Hi guys, just trying to overclock my jam a bit... but forgot to write down the default speeds.... can anyone tell me what they are? or how to reset them? (can't find it in phm)
ok nevermind.. crashed my phone and it got set back to default
cpu 416
bus 104
mem 52
lcd 52
... so what speeds do you guys run your jam on?

hi,
all current overclocking software doesnt work on my device.. (mda vario with omap850-195mhz cpu). i tried it with the latest firmware update.. (and older versions).
its not that i cant install it or something.. i do it the same way like 2 friends of mine (they tried it too on my divice) they have the same phone and same firmware and it just works fine on there devices. but when i set the cpu speed over 194 is crashes..
i searched the whole internet for people who have the same problem like me but i didnt find any.. so is my mda vario seriously broken (hardware) or are the maybe diverrent types of cpus so that my cpu is just not supported? (shoud i try to get a different device.. or can i hope on a solution?
thanks.

Sorry, but which software did you try?
The ONLY overclocking software that works with wizard's OMAP processor is OmapClock 0.2. There's a dedicated thread on this forum, search for it.
Bye
i tried OmapClock 0.2.. and read of course all theads i could find before starting a new one..
but this is not a "user" problem.. i make it all right (100%.. we did it the same way on two divices.. one works fine but my divice just doesnt work at all)

Then the problem may be due to faulty processor (actually not really faulty but less stable at higher frequencies). I have no solution for this but if i were you i'd try hard resetting the phone, installing a newer/different rom, downloading omapclock again and trying again. Never give up! Good luck!
Just dont do overclocking if it is crashing. All of them are not same. My works perfect at 260MHz but my friends Jamin crashes at same speed.
i tried not only one hard reset and not only with one version.. just never works
i use tomtom navigator on my phone.. it works but not as good as on an overclocked device (friends) the direct voice commands are just to slow on my device.. thats the reason i want to overclock
but what can i do.. the device has no "legal" problems so that i cant get a new one easyly
is there maybe work going on to support my "special" cpu or am i just ******
hi,how can i speed up my trinity(p3600) from 400Mhz to 500Mhz?
Lol Lol Lol
Easy : buy a 3600i
or
try Pocket Hack Master. U won't reach 500 but 475
and also problems of course )
hack master gave me 450Mhz but then trin can't connect 3G GPRS and doesn't work with my pc...
anybody know why?
wanna speed up your trinity ? try the XCPUscalar.
use that software once, for my Universal, and it can boost up my Universal from 520Mhz to 624Mhz,Of course ithe temperature on my Uni is different that usual.and battery drain more faster.
scalar is working and everythig is ok but if i speed up trin to 500Mhz don't see any different (like on hack master)
on hack master trin was very fast
on scalar i can slow down cpu but higher than 400 probaly will not workig...
i tried both programs to downclock my cpu:
xcpuscalar didn't change anything.
hack master DID change cpu speed but wifi stopped working... until I switched back to 400MHz.
I think clock has NOT to be modified on this kind of cpus... if it breaks? it's not a computer where you go to ebay and buy a cheap 30€ used cpu...
p3600i have the same cpu and 500Mhz so why p3600 can't?
IMHO may depend on the fact that when you raise cpuspeed some other clocks are affected: "old school" PC overclockers learnt that rising the FrontSideBus you step up PCIclock and AGPclock... because EVERY clock is a multiplied clock (nowadays that's not a problem anymore because of the "clock FIXs").
I wont go in depth here, but even if CPU is stable, PCI clock may be source of disk data corruption, random freezes, etc...
Clock in P3600 may be something like 33MHzx12 and in I3600 33MHzX15: we should work on clock multiplier but I think it's just... LOCKED (like on Pentium II III IV).
Would anyone who has managed to get a HTC Touch HD phone be able to run a speed test and let me know what network, time and location the test was conducted?
www.dslreports.com/mspeed seems like a good place to start
Thanks in advance!

Just ran the test with a 1MB file.
Result was 775 kbit/s.
Network is O2 Germany.
Test was done inside a building, that might lower the transfer rate.
That site's not much use - I just got 500k on 3G, then 250k on wifi (on the 1mbyte test).
Testmyiphone 3Mbyte seems fairly consistent, about 1.25mbit, or 2mbit on wifi (lowest performance, best battery setting).
This is Orange btw, in a good signal area.
Orange france HSDPA : 390kbit/sec
Wifi : 1042kbit/sec
Using Opera
377kbit/s, T-Mobile, UK
874 kbit/sec
0.433s latency
9.786s d/l time.
orange uk using internet explorer
Not overly convinced about the speed test site...
runninga 1Mb file test over my wifi (10meg link) to get some benchmarks before trying 3G, I got
test 1: 'too fast - 2.8seconds'
test 2: 272 kbs, 0.195s latency, 30.151s download time
test 3: 261 kbs, 0.154s latency, 31.515s
test 4: 169 kbs, 0.147s latency, 48.552s
all tests run one after another, with only enough time inbetween for me to copy the results into this post.
the file transfer bar at the bottom?
jumps to 350kb ish instantly
600 / 700 in about 2 seconds
950 a few seconds later
950 - 1Mb takes the remaining 20odd seconds.
not convinced...
LOL.
Posted that, then thought - 1 more go...
test 5: 1156kbs, 0.176s latency, 7.259s
sorry, not going to bother trying over 3G
There was the same thread in the Diamond forum.
It turned out that it also depends on what browser you use.
I did my test with Opera. PIE seems to be slower, so if anyone of you ran the test with Internet Explorer, please re-run it with Opera.
3G speeds
DSL reports:
- 1259 kbps, 0,318s latency, 1Mb file
I used HTC HD as a modem, a local FTP server, I suppose I was the only one connecting to that antena:
Download:6.5Mbps using FlashGet. The results are better than the ones taken with Huawei E220 HSDPA modem.
Upload:1.3Mbps using FileZilla
Location : Orange Moldova
818kbit/sec on SFR france
1348 o2 UK
Hallo Folks,
I think my WiFi-Connection on my brand new HTC Blackstone is very slow. But I had the same problem with my older tytn II.
I have to say, that I am rather hazy about the speed one can achieve...
Here you can get a 10/100/2000 MB testfile: http://www2.qsc.de/dltest/
So I will start and will update this list:
me: 533 kbps
bbonzz: 1750 kbps
Please say how fast you are connected with the internet, so we can except the internet connection.
p.s.: Sorry for my bad english!
tested two days ago with 1mb file -->1750 kbps
Can you tell me what channel you are using.. perhaps it has something to do with it. I use one (next used channel is 11) and alternative for testing 13, but its the same!
11. But i connect to a 20mbps lan, so maybe you have a slower connection hotspot
hmm... i have 16 mbit, so somehow something is wrong
could it have something to do with different radio or maybe i have a different network stack in my win mob 6.1 ?
Have you already enlarged the connection window via HDTweak and enabled WlanG? (last one i'm not sure makes any difference, but surely doesn't harm)
Yes - i have checked the first thing and applied the second thing u mentioned... no differenze
I now tried duttys latest rom... but still the same
The page you linked to redirects to the homepage.
I tested on www.ozspeedtest.com
On both the 600KB and 3MB files I got exactly:
1.63MBps
My internet speed is:
20Mbps
Hi,
I´m using my Touch HD as modem for my laptop.
Normally, this region I´m living in, offers HSDPA (O2) but when I´m doing a speed test, I only get a download rate about 350kbps, this is not even UMTS-speed. The acces point is right. Is the modem of my HD so bad? Whats the problem?
Thanks,
Fl0w

Hi Fl0w
I realise you said your ap settings is correct, however you may want to double check that / see whether there are alternative ap's that also work, but work better.
I'm on Orange and had the same problem - approx. 300kbps as a modem but no higher. Called Orange support, guy directed me to remove the Orange WAP ap (default setting when you buy the phone) so it defaults to Orange Internet. Presto, jumps to a consistent 1.2Mbit.
Why they don't configure the phone with the right ap in the first instance I don't know... perhaps its an attempt to minimise network usage.
Also, are you getting 300 kbit/s or 300 kbyte/s ?
If you are getting 300 kbyte/s then that is very good for HSDPA.

I'm guessing it's 300Kb/s and not 300KB/s since that's 2400Kb/s which sounds too crazy for HSDPA. Not to mention that bandwidth is always measured in Kb/s while data is measured KB/s (aka if its moving data it's Kb/s and if it's sitting in memory it's KB/s).
but if it is 300KB/s then.... DAM I wants that!

It must be the setting as I also get 1.2M from a good HSDPA signal.
It´s kb, like I said. Not kB
