soft reset) and it displays "GSM OK", that means there is a good chance that the flash ROM is not damaged.
You can either put the ROM and RSU files on SD card through a card reader (.nbf files) or to get a valid SD backup for CE + Radio from any working XDA and use the boot loader screen to flash your device again.

It seems to be ok cause i can upload a new CE in SD format to the device. ROM was build in the kithcenROM from yorch.net.
It still not working cause perhaps I need the file containing Radio and CE as well in SD format.
Do you know where I can get it ?
I dont think I can get another device to read the files on the SD.

I 'm not sure which stage you are stuck with now ... if you can put CE image on SD card and flash it using the boot loader, that means you can boot your XDA and flash the RSU through a normal EXE file from yorch.net .... if this is not the case then you most propably have the wrong file format on the SD card.

present situation
I am at the edge of disperation.
Steps of what I did :
1. Back up Boot and CE to SD and save them to HDD.
2. Build a CE from Yorch.net in nb1 format and write it to SD with an adaptor.
3. Flash the device with that specific file ( was just CE , not including bootloader)
Now, my pocket is like that:
It cannot been powered from the power button
It start when plug in the charger
I cannot go in bootstrap mode ( when procedure for activating is made I just got a small red flash from the LED)
I have to mention that I choose from the yorch options :" lock butons except power when the device is turned off "
So, now I cannot use the SD for try another flash image.
I cannot use activesync because it cannot recognize the device. Somthing is wrong in the header of the authorising string or something like that.
When I plug the USB cable, activesync is starting but after 10 secs a pop up telling me that the device cannot be recognize, it is not a smartphone or pocket pc.

In the boot loader screen, try to press the calendar button ... it should give you the GSM menu. Select "Reset" or "Turn off" and do a soft reset
Plz do NOT try band switching or "Calib/debug"!
It sounds like a failed radio stack upgrade, you can try copying the RSUpgrade.sa.CAB file to your SD card then run it from there.
You can get the RSUpgrade.sa.CAB file by using WinZip to extract it from the RSUv1.15_(GPRS_T32500_ENG)[1].exe file.

First try to install the xda unlock exe file fm this site,and then open it fm your ppc.
If the attept fails,find and download the special rom or rom kitchen,to overwrite a new rom which provides the use of any network.
Finally I've discovered a tip,on sx56.When is asking for SID lock code not PIN,type the number zero eight times.

I just unlocked my TMO XDA 1 ... it was painful! Here's a lesson's learned checklist.
1. Get a SD card reader/writer. ~$20 @ CompUSA.
2. Get a 64M SD Card for Bootloader flashing your unit.
3. Build a 3.17.03.exe ROM image at Yorch kitchen.
4. Backup current CE+boot to your 64M SD card. Enter Bootloader, wait for a "GSM OK" message to appear, press contact button next to speaker. Scroll down to Boot+CE->SD, select. This will copy current ROM to SD card.
5. Take this sd card, put in sd card reader/writer and using OSImageTool.exe (part of XDAtools), copy card to pc folder called CurrentROM or similar.
4. Remove sim & sd card from unit.
5. Put in cradle & connect to pc. Using a guest partnership is okay.
6. Run the 3.17.03.exe file. Mine failed. Couldn't read device config. Said to check USB/serial cable connection.
7. Went back to Yorch kitch, created 3.17.03.nb1 file, downloaded it, copied to SD card via sd card reader/writer & OSImageTool.
8. Insert this sd card into your unit, enter Bootloader & it will ask if you want to load this O/S, do so. This worked for me. Do a hard reset after successfully completion and when it comes up, it states unit is sim locked, do you want to change this, tap Yes. I copied XDAunlock.exe to unit, via A/S to confirm unit was really unlocked. XDAunlock confirmed unit was unlocked.
9. Problem, flashing to 3.17.03 put phone model to PW10A1, mine is PW10B1. Any .exe ROM upgrade software will not work. They "see" a model A and they're configured to install software for a model B ... at least in the USA.
10. To get around this, I put a ROM4.00.21.nb1 on the SD card via sd writer, upgraded unit's ROM via Bootloader. This was successful and model was put to PW10B1.
11. Then I ran my ROM4.01.00.exe which completely finished installing the RSU & ROM on my unit. The advanced copy of TMO's ROM4.01.00, RS6.24.01 is combined into an .exe. I'm sure .nb1 and .nbf exist.
I'm running an unlocked TMO XDA 1 and just packaged it for selling. Good luck.

Your ROM version is too old: if you install the XDA-developers Special Edition ROM it will provide you with some new features, and resolve your SIMlock problem as well.
Note that this will involve cold-booting your device, so backup all your information first.
how i update to rom because i have only usb cable which comes in box

you don't need a serial cable to flash your xda. just got to the kitchen at www.yorch.net. cook a ROM based on 3.17 and select the exe method. down load the file to ur PC and connect the xda to the cradle and make sure it's connected to power. run the exe file and follow the instructions.

I want to use my phone in Vodafone in Spain. So I need to unlock.
I have the unlock tool from XDA but it says 'error getting unlock code'
this is due because it is incompatible with the version of ROM/Software I have on my PDA.
Now, I have a small problem. I dont have the USB cables, (I want t buy them but I cant find them ANYWHERE...if any of you know...that would be of MAJOR help.)

i tried my simcard and it works so that results that my phone is not sim locked so i didn't use any of the sim unlock tools.

Which rom did you install the button rom? or the o2 rom?
if it was the button rom did you follow these instructions
1 - Unzip lokiwiz.zip to a folder on your desktop
2 - Copy EnableRapi.cab to your Wizard
3 - Execute the EnableRapi.cab in your phone. Wait for it to finish
4 - Guarantee that your phone is connected via activesync with the computer
press the windows key + r and type cmd and press enter to get a dos window,that way when lokiwiz finishes you will still be able to read what it says
5 - Click on the black dos window that has opened and type cd desktop then type dir /ad and then a list of all the directorys on your desktop will be shown then change directory to the lokiwiz2b directory and Execute lokiwiz.bat (on your computer!)
Extended rom is what it says, a part of rom that is in an extended partition, basically it contains customisation programs and important files for installing into the wizard when it is hard reset.
when you say you tried your simcard ,was it the same provider e.g. o2 that you were using before? If it is the same that wont make a difference, try a sim from a provider that you dont have like t-mobile.
Anyway simunlock just allows you to use any sim, cid unlock allows you to load any ROM which is what you want to do.

I've download the Windows Mobile 6 RUU on the HTC official site but it's impossible to do the rest because ActiveSync is not connected with my phone. How can i resolve my problem without ActiveSync?

Have you placed the phone into bootloader mode before using the RUU? (Holding the camera down and pressiing the soft reset button?)
Activesyn won't recognize the phone if connected during bootloader ... but if the phone says "USB" on the bottom left, you can run the RUU and it will work.
My device display "USB" in bootloader mode when i connect it to my PC.
But the problem is that the pc can't detect a new device connected...
When i try to flash by the SD card my herald can't detect the card!
I'm affraid! Please HELP ME!!!

i tried to flash my blueangel to Windows Mobile 6 Build 20758, following the instructions in the wiki.
Now i have a problem with flashing the device. I downloaded the rom from the wiki-page (Version 3.02 without ramdisk) and extracted it to the directory where MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe (version 1.32) is. MDA III is cradled and in Boot Loader Mode (USB displayed). But the device couldnt be recognized ( screenshot and i cant do the upgrade.
i carefully followed the instructions from the wiki.
What i am doing wrong ?

as long i upgrade or reflash any type of BA ROM (wm5,wm6,wm6.1) it did not show my current device version, usually when you through this option there is nothing wrong just klick upgrade and your device will flash.
So far i know, u dunt have required HTC RUU files. The 20758 package has only nk.nbf file and no RUU
go to buzzdev downloads on buzzdev.net(u need a username for that) download the wm2005 upgrade from there. Extract it. then replace the nk.nbf with the wm6.1.20758 one. just run BAUpgradeUT.exe and u will go fine
remember to put your phone to bootloader mode by press [record]+[on/off] then reset.
if the error says: connection error. Take out the Mem Card and I recommend you should take out the sim card too. Also ensure that your battery is charged more than 50%
