Hello all, does anyone know of there will be an update to the JASJAR (universal) so that it send the name of the person calling to a Caller ID BT Headset and not just the number...???
we need an update of the BT stack... someone know if microsoft is working on it ? it would be very usefull for my jabra BT 800
It is very interesting also for me, I use a SE HBH-660 and I need to know who is calling. I hope in a next firmware update.
I try it with a WWE and an ITA version of the ROM.

i am pairing a bluetooth headset to my xda II.everything looks fine, device is paired but calls do not pass to the headset.
can somebody help me and tell me what to do
did you install bluetooth tools ?
Did you activate the headset profile?
What brand is your bluetooth headset? Nokia does not work.
from roms 1.60.36 (NL) and 1.72.00 definittely Bluetooth Tools are not needed.
Be sure to pair (did that I guess) In rom 1.72 you will get the question to setup the bonded device to be used with the headset profile.
Activate headset profile
Some headsets don't work, search this forum for other threads on that.
how can i activate the headset profile ?? i have an belkin headset and rom 1.03.00 USA. I haven´t the bluetooth tools, if it´s really needed, where can i find it :?:
come on guys, at least do a search before you ask these things

ok tks, i have installed the tools and select the profile when i pair the device. maybe my question was wrong. Now after all this thing i can´t receive call trought the headset, and i thought that maybe there is and app to do this task easier. thanks again

Hi all,
Few weeks ago I read in this forum, but I forgot whether is there any solution for above mention subject.
Is there any bluetooth that support Voice command? Or any bluetooth headset v1.2 is compatible with it?
Say that I like to have bluetooth headset that I need to press the button to call, to get appointment, etc just by say it to the headset.
This would be great as you have personal assistance
Regards,
Arto.
Hi,
I think it was me who posted the message but I still am looking for a peice of software for the MDA Compact that allows voice commands through my HBH600 - anyone?
Thanks
Msuk
As far as i know, this is not supported by the MS Stack used by the magician.
I don't get it. Everyone was saying that the Widcomm/Broadcom stack was no good for Voice Command, and now we've got Microsoft and their own stack is still no good.
So, who's manufacturing a stack that actually works?
I hear that the ETEN M-series (500, 600, perhaps earlier) works with Voice Command over the BT headset, so what stack are they using?
That the best thing I have ever heard, to be able to just push the button on the head set to give Voice command a request instead of pulling the phone out of your pocket all the time would be great.
Hi,
I used to be able to issue voice commands for my contacts when I had a SE P900. Also the callers name was announced in the BT and using my voice I could say 'Answer' or 'busy' why cant the MDA Compact be able to do this? MDA Compact get some many things right but gets a whole load of other functionality totally wrong :-(
Thanks
Msuk
Check this out...
Someone over at HowardForums.com's Pocket PC forum was able to tell me that the Eten M500 Pocket PC Phone Edition uses the Microsoft Bluetooth stack (although "enriched" or modified) and they apparently can use Voice Command over the Bluetooth headset, and even activate it by pushing the action button on the headset!
http://www.howardforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=181 ... See "My new Eten M500" thread.
So, I'm asking anyone who's got the Extended ROM to upload it or post it somewhere so we can take a closer look!
Thanks people.
Anyone have o2 mini and Motorolla HS-850 bluetooth handsfree?
This handsfree is bluetooth v1.2. I am wondering if I can use this bluetooth for above purpose. Not perfect maybe, but at least I can get caller id readed by voice command better than sony HBH-660 caller id display.
Anyone with HS-850 please comment.
Thank you in advance.

Hey guys,
I was wondering whether the Qtek test rom that can be found here:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Wizard/Roms/Qtek/RUU_Prodigy_2080701_101_11310_Qtek_WWE_Test.exe
has changed the BT stack in the wizard to allow the caller id functionality of the Jabra BT-800 to become usable, sending both NAME and number (instead of number only) to the BT headset. I know that there is a taiwanese headset with a caller ID LCD readout as well, so it might work on this one as well.
If anyone has tried, please let me know. I was hoping that the A2DP in the test rom would add this functionality. Thanks to everyone on this great forum!

Hi guys! This is my first post here, so please help me!
I wish to know if it's possible to connect my HTC TyTn to the Parrot CK3100 and to listen TomTom's indications through the car stereo instead through the TyTn itself. Is there a way to do that?
Thanks a lot!

Don't have Parrot....
What I use is JetWare Mobile bluetooth extension on my WM6 and it allows me to make and receive calls through my car stereo as well as use voice commander through my car stereo or use my Motorola headset to switch from listening to music on my PC and answering / making calls from my PDA (all automatically)... They have a beta on there site that will allow you to do this. From what I read of your message your only looking for TomTom and Phone so you may only need to use the standard version. The other thing that may be a problem is your car stereo not sure of its capabilities. My stereo has 2 bluetooth connections one for the phone and the other is for the stereo input. I paired the phone to the phone and the stereo to Voice Command (you could use TomTom instead) Sadly don't know much about GPS/TomTom and don't know if it needs voice commands, but do know you need to hear it. BTW its not free, but they have a trial period so you can see if it works for you.
Best of Luck!
I have an answer and a question...
If this was your first post I assume that you have the original rom on your tytn (wm5)
I could listen tomtom and mp3 files by Parrot's bluetooth (ck3100) when I had the original rom using this little app and modifying something in the registry (because the modifications of the registry that made by default this app does'nt works fine for me, read the threath for more info and or if you have issues)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=278778
Now have the back majik rom and works fine with parrot, it shows more info than before, but I've tried withouth success using the same method and tomtom doesn't speaks me by the car's sound system yet...
Someone can help me please?
thanks in advance
