Bluetooth with XDAII i - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

Hi, I've planned to by the new XDAII i (in Belgium the Qtek 2020).
Does anybody can tell me if it is OK with a bluetooth car Kit? With the XDAII normal, I have a lot a Bleutooth problems that I hadn't with the Mini.
Thanks for your answers.

I've had no issues with the BT on XDA2i, other than my old headset wouldn't work with it - something i've now discovered was probably more to do with the headset than the phone.
All other aspects of BT work a dream.
Cheers
Ant
PS - XDA2i uses a Widcomm (now Broadcom) BT stack, not the MS one as used on the 2.

Still can't get my XDaIIi to send files via BT to my laptop! I tried it with my old XDA 2 and it works a treat........
Someone please help, i don't know how many times i've posted this topic

Help please! Bluetooth headset woes...

I have purchased an O2 XDAII in Oz which is loaded with the 1.66 ROM. I have tried connecting two headsets to the phone over bluetooth with many problems.
Both seem to bond ok and work initially but later they fail - the XDAII doesn't respond to anything I press on the headset. Or the XDAII does respond (answer or end call) but no-one can hear me either through the headset or the phone.
Deleting and re-bonding seems to temporarily solve the matter. But if the XDAII goes to sleep and comes back on it stops working. Will also just stop working for no reason after a call or two is made or received.
I have tried installing the bluetooth tools which is cool because the XDAII can recognise some of those extra headset profile functions (like redial) but I still get the same problems as above.
Tried Plantronics M3000 and Motorola HS801
What can I do? Is it this Bluetooth stack problem from MS I have read about? Do I need a ROM upgrade? Do I need Widcomm something installed on the XDA II? I don't know how to do any of these myself. Any kind advice from a pro is appreciated in advance.
When you installed bluetooth tools did you delete any bonding and pairing of devices beforehand? it can make a difference if you havent done this.
Yes. I tried it twice thinking that maybe I might guess a way to make it work.
First I deleted the bonds after installing BT Tools and then rebonded.
Then I deleted the bonds before installing BT Tools and then rebonded.
I spoke to my Telstra dealer again today and they received a list from Brightpoint (a distributor) that matches various headsets against various PDA's available in Oz.
Not all BT headsets will work competently with all PDA's. The M3000 is marked as NOT compatible with the O2 XDA II available in OZ. So was the Motorola too.
I am now using a Hello II headset which so far is fantastic (very small and comfortable to wear) and is working with no modifications to the XDA. I will post back in a week with a fuller review. I'm going to re-install BT tools and see if that make a difference with the available functions.
Anyone else wanting to test these out in Perth, WA, (Australia) - they are available from Communications Plus.
Help
I can stop the sleep mode ... I have a MOTOROLA HS-801 Bluetooth Headset
Help
how can I stop the sleep mode ... I have a MOTOROLA HS-801 Bluetooth Headset
I had a problem with my Plantronics M3000 too so I called Plantronics themselves who said that the problem is with the phone, not the headset. It's a compatibility issue with the software.
Unlikely to be any fix, at least not in the near future.

Toshiba bluetooth stack ROCKS...

I installed the Toshiba bluetooth stack on my I-Mate Jam and it ROCKS - it includes ALL the functionality/profiles missing in the MS stack!
...BUT...
It is unstable as hell (I have experienced all sort of "cosmetic" issues) and I am fairly sure this is due to the fact that both MS and Toshiba stacks try to use the same bluetooth hardware SIMULTANEOUSLY.
...SO...
has anyone figured how deinstall/reinstall the microsoft bluetooth stack on a Magician (I-Mate Jam, Qtek S-100, MDA Compact, XDA Mini)?

So, what "ROCKS" about it?
Always do full backup b4 installing sware.
it does what the MS BT stack does (serial port, headset, activesync), but also adds other profiles (pan, dun, obex, ftp, chat + others from memory)
i.e send files/chat with other mobile phone users, access bt pan, etc... though i am only interested in pan, chat and obex
when i fisrt played with it, i immediately saw why everyone whinges with the bt stack...
it's excellent and stable for me, didn't expierence any bugs...
dutty:
Did you get pan working ?
If so can you please let me know how?
Thanks,
Martin
I'm kinda interested ...
Can u please post a copy of that Toshiba Bluetooth stack u're using so we can all have a chance to have a look at it and maybe modify it to work on our phones
uh, just started the service, restarted the device and connected to it!
BUT, i also installed the toshiba BT stack on my workstation
I'm kinda interested ...
Can u please post a copy of that Toshiba Bluetooth stack u're using so we can all have a chance to have a look at it and maybe modify it to work on our phones
And just more thing ... How did u manage to get that bluetooth stack to run on xda devices since it keeps checking for external SD bluetooth cards and was not designed for internal bluetooth chips ?
Look in this thread:

Thanks for the link ....... BUT !!
I was able to download the Toshiba BT Stack v5.01 but it won't seem to work on my xda !! Everytime I tap on Bluetooth Setting (from toshiba) It says the following ' An error occurred with the Bluetooth Card. Confirm that the card is working properly.
Both my MS Stack and Widcomm Stacks are disabled and don't conflict with this new Toshiba Stack.
I was wondering how the thread owner got this BT stack running on his xda ?
It works on my XDA Mini just fine. The only problem I'm having is that it won't stay resident when you power off the device.

Any sugestions ??? :?:

RE
Sorry, another question.
In the event of a hard reset will my O2 XDA II restore the MS stack with whatever registry settings that were deleted in the process of installating the Toshiba bt stack? Will the Toshiba bt stack be totally removed in the evnet of a hard reset?
Thanks again
yes sir
Found 2 problems.
Cannot connect when call ring.. connect then call is fine.
Cannot Accept call with button on headset.
Any more Problems ???
Please post your problems ..
Hi
i´ve tested the toshiba bt software on my MDA-Compact but haven´t got very good results. First, after installation, it seems to work good with my Royaltek RBT 3000 (GPS), but after i´ve switched off the device while an active bt connection was established with my gps software, the bt-stack broks down and the whole systems seems to be unstable. Even after a softreset the bt-software from toshiba says that they didnt recognize any bt hardware.
Now i am trying to deinstall the bt-soft and can recommend everybody who wants to test to make an backup before ;-)
I think that the software from toshiba could work, when the ms-bt-stack would be completly changed with the toshiba-stack, but doesnt work without problems when both bt-stacks are on the system.

XDA-II doesn't Pait With Sony Ericson HBH-15

Hi!
Recently I Bought a XDA-II and now i want to use it with my Sony Ericson HBH-15 bluetooth headset but XDA doent pair with it...
Kindly guide me in how to overcome with this problem or XDA doesnt support this pirticular models..
----
Sanjeev K Purohit
Had the same problem with my HBH-10, but found the solution.
You have to pair your HBH-15 with a Ericsson Phone, and then change the default passkey 0000 to a diffrent one, and then it should pair with your XDA II.
How to do so, check here
wormeyman.com/downloads/HBH10-R3B-EN.pdf
under 'changing the passkey'
A NEw Problem Now!!!
Thnx a lot bro!
But Now thr's a new problem..
Untill using MS bluetooth stack the call used to get transferred to HBH-15 but since I've installed Widdcom Bluetooth stach The widcom can pair with HBH but cant connect..
When I turn it Off and turn On MS bluetooth It transfers the call occasionally may once in five times...
Isnt thr a sure shot way(kinda some tool that will transfer the call to headset straight away...
Regards
Sanjeev
yeah, but that's still the problem that no one got the Widcomm stack working a real 100% reliable. I know tha MS BT sucks because of the many missing profiles, and even worth it's not very 'stable' on my Magician, but still the best option. Sorry mate, but you probably have to live with it the way it is.

Wizard and Nokia ck-7w

Hi,
Does the wizard work with the nokia ck7w Bluetooth car kit?
Without any echo. :?:
On my old Blueangel device the echo was terrible, however on my new Vario only a couple of callers have reported a slight feedback.
I would be interested to hear of a fix.
I'm about to get a Nokia CK-7W installed in my car and I've just seen all the threads about the echo problem.
Most of the posts are pretty old and on the Blue Angel forum (and other forums). Can't find many threads about the wizard and Nokia CK-7W.
I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know if you've had problems with the wizard/CK-7W combo or whether it's been hassle free.
I've got a XDA minis with a 2.21.4.1 ROM.
Hope I haven't wasted my money on something that doesn't work very well.
Cheers,
Gavin
I have a Qtek 9100 and nokia ck-7w installed in my car and have no problems with it if i only use these with BT.
If i navigate with tomtom and my BT Adapt GPS is connected to my Qtek and the same time with the CK-7W and i receive a call then the sound is horrible.
Think it's some kind of bandwith problem.

A2DP + GPS working on XDA II WM5, me...HAPPY!

After trying at least 10 different conbinations of rom/bt stack/patch, finally get bt GPS and A2DP headset to co-exist on my XDA II. I want to thank the brains of this forum...
BTW, Here is the first impression:
1.A2DP functioning well.
2.AVRCP also works!
3.Sound quality is great, no dropping/cut-off.
4.Machine is a bit slower when streaming music.
5.Occational re-bonding of the BT GPS receiver needed, but painless, takes less than a minute.
Still enjoying/testing...
I'm using i-Mate PPCPE (XDA II), Moto HT-820 headset, Belkin(Fortuna?) BT GPS receiver. WM5 ROM 2.01a.32WWE (dl from buzzdev), Radio 1.18.00...
Thanks again guys!
WOW, please tel us how?
Hello cpz21,
I have been searching for a solution for awhile now and keep hitting brick walls.
Could you please tell us the method and sources you used.
I am in need of Bonding my Imate xdaii to my Blueant x5 Headset and from my understanding I need a whole lot of upgrades to do so.
My specs are;
I-mate xdaii
PPC Version 4.20.0
ROM Version 1.66.00WWE
Radio Version 1.10.00
Can this be done?
Thanks

If you only need stereo headset, ROM1.72WWE will be okay, just install widcomm BT stack (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=11729&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=73), you don't need wm5.
If you have BT GPS as well, you need to upgrade to wm5, everything works; or you can use xda2jojo's WM2003seUpgrade (http://forum.xda-developers.com/vie...days=0&postorder=asc&highlight=2003se&start=0), but you have to switch between MS BT stack and wicomm BT stack to use stereo headset and GPS.
good luck.
