Bluetooth Icon is not present - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

Hi all
Sometimes when I do a soft reset the bluetooth ocon from the lower menue disappear but after another soft reset is shows up again. Now it is not appearing anymore (I have just completed my 13th soft reset). I can still turn on and off the blue tooth from dk today version 1.79 but no icon is present. Please any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is a really bad bug that the developers apparently can't fix for good. But usually it helps to run the BTfix...

Try to unselect all your today items (under settings->today->items) and then do a soft reset. Your icon should be back.
you can now reactivate your today items.
BR.

thanks a lot carlosz your solution worked.

I have observed this. Try to change your screen orientation left or right then do a soft reset. The icon should be back.

thanks for the advise

Try to adjust the MEM between storage and program (half to half) and soft reset than it will appear...

thanks for the another advice

After trying various other means over these 2 days eg. removing the battery and sim card and many further soft resets it still failed to activate the touch screen....I called the dealer and distributor of dopod and they had no solution other then advising HARDRESET...Oh ghoosh I was about to surrender and to opt for the final destiny ie HARD RESET b4 a thought ran through my mind about removing these 2 programs ie Dinarsoft Handy Menu and Pocketmax buttonmax which I had just installed b4 this problem occured and had display the error message of being unable to startup at every soft reset.
Icannot used the hard keyboards(as the screen is disable) to remove these 2 programs which I had tried but failed when I initially had the problem so I placed my dopod900 on the cradle activesync and used the desktop to remove these 2 programs and then BINGO......
THE TOUCHSCREEN IS ENABLED AND WORKING BACK TO NORMAL..

Serious (?) problem...need some help please. O2 XDA Mini S

Hi, I'v got O2 XDA Mini S and a "little" problem with it. I'v just installed Phone Profiles [Second Edition] 8.0 and it crashed my phone. After installation (on my memory card), I could not see it on my today screen...so I'v tried to configure it in today screen configuration - but I could not get there - the configuration we're not accessible (it crashed). So after that, soft reset. And the real problem began. After the boot screen and "windows mobile welcome screen" the mobile just freezes. Active sync on my PC connects to it just for a second, then disconnects. The Phone Profiles [Second Edition] 8.0 is installed on my memory card, so I'v removed the memory card - the same problem. It was annoying - so hard reset....does not help. I have Wisbar Advance 2 as well, which is starting first and I can see only the welcome screen of it (sometimes it loads and I can see the whole skin). Sometimes (after reboot) I can see the menu, today screen etc. but the phone freezes. I think that the Phone Profiles [Second Edition] 8.0 is freezing the phone after his process starts. Is there anything like "safe mode" start or something like that, which could help me to remove this soft ? Or any other way to normally start the phone ? Any ideas ? Many thanks for help.
It should start after hard reset - phone profiles, wisbar advance will not load after a proper hard reset - the phone will be back to factory condition.
Did you do proper hard reset? After that it sounds like phone profiles should be installed to device memory not storage card. Most today plugins only work properly on device memory.
I'v done the hard reset (I think it was done properly - comm manager and voice command button pressed in the same time and then reset button). But after I'v pressed these buttons, nothing specially happend....the phone was still off. So I'v turned it on....and there were no changes with the software - still the same. Maybe I'm doing the hard reset wrong ?

Yep sounds like hard reset is not done. Press these 2 buttons but keep them pressed and dont let go - then press reset with the tip of the stylus and then text should come on the screen with black background. Press green (call) button and hard reset will commence.
Or you can first turn device off - then press the 2 buttons and keep them held and press power on to reach the same screen.
Ok, I'v done it. Many, many thanks for help. The phone manual is wrong (!). . Anyway Phone Profiles [Second Edition] 8.0....WTF is that ? This program just crashed my phone and I need to reinstall all the soft. Wrrr. And I just wanted a profile manager . Thanks again for help !
Good, I am glad - try the one I use - its free http://www.winmobileapps.com/device/pocketpc/plt/plt_download.aspx
Nice one, got it. Thanks.

Trinity Crashed After Soft Reset

Hallo everyone and thanks for your help.
I did a soft reset on my pcc and after loading the HTC splash screen, the display stand with LOADING fixed in the middle , the green light blinks and after 1 minute the dispaly goes off. And I can do nothing, neither access using activesync or the softkeys. The phone seems working becuase if i do a phone call to my devices i have the answering tone (bu the ppc doesn't ring).
So...Any idea?
Thanks for your help.

Some programs that you installed crashed during the init...
If you did install some programs with a safe mode, you it may be saved - otherwise hard reset is inevitable...

Do I need to hard reset my xv6800 ?

I just installed the BatteryStatus today plug in and it was working fine until i turned on the option to show the CPU speed. Then it just hung up. Now when I soft-reset it hangs when loading the today screen. Some of the plugins load but it hangs before BatteryStatus loads, probably while loading it. Any way I can get to my system to change that setting? I would prefer to not do a hard reset. But if I do, how do I do a hard reset?
Sounds like a hard reset to me....Hold down the two keys with the dot's on them next to your phone buttons and hit the reset button while pressing the reset switch and hold them down for a second or two longer. If you have a Memory card in on the 6800 I hear you may want to take it out if you don't want it cleared as well...good luck.
hmmm I went to do a hard reset... saw on another site that you press all the buttons and press reset. I pressed all the side buttons OK, Voice, On, Comm, Camera and hit the reset.
It went to a screen with red, green and blue (i think) bars and said USB at the bottom. Then I unplugged it from the USB and it switched to say serial. And it just stayed there. I didn't know what to do so I just soft reset it at that point. It then booted up and was working fine. Looks like the changes I made since the last soft reset had been cleared (I think) and it was now working fine and all my stuff was still on my phone (it doesnt look like it did a hard reset).
Was that not a hard reset that I did? or was it something else?
Sounds like you entered bootloader mode. I'm surrprised that a SOFT RESET took you back.......
You just did a Soft Reset from Bootloader mode, which to my knowledge is exactly the same as a regular Soft Reset.
A Hard Reset wil completely reset your device to original ROM status and wipe out all of your info/contacts/mail... ect.
If the Soft Reset fixed the problem then good deal.
I installed same app, had same problem and did hard reset. My problem was getting phone service working again. About 15 min. with VZW connection tech, entered a 26 digit number authentication key through EPST.exe system program to get my phone service back.
I also had the same problem as well. With a battery status deal like what your describing. All i did was soft reset a **** load of times and plug in my pw real fast and it came back. I have a scrolling task now that display all of it with 0 problems. I have it if you want it. Pm me your email.
Weird, I had tried a soft reset a few times and it kept coming back with the same thing, hanging halfway through loading the today screen. Maybe I just got lucky that time.
try this, i like alot with 0 problems

Start menu turns white after 3 clicks

When i first turn on the phone, and hit the start menu in top left, it's fine, second time I hit it, a bunch of programs show like calculator 6 times settings a bunch, like a history of what I've gone to. Third time, everything is white and if I scroll down using joystick it turns into color, but still very annoying.
Anyone know what's causing the problem?
Thanks
edit: not just when i turn on the phone, it happens always then, but not always during regular running
when did u get your titan are you turning the phone off with the power button or soft resetting. if your not using the soft reset button try that
I got it back in november, it's been good up until about a week ago... and yes I've been soft resetting
I had the same exact problem. I was running ROM 3.16. For the life of me I couldn't figure out why it was happening. I installed the Large Start Menu program a few days earlier. I didn't like it so I uninstalled it. A few days later I started getting the Start Menu problem. I'm not sure if the Large Start Menu program was the problem since the uninstall was done a few days prior. In any event I ended up installing dcd's 2.3.1 ROM a few days ago and the problem hasn't returned.
****, ok i tried to get a new rom, and now im stuck at this screen that is red green blue and white stripes, and says
"TITA100 MFG
SPL-2.4.0 Olipro
CPLD-9"
please help I have no idea what I'm doing, and I really dont want to hard reset! Thanks
See my reply in your other thread.
Regarding the white Start menu, I don't know if this is the cause, but PPC2003 used to have a bug where if you had more than 10 items on your Start menu, it would turn white. Maybe that's your problem.
