How to turn off bt with bthtools - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

Hi,
I am using bthtools to make my bt run properly, but everytime someone calls me it turns bt on for one minute, anyone know how to turn bt instantly off? (except btht uninstalling?)

XDA2: Bluetooth failing about 15 mins after re-bonding

I have been having some problems with my bluetooth just not picking up. Device is Plantronics M3000 and after I rebonded it with the XDA2, is fine. If I then turn off the headset, turn off bluetooth on the XDA and put in standby, leave for 10 mins, finally turn everything back on, the headset is not picking up calls. Bluetooth is set to ON and headset mode is enabled.
Is it possible that an application I have installed is affecting the bluetooth? I performed the ROM Upgrade but can't really remember using bluetooth before now and then, so can't confirm ROM Upgrade isn't responsible.
I will attempt hard reset on sunday, but has anyone else got any suggestions?

Bluetooth turning off while in standby

I use a BT GPS receiver with my XDA II using MS BT stack. When I switch the XDA off and switch it back on I have to turn bluetooth back on and reconnect with the GPS receiver. Is there any way of keeping bluetooth on when you go into standby mode?
cant you just stop the xda from going standby ?
i mean most of those car gps thingys have power for the xda dont they ?
I won't be in a car. Walking around a city for a couple of hours - I'm going to drain the battaries too quickly.
Mine don't do that, it kept bluetooth on when I turn my XDA II off. I have a program in addition called Bluetooth Tools that automatically turn my BT off after a few seconds and turns on when I receive and make a call. I can also turn off the timer so the bluetooth stays on.
I use BTW-CE and I have the same problem. Before reinstalling this application everything was ok.
A half solution I've figured out is to create a shortcut to the bluetooth settings page - a lot of the time I can't acccess the bluetooth icon on the today screen because the input/keyboard bar is covering it (might have something to do with Fitaly). Anyway if you copy the following into a shortcut file i.e. Bluetooth.lnk:
34#\windows\ctlpnl.exe cplmain.cpl,23
you can then assign it to a hardware button
I've tried Bluetooth Tools, while it does give you a handy bluetooth icon in the middle of the today screen it doesn't stop my bluetooth from turning off in standby mode.
@markh
are you using the widcomm bt stack?
No, the microsoft one

DKToday plugin

Will this only turn on/off Bluetooth with an incoming call?
I want it to turn on/off Bluetooth for any situation when I stop/start something that needs it.
For example if BT is off, and I start ActiveSync on the XDA, BT starts automatically. But when I close AS, BT stays on.
I was hoping something like DKToday would help with this, but it only seems to work for calls.
tap the bluetooth icon and it turns bluetooth of, at least it does for me.

Enable bluetooth on incoming call

I use Tomtom frequently and use a bluetooth headset to handle my phonecalls. However when I use Tomtom, I want to hear the navigation instructions from the phone speaker and not from the headset. When I recieve or make a phonecall: vice versa.
I have come up whit a workaround solution. I use BTtoggle to turn bluetooth on while navigating if I receive a phonecall, takes some time and then anwser the phonecall through the bt headset. And then with alttab back to tomtom, so that I can see the route and calling at the same time. It's not perfect, but it does the job.
I want to have this done automatically by the phone. If I am navigating and a phonecall comes in, then the phone automatically turns on the BT, I answer the phone and tomtom remains on the screen. If i am done with the conversation, bluetooth turns off and i hear the voice from tomtom again through the phone speaker....
Does anybody know how this can be done? I have seen a Palm application which could do the trick...(by the way, it has got the same name as the bt toggle app: BTtoggle)...
Should be possible.. The only thing needed is a developer who's willing to put some effort into this.
you can use PocketZenPhone, its a profile switcher which is able to active bluetooth on incoming calls.
I am using it for years now.
I am going to look in to Pocket Zen, however do you have to change the profile manualy on incoming call or automatically?
Depending on your bluetooth headset, you can just turn it on and off. My headset has a switch, so when someone calls, I turn it on while its on my ear.
What about getting a Motorola headset with the boom that turns it on and off?

bt headset problems

I have a jade working with a BT110 it answers the call fine but after the call the headset apears to turn off which it is supposed to do but the phone thinks that it is still connected so you have to turn soft reset the phone before you can make/recive a call and hear it via the handset.
has anyone else had this problem or could it possibly be the headset rather than the phone?

My experience - I use Jabra BT. The BT does not switch off after call is disconnected, until you switch it off. And the phone always thinks that BT is on (even when the BT set is switched off) until BT is disabled using the comm function.
I tried another Jabra headset last night, and although slightly better behaved it still didn't release the phone when turned off?
does anyone use a BT headset with the jade that works properly? what are peoples experiances.
anyone know what it is about the jade that makes it not work right?
