JAM and U-Connect Bluetooth Kit - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

Does anyone have JAM working with the U-Connect Bluetooth Kit installed on JEEPs and Chryslers?
I was able to pair my JAM with my Chrysler Pacifica's U-Connect Kit but I can not make or receive phone calls.
Before this car kit worked fine with t68i.

the only way that I have been able to get it to work is to initiate the call on your handset and hold the uconnect button down to "transfer audio". This will allow you to atleast use the system. I have to reset te unconnect often... but as long as the uconnect light is blinking i can send and answer from my headset and talk over uconnect.
Hope this helps. If you find a better way please let me know.

Answering a Call whilst Using Tomtom.....

Friends,
I have the EXEC and when im using TOMTOM i receive a call, does anyone know how to answer it and Enable the handsfree speaker? I found that i was driving, and i got the call alert and pressed Answer, however i had to pick the exec up, and use it as a normal hand-ear. Anyway of enabling Hands Free?
MANY THANKS
Try holding the Green Button until the speaker is activated + - 3 Seconds
Then switch of Aircon / radio / close the window ...
I must say that Radio 1.06.00 improved the Speaker volume

Skillie
or buy a bluetooth headset (circa £30 these days) and configure the auto answer feature.
Even without auto answer on my MDA Pro interupts TomTom with the usual call anouncement and I simply hit the button on my headset to accept the call.
i'm having the same problem..
when i use tomtom with bt gps.. and my bt headset.. i cannot make or answer any calls..
the ringtone doesn't sound normal either.. (no continues ringing)
multiple bluetooth devices problem?
TomTom & Nokia Car Kit
I have a similar problem,
I am using a Nokia CK-7w BT Car kit, and a generic BT GPS receiver.
Upon receiving a call, the phone rings as normal, swtiches the stereo off and I take the call - however once on the call I lose the connection to the GPS receiver.
IT must be possible for the two devices to work together as I always receive the calls through the Car Kit.
Any ideas?

Dunno, my O2 Exec with Tomtom 5.2 has no problems. I use a globalsat receiver and currently a Moto HS820 headset, (previously a Jabra BT200, but I broke that).
Navigates fine, when I recieve a call, tomtom is muted, the exec and the headset ring, I press the answer button on the headset, and can take the call, Tomtom will continue to navigate without voice prompts. Finish the call via headset button again and Tomtom becomes un-muted and continues as before.
So the Exec version of the universal at least is more than capable of managing the tasks you require via multiple bluetooth connections. I run in corporate mode if that makes any difference.
tomtom 5?
Im using tomtom 5.21 (i think) with a Bluetooth handsfree kit. Jabra over the ear type. When a call comes in and TomTom is runnin a message flashes up on screen notifying of incoming call. I can answer the call using the soft answer button on screen or by pressing the pickup button on my headset. When I do the message on screen goes away and TomTom carries on just with the sound muted. When I hang up by pressing the call button on my headset TomTom unmutes itself.
Certainly with a bluetooth handsfree kit I have found tomtom works really well.

Bluetooth issue

I have a Parrot CK3300 blutooth car kit and find that it works great if I make a call. If I receive a call the bluetooth connection drops out and I have to pickup the phone.
For a while I was thinking that there was an issue with the way I had my phone setup until my wife got a JasJam as well. She has the same problem with her phone. Now we have another Parrot kit in her car and it does the same thing.
Is this a problem with the carkit, phone or bluetooth?

Replacement bluetooth stack or fix for car kit?

Just bought a x7501 and I love it so far with 1 exception, it doesnt appear to like my bluetooth car kit in my 2007 nissan altima
It paired perfectly and everything seemed to go ok, but when I receive a call I can pick it up with the car kit but then it drops the call off the car kit (within 1-2 seconds) then reconnects but without sound (I cant hear people through the device speaker or the car kit). Whats weird is it does not drop the call, it seems to lose connection with the car kit then reestablish (the call timer goes 00:00, 00:01, 00:02, CALL ENDED, 00:00, 00:01, 00:02).
My x7501 seems to work fine with my BT800 headset, and the car kit worked perfectly with my old cingular 8125 (wm5). I did some searching on the forums and saw people with similar issues with car kits but nothing quite like this and nothing specific to this device...On my old 8125 I was using a replacement widcomm stack, is there a replacement stack for the athena I could try to see if it solves my issues?
I have Jetware installed, tried with and without it same problem.

Hi,
try the following:
Before you enter your car, disable bluetooth on the x7501. (Make sure your headset is turned off to prevent autoreconnection from your headset to your x7501)
Enter the car, turn on bluetooth on the x7501 and after that turn on your car kit.
This procedure helped me with nearly the same problem.
Cheers

haha yea i thought about that as i got int the car. sadly i tried it and it didnt work, any other ideas?
Whats weird is the cingular 8525 is on the official approved working devices list on the nissan website. I assume the 8525 uses the default microsoft bt stack which gives me some home. Could it just be registry setting differences between the device that would cause the problem?

HD2 and Nokia bluetooth car kit

I've got a Nokia bluetooth car kit (CK-7W) and while this worked perfectly with my N95 (obviously) and works for incoming calls on the HD2 there's one problem with using it for outgoing calls.
To make a call with the Nokia you hold down the button on the car kit for a second and then this triggered voice dialling. However, holding down the button while connected to the HD2 mutes the stereo and then just seems like it's trying to do something then goes back to stereo again. Now I'm presuming that as the HD2 doesn't come with voice dialling (why oh why?) there's no button for the hands free kit button to map to.
I've installed Cyberon but as this still doesn't work off a button press it also doesn't work.
What I'm wondering is, is there any way to map Cyberon (or whatever other voice dialer you use) to a button and then get that button to be picked up by the Nokia car kit?
Not hopeful but as being able to make calls hands free is generally the point of a hands free kit, any help would be appreciated.
Any solution?

Did you find any solution to this issue? I facing the same.
I am in the same boat, anyone help please? All I want it to do is play and receive audio through the car kit
thanks
D
I have the same kit and have found the following:
1. If you receive an incoming call and press the Nokia Car Kit button it answers the phone and the call comes through the kit speakers.
2. If you answer an incoming call with the phone handset rather than the car kit button the phone answers but the sound comes from the phone rather than the car speakers.
3. If you try to initaite a call be pressing the car kit button the HD2 doesn't understand whats going on and sits there waiting for a timeout.
4. If you initiate a call through the phone (in a cradle to maintain hands-free laws) then the phone dials and then switches on the car kit so that the call comes through the car speakers.
I had to do this with my Orbit II since I never got round to using voice tags for pressing the Nokia button.

I was always under the impression that the Nokia CK-7W does not support A2DP.
This feature only really came out in the later models such as Ck-20, ck-100 etc.
Do bear in mind that ck-7w is approximately 5-6 years old. I am not even sure waht bluetooth revision and call handling firmware is running in the hf-5 module box.
I do know that people started to have problems with ck-7w with the newer series of phones so most of them upgraded their kits.
If you do look for an upgrade option, you may wish to check out parrot ck 3100.
A lot of our customers have used these with no problem, and those that did have a minor problem went to parrot support and bluetoothed the newer firmware to the kit to resolve it.
I do not work for Parrot in anyway. These are just my personal findings organising car kit installations for various corporate customers.
I have a CK-7W and it works fine with MS Voice Command
HTH
I've got an HTC HD2 from my Company. Now i wanted to connect it to my Nokia CK-7W installed in my car. The problem is, that the phone does not find the Carkit!
Does anybody know a solution?
Thanks!

Parrot Hands-Free

Hi Folk
Ive had a quick search and not found anyone with the same issue.... might be cos the phone is new out.
I have a parrot bluetooth hands-free kit in the car and since changing from the iphone to the DHD i cannot use the call pickup button to call out like i would nomally do in the iphone.
Is there something i need to do or is this function not availble on this phone? Im new to the android software so ive probably missed the obvious.
Thanks in advance
Muzzy
A also have a parrot BT kit ( Mki-9000) but I don't have such issue. I can play music via a2dp, and also I can make calls and everything works fine.
The only issue I have is when i want to answer an incoming call - if I answer through the phone ( by pressing the green button) the sound is not forwarded to the BT kit. I don't have such issues with my Nokia.
I can't test right now what will happen if I answer through the BT kit because my Steering Wheel remote control is out of power.
To resolve your problem try to search the parrot website's forum also check for the latest firmware updates for your device. In the past I have similar issue with HTC3300 but after firmware update it was fixed.
The issue I have (mki9200) is that A2DP seems to be on permantly, so when listening to my ipod through the parrot, if I have satnav on, then the directions come through the parrot kit. If a new email or txt comes in, the notification comes through the parrot. With my old Omnia, I could deactivate the Headset profile (A2DP) and keep the Hands Free profile when I was connected to my parrot.
Can this be done on the DHD.
(ignore my footer - can't seem to change this at the moment)

Check out ... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=834983&page=3 .... my post #22. Should answer your *problem*. I had the same thing when switching from Nokia to HTC .... But if you check a couple of posts later I've also found that I can use the phone to initiate a call and the sound *does* go to the Bt device ....
