yea this mayb a noob question but,
How do you install activsync again on ppc
i mean i have it on there but it keeps crapping up. sometimes the bluetooth activsync works. sometimes it doesnt work at all. and sometimes it works fine.
i dont wanna have to hard reset.. again! (that ws my problem wen activsyncing via bluetooth) surely there is an easier way!
So is there a download or something for activsync for ppc (XDAII, windows version 2003)

activesync is build into the rom and cant be installed

i have no problems with mine
using bluetooth tools
the latest activesync
sure sometimes when i turn bluetooth on and try to connect
before it's ready it fail but then i just say connect again and it's all good

make sure you have ActiveSync 3.7.1 or re-install it ... delete and re-creat the partnership if needed

have you tried opening activesync on your pocketpc
clicking tools
clicking option
clicking options
clicking enable pc sync when using this connection
and choosing 'USB ?

the device work before its only today i dont know whats hapend
also i remove all soft that i install today

i remove all this and i make a soft reset many time
but nothing
also the are no conflict into the usb device and the cradel is know well by the pc
i suggest if there are no pin connection broken (but i see well no pin broken ) it's a software configuration

I had exactly the same problem about a month ago and after trying everything under the sun and nothing working i eventually ended up doing a hard reset,
It fixed it instantly so i restored all my data from a backup and it stopped working straight after the restore,
i hard reset once again and it synced ok, so i then had to reinstall all my programs individually rather than restoring the backup, it was very annoying but i dont think theres any other way around it

AS - simply reports a sync error - thats it nothing else, I have reboot ed mt desktop and latpo several times.
Any ideas??

don't u think that ur problem needs a little bit more explanation than u offered,like what's ur device(obviously it's a himalaya,but what brand),what's ur OS,what version of AS are u using,what type of synchronization are u trying to establish(bt or USB),what happened,or it's the first time u try synchronizing,etc....!!!!!

It's an iMate - it was working yesterday (Connected via USB) - today when connecting it tries to connect then just says 'Syncrhonisation Error' on Activesync main screen. That's it.
Tried a different cradle, and rebooting both DPC and PPC. still the same thing.
It has thre original ROM with WM2003.

try downloading AS 4.0 from the ftp or buzzdev.net,or even from M$ website,then make sure that "allow USB connection" is selected in "connection settings,it should work smoothly unless u have some hardware issue...
Note that to install AS 4.0 or 4.1,u need a windows XP OS with SP2 on ur desktop/laptop...

Ive always been able to connect my S100 to my PC and Active Sync has automaticly started up asking me what kind of connection I want (Guest or Standard) But now it wont work.
It still charges through the USB and when Windows finds the device but Active synd doesnt. (Im running latest version from MS)
I've un- and reinstalled Active Sync
I've tried different USB-ports
I've tried different USB-Cables
I've tried different computers (wont work there either)
I've rebooted the device
It must be something in my S100
Please help!

Are u using the same version of Active sync that came bundled with your device?
If yes TRY THE UPDATED VERSION
If NO, Try the PREVIOUS VERSION.
maybe there is something wrong in one of the connecting Pins In the cradle/Socket of the cable
How do I update software in the device, when I cannot sync?
Ive tried different software in my PC. None worked.
Im not sure its a HW-failure in the cable, since I tried different ones..
It could be in the device, Im not sure how to check though.

What version of ActiveSync has worked for you up until now?
Try an older version of AS:

That almost always does the trick....sometimes my MDA II will act really weird and a soft or even a hard reset will fix a seemingly incompatible app.
First of all i really want to thank all the Helmi_c and all the developers; My BA is most updated running wm6.
Well much better than wm5 but I have some issues:
1. cant sync it with my PC in anyways (BT, usb etc), USB drivers are not working correctly.
2. sometimes when i pick or dial a call, i cant hear nething.
and last but not relevant to this, guys how do i stop my BA slider from falling down when I use keyboard.
1. Try delete the actual partnership in AS, sync again; if not reinstall AS on PC
2. No problem here with the sound.

I upgraded my XDA2s, customized it,backedup, then upgraded my brothers XDA2s and used my customized backup on his XDA2s.
Now my XDA connects fine, but his doesn't !!!
Both our XDa2s's are identical in everyway.
tried a hard reset and restore from another backup and still no luck!
we were trying to save time re-installing the same softwares.
tried deleting partnerships, no luck. tried spb backup and clone, no luck.
any ideas!
Do you get any error messages on AS? Can you browse the internet from device?

can anybody post usb drivers i think this is the problem cause my device isnt installed properly it says problem with inf file.
whoever is able to connect his device to xp desktop via active sync usb connection, please copy the drivers folder contents from program files in active sync folder.

Is your windows firewall enabled? Since WM6 activesync makes use of a LAN connection to sync with the PC, you must allow activesync trough the windows XP firewall, or disable the windows XP firewall completely...

did you try to install WM6_SoundFix_.cab ?

Hi, since short time I have a problem with to sync my touch. I connect my touch with the pc and AS try to connect, later I can go in the folders in my mobile but AS don't sync and send failer message :-(.
What can I do?
I attache the failer message in german.
i was getting a similar message...download winsockfix from google and install...i'll reset the registry and reboot the comp....and then it works fine...
Can you help me with more details.. I'm not very good in this things :-(.

With this PC i sync 2 other device without probs (Touch Dual and Touch Diamond).

After installing winsockfix and run too.. nothing change :-( 2 device work well but the touch cannot sync again :-(
ok.. I find something :
Delete the partnership on PC and on device and sync again (you must be patient!) it work very slow but it work.
ya just install it on your pc and just run..
just uninstal and instal again Activesync, it will work again
