Hi team
Is there any chance of developing the software to allow an XDA11i , alpine or what ever you call it to talk directly via Blue tooth to a modem plugged into a standard BT wall socket ( and thus avoiding the massive cost of web browsing via the phone , at present at £2.35 per meg !!!) . I was told this was due to a piece of the bluetooth stack being left out ??? .
What say you guys ?

I had a damm similar problem as i could not sync the device via bluetooth.
I have an XDA2 and upgraded my rom to the o2 release from last week. I was hoping that all the serial profile issues would have been resolved in respect to bluetooth gps, but it just made things worse as there are no obvious setting in which i can assign a serial profile to a particular port or even get activesync to work no matter what.
So finally I gave in and downloaded the Bluetooth Tools by Towas again and installed them. Straight away my xda2 was bonding with my gps again and when u add ur pc as a new device (new bonding), under the bluetooth tools u simply select activesync. then u can straight away sync initiated by the xda2 and once a connection is established, u get automatically internet access.
another issue was that my bluetooth software on the pc created too many 'dummy' serial com ports for bluetooth which didnt actually work, so i ended up removing them all under the device manager (windows system- hardware) and then setting up a new bluetooth serial port on my pc (make sure u set up just one).
get the bluetooth tools from:

Yeh, 15 serial ports my bluetooth dongle software set up on my pc, whats all that about, greedy or what?
15  !! Haha..
I only have 1 I think

Hi, I've planned to by the new XDAII i (in Belgium the Qtek 2020).
Does anybody can tell me if it is OK with a bluetooth car Kit? With the XDAII normal, I have a lot a Bleutooth problems that I hadn't with the Mini.
Thanks for your answers.
I've had no issues with the BT on XDA2i, other than my old headset wouldn't work with it - something i've now discovered was probably more to do with the headset than the phone.
All other aspects of BT work a dream.
Cheers
Ant
PS - XDA2i uses a Widcomm (now Broadcom) BT stack, not the MS one as used on the 2.
Still can't get my XDaIIi to send files via BT to my laptop! I tried it with my old XDA 2 and it works a treat........
Someone please help, i don't know how many times i've posted this topic
Hi,
I've a SE K610i and a magician.
As I am using my K610i for 3G service, I was trying to pair it with my magician. Apparently, i can paired both of the device. However, when I'm trying to initiate the dialing from my magician, it doesn't seems to connect to the phone to dial it. Basically I would like to use my PDA to surf with 3G speed (pairing with the mobile phone) and make normal calls with my magician. Would that be possible?
Is there any guide on how to do it? and also, is it because the standard magician bluetooth software does not support it?
Thanks & Regards,
i also have the similar problem when i want to connect my o2 mini to my K810i for internet connection. My O2 mini does not connect to the mobile phone via bluetooth. Connect by Infrared is working fine. Transferring files via bluetooth is working fine too.
My setting did not have any problem because it working fine with my treo 750.
Anyone can help me?
Are there really nobody in o2 mini anymore? OK, for the one that still with the mini. I have found the problem. When pairing O2mini bluetooth with any other phone which you want it to act as a data modem, just click 'NO' when u being ask 'will you want to add a serial port". You should able to dail after this.
If you replace the microsoft bluetooth stack with the Blue Soleil one (available on these forums) you get a hell of a lot more functionality with the bluetooth, it also adds the PAN facility. I have successfully connected my magician to my K800i and my C905 and both will suft the net perfectly well. You can do the same with the broadcom bluetooth stack on your home pc.
Hi All,
I just got a new Hermes (Qtek 9600/ SFR 1605 here in France) and I found a big problem: the handset is plugged to the small USB jack and the power adaptor is also plugged on the same connector. (I didn’t look for that before because I have a S200 which have a 2.5mm jack for the handset).
So, I use Tomtom V6 and if I don’t plug the device on an external power adaptor, the battery has a lifetime of about 3 hours.
I need the handset because, here it is forbidden to phone when driving and I have a very noisy car which doesn’t permit the use of speakers.
I tried a Bluetooth handset, but it is seen as a hands free unit and if the phone sound is right with this unit, the Tomtom sound continue to go to the phone speaker.
I asked Qtek but I didn’t have any answer, I asked SFR but they told me “it was not their problem”.
Does someone have a solution or an idea to bypass this trouble ? (For me it is a design fault).
Thank you very much.
Hi all,
I'm having a problem with my Wizard that can't connect with my Deluo
Bluetooth GPS.
I already deleted and started again the connection considering the passphrase.
The GPS appears @ Smartphone's device list, but they keep connected just for a few secondes and then they lost the connection.
Even with the navigation software, the connection doesn't work.
What's happening ?
I'm using Hornet Manilla 4.5 Rom.
Tks in advance.

Cássio
Hello everybody,
I forgot one info regarding my Smartphone and the bluetooth connection:
I have a Jabra hearphone and it works very well bluetooth connected.
So it means that Wizard bluetooth connection works and I believe that it indicates that GPS bluetooth connection doesn't works properly.
Is it possible a bluetooth protocol problem ?
Is there any other source to be contacted in order to solve my problem ?
I live in Brazil and I could'nt fins Deluo web site. Does it still exist in US ?
Tks in advance.
