Thiss is the ROM of my Qtek:
ROM: 1.66.00WWE

RADIO: 1.10.00
PROTOCOL: 1337.18
ExtROM: 1.66.130
I am looking for a headset that correctly works and which causes no conflicts with the Emtac Crux BT GPS receiver.
First I was intend to buy a Logitech, but I read on a dutch forum that it doesn't work fine with this ROM-version.
BTW - can I DOWNgrade a ROM ???? I dn't think so...
So, now I thougt to buy a Sony/Ericson HBH-30 or HBH-35 ???
Would this be a lucky combination ????
Hi mvb95,
I use the 172 beta ROM with an Emtac Bluetooth GPS and a Logitech bluetooth headset. No problems at all. I can Navigate using TomTom and call at the same time. TomTom will mute when I'm using the phone and will be unmuted when the phonecall has ended.
This has been working with the 160 ROM also and with an Bluetrek G2 headset and a Nokia HDW2 headset with the same GPS receiver.
The problems on thread on the Dutch site are strange and I can't reproduce them.
Hope this helps your decision.

Hi
This is my first post, so hello all.
I received my new spv-m1000 yesterday afternoon, and last night attempted to install all the software I wanted on it. Most of this went smooth but I have got a problems with bluetooth.
I’ve had an Ipaq 3870 for a few years and run tomtom with a bluetooth GPS receiver.
Problem 1
Anyway I can pair with the bluetooth gps but I cant get any nmea data from it. I can’t see any way of seeing what services are provided by the gps, and therefore can’t bind it to a serial port.
Problem 2
The unit works with my bluetooth parrot handsfree kit, but the volume is very loud, is there anyway of controlling the volume from the spv-m1000?
My ROM versions are
ROM 1.60.00WWE (12/03/03)
Radio 1.10.00
Protocol 1337.18
ExtROM 1.60.38
Thanks in advance
JustinP

Hi there,
Has anyone managed to get the hardware buttons for Camera and Record to work on an iMate PPC (PH10B).
I have managed to sucessfully load WM5.0
ROM version: 1.50f.blWWE
ROM Date: 13/05/05
Radio version: 1.14.00
Protocol version: 337.24
I have read in a copule of forums that there is an issue with the buttons mentioned above.
krazykid,
I believe buzz_lightyear is aware of this problem and has said he will release a patch to solve this byTuesday. There are other applications that can be used as a work around.
Vito Button Mapper is one of them.
buzz!!! Thanx a lot man for the first time I am able to use my XDAII as it should have been working in the first place.
Using:
Falcom NAVI-1 BT GPS
Sony Ericson HBH 600 BT Headset
Sony Ericson HBC 30 BT Carkit
Microsoft Voice Command 1.5
Handy Map 2004 se
GB-Soft GPRS Monitor
Skype
ActiveSync 4.0 USB & BT
I have recently purchased a Parrot CK3000 and a new MDA compact on T-Mobile.
At first all was fine, but after a couple of days, when you get into the car, the MDA would pair up with the Parrot but then take over the car kit as though a call is in progress. The stereo displays CALL and the music is muted. The only way to reset it is to turn the carkit off and back on again as well as the MDA.
I have hard reset the phone and the problem comes back after a coupld of pair ups.
Does anyone else have this problem, or know of a fix.
I have tested the carkit with a Nokia 6310 and it is fine, so I'm sure the problem is with the MDA compact.
I have :
Rom version 1.12.00 WWE
ROM date : 05/28/05
Radio version : 1.12.00
Protocol : 1337.42
ExtROM: 1.12.152 WWE
I noticed that Radio version 1.13.00 is out, but does this have anything to do with Bluetooth.
Parrot and T-Mobile tech support have had no luck fixing the problem.
Any help greatfully received ?
Thanks
Richard
Hi,
I have excactly the same configuration as you. I have ROM 1.12.01! Which Firmwareversion is your CK3000?
I have 1.13. The only problem with this version is a short heavy noise if i make a call. If your problem still exist after firmwareupgrade of your mda,
try to reset your CK3000 (press green and red button for few seconds)
and pair again.
Regards Yoshi
Thanks, I've just upgraded the MDA compact to Rom V1.13.00 WWE and radio 1.13.
I'll let you know if it fixes it.
Help - I have both a Qtek 9090 and a Vodafone V1620 which I use a Jabra BT250V Bluetooth headset with. I have been using all day and then all of a sudden the Bluetooth will disconnect and I can not Longer connect my headset to the PDA.
I have tried a soft reset, unpairing the headset and recreating it but nothing seems to work.
Also I have a collegue who also is having a problem where he can hear the person on the phone but they cannot hear him.
here is the Device information for both devices
Vodafone V1620
Rom Version: 1.31.00 WWE
Rom Date: 12/13/04
Radio Version: 1.12.00
Protocol Version: 1337.42
ExtRom Version: 1.31.175 WWE
Qtek 9090
Rom Version: 1.40.00 WWE
Rom Date: 03/10/05
Radio Version: 1.12.00
Protocol Version: 1337.42
ExtRom Version: 1.40.147 WWE
Does anybody have any ideas if this is the PDA's or the headsets
I just recently bought the Jabra BT250v.
The experience is that it is not as good as the previous model BT250 / BT258.
Everytime after softreset, the connection will disconect even the BT icon (not headset icon) is there.
You then have to disable the bluetooth connection and enable it to get the connection back....(softreset is not required though cause u have already done...)
Hope this help..
Cheers,
Just to clarify, is your device (v1620) a Universal? Isn't it supposed to be the v1640? Here in spain it's called the v1640 but not sure from where you are.
If it is a Universal, pls post your POWER settings when running on Battery.
I have a MDA Pro with a benq-siemens BT headset and am having the same problems. My MDA seems to switch off BT after a call.
my power settings are that the phone shuts off when not used for 3 minutes. Does anybody have a solution?
After trying at least 10 different conbinations of rom/bt stack/patch, finally get bt GPS and A2DP headset to co-exist on my XDA II. I want to thank the brains of this forum...
BTW, Here is the first impression:
1.A2DP functioning well.
2.AVRCP also works!
3.Sound quality is great, no dropping/cut-off.
4.Machine is a bit slower when streaming music.
5.Occational re-bonding of the BT GPS receiver needed, but painless, takes less than a minute.
Still enjoying/testing...
I'm using i-Mate PPCPE (XDA II), Moto HT-820 headset, Belkin(Fortuna?) BT GPS receiver. WM5 ROM 2.01a.32WWE (dl from buzzdev), Radio 1.18.00...
Thanks again guys!
WOW, please tel us how?
Hello cpz21,
I have been searching for a solution for awhile now and keep hitting brick walls.
Could you please tell us the method and sources you used.
I am in need of Bonding my Imate xdaii to my Blueant x5 Headset and from my understanding I need a whole lot of upgrades to do so.
My specs are;
I-mate xdaii
PPC Version 4.20.0
ROM Version 1.66.00WWE
Radio Version 1.10.00
Can this be done?
Thanks

If you only need stereo headset, ROM1.72WWE will be okay, just install widcomm BT stack (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=11729&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=73), you don't need wm5.
If you have BT GPS as well, you need to upgrade to wm5, everything works; or you can use xda2jojo's WM2003seUpgrade (http://forum.xda-developers.com/vie...days=0&postorder=asc&highlight=2003se&start=0), but you have to switch between MS BT stack and wicomm BT stack to use stereo headset and GPS.
good luck.
