Magician: turn on only in bootloader, can't be flashed

Please, help me in the following situation
I bought Qtek s100 It turns on only in bootloader mode. What was before I don't know.
Now I try to reflash it via PC. I unpacked rom 1.12 from imate and put there file MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe and then ran it. The utility can't see the device information (it is normal) but it can't see the informatin about the rom I'd like to flash. I click @[email protected] but it says it gather information about the device and nothing happened.
I tried to run again about 20 times, but nothing helped.
I tried to flash it via card using rom-image but there is no invitation to reflash though I flashed via card more than 20 times other htc devices and then everything was ok.
I ran mtty 1.42 and gave command d2s, but it said unknown command. Then I gave d2s command then the device turned off.
I have qtek s110 with broken display. Is it possible to change rom-memory?
Is it possible to get service_manual for magician?

First of all, did you back up your current ROM to SD before Flashing new ROM.
1. Yes. It's VERY GOOD. Disconnect your device from PC. You need to insert SD with your ROM to the device and Turn On. Press Power or Cancel button (i didn't realy remeber try all). After that device will flash ROM form SD.
2. No. It's VERY BAD. You need to know start address form what device should start after Reset. Sory here i did not know what it is.

thanks, but te problem is the device doesn't want to work with card. No reaction on the card with rom-image, turning off when typing d2s

Don't know where you bought & how much you paid for it (sure hope it's less then a new screen), but sir I guess you're scr*w*d.
Maybe you can replace your broken S110 screen with the one from the S100. There's a rar file on the board, with a detailed description & pictures on howto disassemble your magician, think it's called disassembly.rar.

thanks, but I think the screen is alive, it shows usb or serial and etc.
As far as i know, there is some diagnostic tests to understand where is the problem. how to activate it?

Sorry I don't know of a diagnostics test. But you can have a bootloader without a working rom. Since you bought the S100 in a bootloader state, that's very suspicious to me. & that's why I advised you to replace the broken screen on your S110 with the one from your S100.
Hope you can sort it out & if you happen to run across a diag. pls update the wiki with it.

Charmer no signal :( any info or help

Hi to all in this forum.
I have one T-Mobile MDA Compact II PM200. In this forum i hound that his name is Charmer. I try to unlock it with Lokiwiz03a. Program give me a code but device says that code is wrong. I try with other software to unlock it and after that mobile work with SIM card but no signal
I reflash mobiele with WM6 founded her in the forum, not it have English (before have German) but again no signal. I try now to unlock it with Lokiwiz02a and choose CID unlock. Again no signal.
When device in Automatic search mode no found network. If in Manual mode found but unable to register in network. When i put mobile to my computer speakers no outgoing signal from mobile that's not normal.
What is the problem ?
Can onyone help me with information ot needed software ?

if not then what files I need to try with other radio version ?

I download Radio from ftp on this form for Prophet. And try with Prophet_G4_RadioRom_v2.47.11 but now mobile not start. Go to splash screen and after few seconds restart.
I try to put it in bootloader mode but ActiveSync can't make connection and for that flash software can't wreit new radio or flash into mobile.
I ry with:
1. dowenload this t-mobile official rom (http://www.tm-phonedownloads.com/files/RUU_Compact ll_2060227_20602110_021921_T-MobileUK_Ship.exe)
2. enter your Charmer into bootloader mode by pressing power + camera + reset, let go of the reset, but keep holding power + camera until the three colur screen will show up (that is bootloader mode).
3. connect the Charmer to your pc (make sure your battery is fully charged)
4. run the t-mobile rom.
5. good luck!
but ActiveSync can't make conection.

If you are in bootloader Active Sync wont make a connection. Just plug in the usb cable into your phone while in bootloader and run RUU.

phone not start normaly. just start and after 5sec restart. i put it in Bootloader mode (press Camera, Power_buton and Reset. then release Reset and after few sec. mobile goto in Bootloader mode). when conect USB cable ActiveSync not find mobile and this file not make upadte/conection: ROMUpdateUtility.exe and ROMUpdateUtility_G4.exe
if I try to start RUUGetInfo.exe windows says that this is not valid Win32 application.
then what RUU to start ?

I'm guessing that this universal radio upgrade is for universal
Download this:

Extract it, copy the .nbf of the rom you want to upgrade your device with to the extracted RUU folder. Once copied - run RUU.
P.S. The problem with your device is that you have upgraded wm6 on 1.xx bootloader. Thats why the system doesnt start. If the method I described above doesnt work. Post me.

i did it but got this error while i upgrade my rom to newest rom 3.3...

after long time i try to play agian with this brick-PM200 that haven't signal.
last time (before more 2 years) i write ROM and after that PM200 not start, only in Bootloader mode (3 color lines).
today i revive it when flash this:

PM200 start, in begin fave full signal. after 30-40 seconds signal gone (but not test in/out call). i try to restart mobile, try hardreset, try manual search on operator - all no result.
on start i put near radio but power amplifier not work. i think that this is harware problem.
but not 100% sure.
is possible this problem to be from wrong radio settings ?
i try to write different radios for Prophet but every time get message "Invalid tool" and radio flashers stop.
i try with universal radio thata Vlodeck says but again this message.
what to do ?
before two days i repair one HTC Touch Elf100 and read that can sniff USB comunication to check Vendor ID and other ID.
but in my PM200 this not work. on Elf100 work easy like is writed here in forum.
when start wyty (or what's name is) make connections with mobile but after write:

says that need password. if try with password for Elf100 not accept it.
what is the password for Charmer (PM200) ?
or if there is other way to get Vendor ID and other ID how ?

I can help you maybe. You need to downgrade to Aku 2.2 using the original utulity. Then the Radio will be downgraded too. But nobody knows the exact way on how to do that. (Maybe Vlodeck knows that?) I'll try to get it this week and tell you then.
As for the password try CHARMER. I have never been able to test it with MTTY cause I don't get in the right mode but I think the olny possibility is CHARMER. Just try it with whatever tool you want.

OK you have the same problem I have. You have Cmd> in the window. To get the comands and the password working you need USB> instead of Cmd>. That is the same problem I have and I don't know how to fix it.

in moment i use MTTY 1.42
before 3-4 days i repayr one HTC Touch Elf100. and this MTTY work find. no problem that write CMD not USB.
terminal show CMD> i write commands and mobile answer w/o problem.
but in my Charmer not answer.
possible reason is access password. but not sure.

There are simple comands. And for them you don't need SuperCID. I tried them and they haven't worked too. So I think there is something else with it. Maybe the Bootloader locks all comands and you need a password for that too. But I don't know about that.

Well, we can't SuperCID and Security unlock a Charmer with a bootloader over 1.x at the moment. This is surely impossible. That won't work using a SD Card too. So I think you will not have any luck.

S200 dead, ROM Update failed

i have a QTEK S200. Today i tried to update my ppc with a WM6 version, but after 40min. the upgrade program crashed down.
After this it was impossible to enter in the main menu of the ppc. the ppc remains hanging on the QTEK screen. I've tried to enter in the bootloader with the color screen, to connect the ppc with my usb cable an the notebook, but my notebook does'nt find my ppc. And now the battery is empty (even connected with the usb cable on a working pc) and i can't switch on my ppc.
Any solutions?

done. but the screen remains on the QTEK start page. Bootloader is possible and i get the 3-color screen but my notebook does'nt find my ppc... It's strange because yesterday everything was fine and the connection to my notebook was ok but in the 3-color screen i can't build a usb connection.

ok, problem solved. i've puted a new core on the ppc and now appears the old wm5.

how did you manage to get back to the old rom ? i am stuck on the qtek screnn and the only thing i can access is the USB flash 3 colors screen but my pc doesn't seem to the device...

finaly I manage to dowgrade it by changing my driver - the problem was coming from vista

important is to know, that the 3-color screen give the possibility to communicate with your computer (connected with usb).
so, you have the possibility to copy a new core on it. after that you put a new wm or you take the old one. in my case, the old wm5 was still on the ppc.
yesterday i was testing the wm6 in german but it was not really nice... so i work again with wm5 and wait till a complete wm6 solution is available.

Should like to Flash ROM, but ERROR 260

I've got a problem. I want to flash my ROM to WM6.5.
I connectet my Phone with Vista over USB-Port.
The ROMUpdateUtility.exe start the GUI.The phone disconnect from Vista and the Install GUI shows me after few seconds the ERROR 260, that my Phone ist not connectet.
On my Phone I see the three coulored Monitor. On the left lower site is written "USB".
I tried to hold the connection with Vista ( i startet the Camera or other Applikation ) but the same problem.
Whenever i start the ROMUpdateUtility.exe the same. Disconnect and never connect again.
What can i do, that my phone stay connectet with Vista, so the Install GUI can make his work?

we tried with and without microSD card and or sim card.
The real problem is the connection which is interrupted and doesn't rebuild.
Independent of trying to flash the WM6.5 or USPL.

Silly question, but you never know..Do you have Windows Mobile Device Center installed in your PC and is your device connected to it? It is the "Activesync for Vista". The three coloured screen is normal, it is called Boatloader. After that you should have a progress bar of what you are updating (rom,radio..uspl..etc) on both PC and Artemis. In my case, when i got error [260] it's always because I forget to remove the SD card. I know you already tried this but keep it away from device when you flash.Your problem is maybe about Vista Drivers for Artemis, there are threads concerning it. Before you investigate further,try to install/reinstall Windows Mobile Device Center, change USB port and flash with a freshly booted PC. Hope you'll get the magic.
P.S. USPL flash is ABSOLUTELY THE FIRST THING TO DO!

Old P3300

Hi everybody,
I have searched the forum for a way to fix my old P3300, but I can't find.
I have this P3300 that was bought unlocked a long time ago.
One morning it was dead.
Now I can get to the bootloader screen (red, blue, green and white) with the following information:
IPL 3.13.0001
SPL 3.13.0000
I have USB link on the bottom and it is recognized by Windows XP.
When I try to run HTC_P3300_WWE_3.13.405.1_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship_R.exe it detects the phone says that will upgrade from <blank> to 3.13.405.1. It starts but fails between 2 and 3% with error (228) invalid file size.
Am I doing something wrong or not and it's time to get a new phone?

try update with sdcard,be work sure, copy nbh file from your rom into the sd card formated with fat32,rename ruu_sihned.nbh with ARTEIMG.nbh,put the card into the phone and wen open it pres down volume key

or,Remove the SD card from the phone,close activesync conection,run mtty and tipe "wdata" command,after this you can run your update utility
