Run 'Uncertified' CABs

Hello everybody,
Is there any backdoor possibility to run "Uncertified" CAB files on JasJar WM2K5 ?

Uncertified system software problem, still a problem
Anyone have an update on this problem? I"m trying to install the Blackberry Connect software ( Not the TMO one) on a Cingular Wizard.

Hey,
When you did a soft reset, did you do it using the hole or software?
I was told that if you use the hole the settings don't activate, you need to make the registry changes, and use software to restart the phone, like psShutXP.
Any help?

I've did a hard reset, hit the reset hole for 3 seconds when it starts to load software so I can boot up without the ROM loading ( as I have read you need to do ). I still can't install the Blackberry software. It still says that it's uncertified software.
Any other ideas?

You don't have to hold the reset pin in for 3 seconds, you have a window of three seconds in which to tap it.
OK, once you have done the hard reset you can then try the registry edit or the .CAB file to get rid of the security check.
Once you have edited the registry and installed the .CAB you will have to do a soft reset, not a hard one.
A hard one will make the changed that you just made go away.
If you have a copy of psShutXP you can use that to reboot rather than the reset pin, or you can make the changes then wait 5 minutes before you reset.

If you tried the Disable Security CAB file and you're still getting that message, it's a possibility that the file was actually modified. In that particular case, you have to have the device re-signed... search for signcode here...

Hi, it would seem that beyondthetech has made an arrangement with his hosting company that prevents him from hosting cab files to reduce his traffic burden. Does any one have a copy of the disable security cab file as all links point to beyondthetech and no files are available from there currently

Im trying to use old dictionary (16 bit American Heritage) but says access denied not digitally signed.

This works on my Orange Branded HTC Touch

Not digitally signed wuth trusted certificate
thnx 4 the cab. I got same prob few days back. I just adjust the properties for cab file on my PC, clear 'unblock', transfer file again to my pda n things work. but i'm not sure of thats..maybe this cab can make work more easy n i'll try soon.

I can't help you with your particular enquiry, but I have exactly the same device history as per your signature - give or take a couple of Symbian devices along the way. I am on the HD2 at the moment. Still love the jasjar though - terrified of the day when the battery dies on me.

ok go to settings (back all your stuff up) security and factory reset ok then install the disable security signed thing and your done

Unfortunately it did not solve the problem: Security Configuration Manager tries to install Tool.cab on my HD2, but without any success, "Not signed application, instalation was unsuccessful"
Does anybody have solytion, how can I manually edit the registry???

Over clock my wing with Touchflo

I tried to install Battarystatus on my wing with Touchflo. It did install but I was not able to see it on my today screen. Everytime I would run the program I would get a message saying I need to enable battarystatus. It never worked. I even installed Homesreen plus plus and at the exe file it would not load. Anyone know what im doing wrong. I have been reading that i should overclock my wing to 247-260 and would love to know how to do it.

So I downloaded omapclock plus and im stuck. When I goto to settings and click it a window opens up and says "can't load omapclock.ink. The "register" and "unregister" is graded out. the only thing I can change is the omapclock.ink path. right now it shows \windows\startup
Someone please help.... Im really having a hard time over clocking this thing with any cab's...

Do you have the actual program on your phone, lol? omapclock.exe
you need that in order to overclock. it seems like you have the startup link to the program but you dont have the program on your phone and you have the program to control the speed.

I downloaded from my phone first and tryied to install it. as soon as i clicked the zipped exe file i would get to the screen that asked to register and notregistered. it said below can't find the omapclock.ink file?? I tryed a few times then I deleted it. I would like to try it again... can you help me? Is it downloadable from my phone or do I need to use my pc? I did it both ways....
This error is driving me crazy.... Thanks again!!!!

its your lucky day, i just uploaded what you need to overclock, enjoy...
almost forgot, be careful when overclocking, you can destroy your phone! if you overclock too high your screen will go CRAZY (you'll find out what im talking about) so its better to open/click the OmapClock.exe file that you just placed in the windows folder and play around with it before you use OmapClockPlus to register the speed you want. TRUST ME
actually it would be best if you make a shortcut of the OmapClock.exe to your startmenu\programs folder so you dont have to open the file explorer to find OmapClock.

What response are you getting when trying to remove it?
Have you tried removing it, soft resetting, then trying to remove it again as soon as the phone restarts?

manualy remove the files
and remove the entry in the reg which makes it show up in add/remove programs

Same thing is happening to me. It says it cannot remove the program... Very annoying... Even editing the registry it remains in the add/remove programs list

Whenever I encounter this kind of error, I just re-install that same app then check again in the remove programs if the item is still there, most of the time it gets removed by that method.

Use SK Tools, it has an option to remove bad install data or software that wont uninstall the normal way, works every time for me

[Q] RegEdit, Advanced Config

Hello wp7 community,
I have a question regarding the registry editabilty on WP7 Mango HD2.
Everytime i open a Application on the Phone which is able to change registry setting it immediatly closes, i cant even klick one single thing, but the other xap's work great, even the u2m7720 xap, i dont know what to do.
Someone any advice?

I answered this elsewhere but,..
Look in settings at the bottom and there they are.
(the latest versions that is)

if reg edit and/or adv. config close themselfs directly after opening up, try to open in flight mode should work, as it does for me....

It may also mean that your phone has become Dev_locked

hm, that would mean i'm not able to sideload or run .xap's anymore on the other hand, wouldn't it? but i still can haven't played with the "prevent unlocking" option also..

Dont try to prevent unlocking, you will lose your xaps!
But you know that anyway, i've seen you post on schaps site

p.s.II also on my girlfriends fresh 7720 final - flashed hd2 incl. cleanup, hardreset and so on, the adv. conf. tool self-resumes after 3 - 5 sec. if phone service is running... before i was able to make one only setting. in flight mode it's running fine (the tool). must be a problem in adv. config
