I've been reading for days now this forum and pdaphonehome.com's apache forum looking for information on PAN with this amazing phone. I've found no references. I really need to connect my 6700 with my 2215 via bluetooth for tcp/ip access. Is there a way to do this? If there is a definitive source, answer, hack for this, please point me in the right direction...
wow, posted that a long time ago. Its clear that it is not currently possible to replace the M$ stack. I just want to close this thread so that it doesn't confuse any newcomers.

Surfing the web, I noticed that Widcomm just launched a new BT development kit for the PPC/Phone Edition (That's the one we have!).
You can find information here:
http://www.widcomm.com/Products/bluetooth_comm_software_btce.asp
This is what they got to say about it:
NEW!
BT-PPC/Phone Edition leverages current BTW-CE/PPC features and includes the following profiles (GAP, SDP, SPP, GOEP, OPP, FTP, SYNC, DUN, HSP, HFP & PAN).
Key features of this product:
Addition of WAN connectivity features
Implement cellular connectivity
Manage audio traffic routing to headset
Display radio signal strength (RSSI) on screen
Implement power management scheme (enable WAN connectivity while PPC is off/sleep)
Initial release OMAP platform
I am extremely interested to know if anyone knows where to find an installable app for our XDA's. The fact that they say that an initial release is only for the OMAP platform makes me optimistic, because I think this is part of the XDA architecture. Can someone confirm this?
Best regards,
Bastian
Correction
I've just found out that the XDA is based on OMAP (Texas Instruments), but that the XDA2 is based on XSCALE (Intel).
So, we may be out of luck..........................
Anyone??
I'm giving it another shot to put it on top of the list, because I'd be really interested to know this.
-Bastian
being that it's a development kit i would put in in hacking it forum since there are more developers who read it plus fewer people post there so your post will not be out of the main theadlist that fasten and forgotten
Thanks
Thanks for your tip. I'll put it there also.

Bastian look this, is interesting (it is in spanish)

Yep, I knew that trick already, but obviously it would be more elegant if we all had one standard BT solution from Widcomm which works 100%. This is a ripped version from the IPAQ, and not something taylor made for the PPC-PE, which is what Widcomm just announced.

OK, so I have spent the better part of the last week banging my head against my desk trying to get this to work. I have tried every registry hack I can find on the 'net trying to get my bluetooth headset to work with Voice Command on my Siemens SX66 and I've gotten exactly nowhere. I actually have a second PPC Phone running WM2003 ( not the Second Edition) and the hacks to the registry work fantastic over it. So, this is not supposed to be possible in the SE version, however these forums are chock full of help for issues that were made possible by the good people here putting a little ingenuity into their software, so "impossible" is not necessarily a word in my vocabulary.
Any ideas, thoughts, feelings at all as to how this might be possible?
Greetings.
This is my first post to this forum section. I'm more of a Windows/web developer who's just beginning to get his feet wet with WM development - I've written a process manager and a "kill task" command line tool so far.
I own a 8125 (Wizard), and I've had a blast customizing it. I'm currently running the latest release of TNT's WM6 ROM and quite content. However, I do have one issue that I have not been able to resolve.
When using a Bluetooth headset, most audio is redirected to the headset as expected. However, when I invoke a call via VoiceCommand, the dialer still outputs the dial tones to the internal speaker. This can be annoying when in a crowd.
Has anyone come across this issue? Does anyone have a solution? I've considered trying one of the dialers posted under the HTC thread, but I thought it might be wise to consult with experienced devs.
Thanks much,
W James
P.S. I originally posted this question under the Wizard WM6 section. Unfortunately, no one was able to offer a solution. Sorry about the cross posting. Hopefully someone can provide some suggestions here.
Hi guys, is it possible to have bluetooth stereo on my wizard. Is there maybe a particular rom i must load.
Can any1 help me with this.
Doesnt anybody have any information on this topic.
Dude. Patience.
This site is analogous to a bulletin board, not to a chat room. Sometimes, it takes days before someone with the right answer to your question reads your post. Sometimes, it never happens....and you will almost always find answers if you run a search. You certainly aren't the first person to try upgrading the bluetooth on a Wizard.
To answer you, Yes. There are several options available, ranging from difficult (manual editing of your registry) to easy (load a .cab file or two) to way overdoing it (loading an entire ROM just to get BT stereo) with varying degrees of popularity and success throughout the user population.
I have heard this works on some Wizards:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=263745
When I was using WM5 only, I used this successfully:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=931212&postcount=1
If you're in love with the idea of flashing an entire ROM for more reasons than just stereo bluetooth, do some reading first, and make sure the ROM you want has "A2DP" capabilities, or you'll be right back here looking at my suggestions again.
Welcome to XDA, and please don't forget to search before asking questions. You'll often save yourself a lot of time and frustration.

BLuetooth stereo is built into the Wizard, with the standard ROM, at least on my T-Mobile (USA) MDA
You just need a BT stereo headset.
Thanks Myrddin Wyllt for the welcome.
Sorry about my impatience i would just like to say what a gr8 forum and you guys are doing amazing work. Been spending hours reading all the post and I hate reading so this is definitely good stuff.
Thanks
Is it possible to connect two BT devices at the same time to BA 6.5? E.g. BT headset and external GPS?
Because I want to hear the direction thru my BT headset, and every time I connect the headset, the GPS connection fails.

ou seem to be new to the forums. Thank you for joining XDA-Developers.
Please take a minute to go over the Rules and Regulations of the forum.
Also, it seems that you are a Blue Angel owner, in which case I will encourage you to go over the BA forum regulations here
For questions, please use the search function in the site or simply Google for an answer. More than likely, your question has probably been answered before and the answer is floating around somewhere in the site. That being said, unless you are contributing to the site with either skins, roms, ports, new applications, programs, games, etc., please do not open new threads. However, if you do have questions, you can post them either in the BA Q&A section or in the General Q&A section.
Thanks.

Sorry egzthunder - but I did all this for some time now.
None of my searches found a working solution for this problem.
And this forum is the only one related to BA only (and not all those "NEW" devices )
I do think that I should "rephrase" my Q:
After connecting my GPS ant to my device, and opening IGO8 software, everything works OK. The moment I press "ON" my BT headset (Jabra BT5010) the GPS connection drops dead.
I tried all the "solutions" mentioned around, none worked.
Also- they all refer to WM5 and 6, NOT WM6.5
Your thread is nice, but with no answer in it...
Thanks
Ramicu
In BA Bluetooth 1.1. For multi-connections needs Bluetooth 2.0. :-(
It`s unreal.

This is not the problem, as I connected two devices with my old IPAQ 6340 and he had BT 1.1 also.
i think it's something with the 6.5 "CR_K_D" rom or RADIO
(I'm using radio1.15.00 and rom 21139)
No, BT1.1. not working with two devices in the same time !
BT 1.1 is working flawlessly...

Sorry , but you are wrong.
I have done a simple test:
I took a brand new SX66 with WM2003, radio1.02 , and installed nevigation software on it. Next- I connected the GPS AND my BT Jabra headset to the sx66- both worked great, and I was able to hear the nevi directions thru the headset...
Same thing with my (VERY OLD) Ipaq machine...
So the problam is with x-plode rom. not the hardware... :-(
Maybe you right, if uses two different profiles will (must) be work.
But if uses one profile -no , ex. GPS and DUN (over COM)
