could someone give me a link to the Bootloader 5.15 or 5.17? My E-Mail: [email protected] . I need this becouse I think I´ve got a crashed Wallaby with 32MB RAM (English T-Mobile Version) and I gave it the 5.22 Bootloader from another Wallaby with 64 MB RAM (German Version of T-Mobile). I´ve got the damn GSM Error post at the Bootloader startup. So maybe it is becouse of a german, and newer Bootloader version. So if somebody could PLEASE MAIL ME A Wallaby A LINK WHERE TO DOWNLOAD THE BOOTLOADER (or give a post where I can download it) I would be very thankful!

I could offer you a 5.22 bootloader.
I don´t believe that you´re problem is because of using the 5.22 bootloader from a german device on an english device.
Have you done a Radio Stack Upgrade that failed? If it´s a new device, have you already contacted your service provider? Had the same problem (GSM Error) about 1 1/2 Years ago, and O2 had changed the device without any problems...
If you want to try my 5.22 bootloader, give me a PM, and i´ll sent it to you....

Hi mate, but why would anyone be interesrted in 5.22 knowing it doesn't recognize ROMs on SD cards ? ... is there a fix for this issue ?
I´ve got no problem with ROMS on SD-Cards or something... but I dont know something about a fix...
You haven´t got a copy of your Wallaby Bootloader for me? ^^

Is there any Way to change the Bootloader from my Wallaby?
My Problem: I´ve got two Wallaby´s. One is a German T-Mobile with 64 MB RAM and is running without problems. But the other one is a USA T-Mobile Pocket PC Phone Editon. A friend gave it to me becouse he had tried to install a German T-Mobile ROM on it and it crashed during the update. So I´ve made a copy from my working one (Bootloader Method ROM + Bootloader to SD) and took it on the other one. Now the english one is very slow and it say´s "GSM Error" at the Bootloader. Does anybody know how to fix this GSM-Error? My thouht is that both have the Wallaby Bootloader V5.22 but I don´t know if the english one had the same version Number before my SD-Update (remember: I´ve made a copy, ROM + Bootloader on SD from the working one)
So is there a way to overwrite the newer Bootloader Version with an older one? I think it could be possible, but where can I get the ROM-File?

I´ve already read this, but there is no answer on "where can i get a Bootloader ROM" I think one of my many problems could be that I´ve borrowed the Boot ROM from a german device which has different Frequency Bands. I think that if i could get a english (us) Wallaby ROM then maybe I´ve had a chance...
Does anybody now has a solve for this "GSM Error" thing I would be VERY pleased becouse I´m working on this buggy PocketPC for 3 Days (and Nights)?
The only advantage of this is that my english is getting better becouse of writing these questions ^^ (Yes Folks, I DO KNOW that my english is horrible, but hey: It can´t be more worse 8) )

if you are having gsm errors maybe you want to try and upgrade the
radio stack do a search in the forum plenty of people describe issues with upgrading and downgrading and ... of the radio stack
there are also posts where people talk about upgrading and downgrading the bootloaders maybe they have a source of those bootloaders they are trying to switch between

Is it possible that some "smart" person who owns an Orbit (UK model) extracts its ROM and makes is possible to load it to another Orbit in Bootloader mode?
Or can someone tell me how to clear the CID in Bootloader mode, so I can flash my Orbit with a Dopod or p3300 rom.
FYI: My Orbit can only boot on Bootloader mode because I was stupud to flas it with the PDAMobiz rom.....

U can make your Artemis(orbit) superCID only with IMEICHECK.co.uk for 20GBP. But u can flash there tmouk rom i guess even if its still cid locked. this rom is in one of threads arte-unlock,upgrade. BTW ibet u tryied pdamobiz customized. Im I right? this one ****ing rom has some big troubles, try lite or powermap version
Υes i agree... Try Lite or PowerMap Version... The customized is not working at least at most of us... For the T-mobile ROM search this thread
I know about Imei-check solution, but it can only be done when your Orbit/Artemis functional. Mine isn't. Is stops/hangs at het splashscreen.
My only hope is when either Imei-ckeck or some other programmers software can do its job in the Bootloader menu.
Or O2 UK / Germany has to release a Rom specific for the Orbit so that you do'nt get the message "bad vendor-id"
BTW I messed my Orbit up with the Powermap rom...
try tmouk rom. it might work even w/o ur pda beeing SuperCID. Better try first. It works directly from bootloader

I've heard that there's a dopod test-rom out there that does'nt verify the vendor id. Who knows where to download it???
Or can I use a "cracked" ROMUpdateUtility.exe?? Is it already out there??

hi I've tested a new powermap.exe dopod rom but after reboot my O2 still freez on boot screen (I can see only O2 boot screen with radio and rom version), so I can't connect my Orbit in windows mode, only in IPL boot (via usb) but I've this error when lounch any rom:
INVALID MODEL ID ,with any original rom
INVALID UPDATE TOLL ,with any modified for imeicheck upgrade

If you had unlocked your Device with IEMI Check, and everything was fine, and you sure that your device is now CID unlocked, than try T-Mobile original ROM (should help) IF not? So ... Welcome Here

That's strange... I thought that you should be able to flash any ROM after unlocking, not just the original German one. Maybe something went wrong during unlocking? I suggest that you send an email to those guys from imei-check, maybe they can offer you a solution.

you only can get it back to life with an O2-XDA-German-ROM (which odes not exist right now).
The other option is to send the device to repair (service centre).
The unlocker can NOT work in case your device has a malfunction (it is described in DETAIL that the unlocker requires a working ActiveSync connection on the our web site where you purchase the unlock).

do you know where is the TM shipped rom? I have O2 Orbit and originary was GERMAN rom...

It is posible only if your Device is CID unlocked ... If not ... only service or imei-check...

I apologize for you. My orbit was originary German and locked, so I'm unlocked it with imeicheck utility, so I was installed a HTC wwe ship rom. And yesterday I has a problem with powermap rom. Now I've solved with TMobile rom, I don't know if working because my Orbit was CID unlocked (I belive no, because if now i try to install htc wwe ship rom I've wrond ID error message..) Do you have try to install via bootloader mode? enter in bootloader, so double click on tmobile rom.

2 jokkk3r im using dopod shipped, im quite happy. its +-new dev. it'll take some time till here will be some roms or at least tools for cooking them.but most im waiting for is extrom unlocker like is for universal,thar U can use it like a storage

I thought I did not unlock CID before flashing your Herald (it is HTC or Dopod or ???). Until now the best way to rescue it is bringing your PPC to the service.
But before doing this you can do some following action:
- Remove the battery for about 20 min and put it again.
- Hard reset.

Herald is no dead as the bootloader is still there.U need to flash the original OS by putting Herald into bootloader mode.It will b alive again.

NOT, devices mostly get bricked because they are not CID unlocked. So the phone will only allow to flash the ORIGINAL language and ROM version etc.. good luck ya'll, by the way my Herald is dead too, so join the club
there is not a way to edit the image so to keep CID control away?
Is it possible to uncid the phone via USB bootloader mode?

As far as I know (or what the XDA-dev forum can do) there is no utility for Removing and/or replacing the CID lock. There is imei-check.co.uk, but some people are having problems with that prog, and it can only be used when your device has OS running and ActiveSymc is connected, sorry pal

I think the codes e.g. d2s 80000000 02000000 are indeed only for the XDAII, i think the 80000000 is the location of the image storend on the ROM of the phone, so we need to have the codes for the locations of the images.
But i just thought of the flashing of Herald using the SD card.. I believe it can only flash SIGNED nbh files, but i'm not sure.. Could someone who's a die hard please help out, with this way we could unbrick devices with ROM dumps from someone else

We can't just upload a ROM, it is very very hard to find! Try to search for yourself!It took me 3 google and torrent days to find a german ROM (accidentally)

Just for the info: i tried the original nbh from the german RUU to flash my terra from SD card. But no success. Still vender error
