Removing apps - oops - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

I added an which I immediately hated, so i removed it. Or rather I half removed it. A msg cam up saying it wasn't succesful and did I want to remove the app from the list. I stupidly said yes. So now I have icons in my Programs screen and other places. Any idea how I get rid of them ? (I've deleted the program files that were left behind).
Ooops, DM.

Can't remove parts of Skype

I installed skype but it caused the qtek 9100 to crash randomly and very often. I removed the software, but now almost everytime i come from standby mode i have a notification box that it could not run programs/skype.exe
This is really annoying as I already removed the prog, and I have no clue what is trying to run skype on the phone. How can I check this / remove this?
Thanks.
i´ve the same problem

check notifications
I had the same problem. Using the software "check notifications" I removed skype.exe and the problem is solved.
The software also increases the performence by removing multiple running processes.

The last program from the list
These arent my words, ive just copied and pasted from another pocket pc forum. Maybe it'll help.
Problems like this come from invalid entries in the DB_notify_events WinCE database. You can correct this by hand (if reinstalling & uninstalling Skype doesn't cure it):
1, get Pocket dbExplorer from http://www.phatware.com/hpcdbex.html
2, install and run
3, go to DB_notify_events
4, go to the last entry of the list on the lower half of the screen - the 2nd "TEXT" entry. You'll see the EXE name in the upper half of the screen.
5, press the right arrow until you see a link to Skype.exe.
6, press AT THIS RECORD the Delete button.
Hm, I don't find the DB_notify_events. I wonder if you have to buy the product in order to be able to do this.
I still haven't solved this problem
Is this what one can expect when Microsoft hits the mobile? ...just waiting for the viruses and BSODs to hit.

This worked perfectly for me too, many thanks.
How does getting rid of Skype from Notifications help
Not knocking it, but how does getting rid of Skype from the list of notifications help ?
Not knocking it because it seems to have worked!!
Update: I still got a Skype erro after doing the remove, but since doing a Clear in Check Notify it hasn't re-occurred. Fingers crossed.

WeFi
Just a word of warning here, WeFi is a pain in the @ss to remove, and causes problems. There is a thread worth reading which I have commented on before, and after sufferring problems with my original HTC Elf (Touch) after using WeFi, I WILL NEVER touch this sofware again!!

removing wefi in windows mobile
hello, guys, about 15 minutes ago i figuered out how to remove wefi from your phone without damaging your wifi service. First make sure that your contacts are on your sim card. and your music on your storage card. Go to file explorer/ device management/ and click on clear storage. input 1234 and click yes. the phone will then turn off and on again. when this happens, the phone removes wefi's unability to unremove. if you know what i mean. then go to program files and on the folder wefi, click delete it will keep telling you if you want to remove, and click yes. it will delete!!!!! i just did it if you have any questions email me at [email protected] thank you bye

[Q] Remove MSN Money & MSN Weather from Dash3G

Hey guys,
Need your expertise; Is there a way to remove MSN weather or MSN Money from my -Mobile Dash3G?
I want to keep the original T-Mobile flash but those 2 apps are just taking space for nothing.
Thank you in advance!
Hook up your phone with ActiveSync and go into file explorer. Open up the windows folder, then start menu. You can delete stuff from start screen there.

Those 2 apps dont show up on "Add or Remove Programs". T-Mobile disable that from uninstalling but I was hoping there's a trick to uninstalling them.

If I do that, won't that corrupt files on the phone since Im really not uninstalling them?
I dont think so because it's like you're deleting shortcuts off that menu. So I don't know how to completely remove those programs. Then again how can you completely remove any program anyway.

I have found the solution to the various posts listed on not being able to get rid of an uninstalled prog in the remove progs window. Using MemMaid 2.3 go jump to/databases/database usage, highlight SwMgmtMetadataStore and click browse, highlight offending entry and delete it. Then do and soft reset and you will find that the prog is no longer in the remove prog window. Hope this helps.

[Q] Favorites Tab Shows Wrong Website Preview

So basically I had added a favorite to the sense tab and clicked on it while using free WiFi at McDonald's so the page it shows is the page where you accept the terms of service for the free WiFi. I have searched for it, but if I somehow did miss the answer I apologize in advance. I have tried removing the favorite from the tab & removing the favorite all together & then re-adding it and it still shows the wrong preview. I am guessing that there is a directory somewhere that I would be able to just delete the preview data. TIA for any help!!!
Bump I would love to know too.

That's a weird one. Did you try deleting it, then doing a soft reset, then adding it?
Have you looked in the Windows\Temporary Internet Files folder? Or maybe it's the Temp folder? See if the images for the shortcuts are cached in one of those folders. If so, you can just delete them and that should take care of it.
all the thumbnails are located in:
/Windows/Thumbnail
simply find the one you have and replace it with one you want or delete it. (the names are very long and make no sense, but in the end are simply .pngs.)
for a tut on this see:

Ok so I found & deleted the 1 that was giving me problems, but now it won't generate the new preview! I have tried a soft reset with no results. Is there a way to force it to create the new one? Thank again!

I upgraded to Oprea 10 I think it is beta and I don't have this problem anymore, it seems to update the thumbnails often.

I restarted my phone, and my TouchWiz folders are empty now.
I have the Sprint Note 4.
Solution
Hey guys,
some of you had problems with the folders in the app drawer right?
WHat you need to do is :
you make a Folder and leave it empty in the app drawer.
After that go in the app drawer, and than choose the option menu , at the right top . In the menu choose Edit , after that choose the folder and than click on the + to add your apps.
This will really help you guys.
Let me know if it helps

Tried that but after some restarts apps disappear again however the home screen shortcut folders always seem to retain the apps so I've got into the habit of adding additional apps via the home screen shortcut folders.

Yes same problem for me
I have the same issue.
The only ones that stay in the folder are the ones I placed during the time i created the folder.
Same issue
I've got the same issue too, after a reboot some (not all) apps are moved out of their app drawer folder and placed in the app drawer without a folder. They are the same apps doing it; some Samsung, some not, but I'd say about 80% of them are NOT doing it. I haven't tried the above solution yet, but will give it a whirl later on.
Apps don't stay in folders.

Solution: Do not use the plus sign inside the folders, or the apps will fall out of the folders when you reboot. Instead, press “Edit,” and drag and drop the apps into the folders. This will keep the apps inside the folders. Honest. It worked for me.
