so I've had a recent problem with my TyTN, and I'd like to avoid a hard reset if possible. Whenever I make a call, or recieve a call, my phone cycles through Outlook/text message/mms a couple times. I then have to close it out and go back to call status.
Now, this isn't really a problem or anything because I'm usually, you know, talking when this happens, but in the off chance I need to go to my contacts or whatever its becoming a pain. Anyone had this problem before? If so, did a hard reset fix it?
bump, any ideas?

Just to rule out a physical cause - it's not possible the messaging hard key is getting pressed?? repeated touches on this key cycles the messaging accounts. Alternatively the messaging key has not been reset to some other key by any chance?
Mike
Same problem with messaging cycle
Man I thought I was the only one with this Problem. I tried every thing, flash ROM HTC 1.35 Dopod 1.23 & 1.30 and reflash the original Rom, NOTHING its still doing it. The worst part is that for some reasons its doing it more often, before it was only on receiving and making a call, now it does it anytime.
Please, please can someone tell me what its going on with my Trion.
Thanks very much!!!
Give us a list of software / tweaks you've installed on your device... Something in the list might be conflicting with something else.
Alternatively, is the hardware key sticky or maybe otherwise damaged (has it been dropped on the key perhaps? The contact could be physically damaged.)
Thanks Christopher,
I didn't drop the unit, or damage it in any ways. I tried to use it without any program right after flashing ROM 1.35 and 1.30 and it still does messaging cycle. It seems like everytime the phone connect to a tower or have any wireless connection with sever the problem happens.
Please tell me if you need any more info?
Thanks
hello, i hope someone can help me, i was playing with my exec earlier, getting ready to upgrade the rom, so for a first experiment i loaded it up into bootloader mode, but when i reset back to normal, when i click on the start menu instead of a bleep, it makes like a clicky noise and when i select something of the list like 'programs' or 'settings' it makes like a farty click noise? how can i fix this? all other sounds seem to be ok, the voice activation words i have programed seem a bit croaky too, i dont wanna flash the new rom incase i have to return the unit to the shop, but im thinking maybe flashing a new rom will fix this problem!!
any ideas anyone??
has no one experienced this problem? ok then if i upgrade to wm6 will i be able to put it back to original rom if it doesnt work, so i can return it to the shop for a new phone!?
Hi
I have being using the HP6915 for a while now. Recently, it seems that I am getting a lot of Mic/Speakerphone feedback (echo). This sort of feedback is when you point a mic to a speaker and get those loud echos and such.
I am not sure if this is a hardware problem or software though I have hard reset my phone and the same thing is still happening.
I have also tried both using a headset as well as a Blue tooth but the problem still persist.
Warranty is over thus I am at a loss. Has anyone encountered a similar problem before?
Appreciate the help. Feeling quite lost without a Windows Mobile now.
Cheers
hello zakyn
to solve your problem ,all you have to do is to flash your device like me i upgraded with the french rom on Orange from the link graciously given by Donoven in the thread here is the link :
http://www.mobilite.fr.orange-business.com/public/oev4/html/fr/pme/mobiles/ba/dl.php?mi=192&pi=2510:)
many thanks to Donoven
Thanks to everyone's help.
I flashed the phone to the UK Rom and it is working now! After being down for over 3 months
Now just wondering what is inside the Orange Rom which some folks are praising.
Would like to know what some apps/software you guys are in everyone's most popular apps.
I'm currently using HTC Hom Customizer + HTC Home Plugin
Cheers
over the past few weeks some of the buttons (namely left soft key, up and left) have stopped working, i've tried numerous roms just incase but it's definatley a hardware issue, now, i've dismanted the phone using the diamantos guide to see if anything jumps out at me, gave the phone a damn good cleaning whilst i had the chance, put it back together....but nothing, everything seems to be in order, all components in their rightful place but i still cant work it out, does anyone know if this is a common problem or if theres a fix as i've been unsuccessful in my searches.
actually, i just found the solution and it worked a treat, thanks anyway people.
btw, if anyone would like to know what i did then i'll be more than happy to share the solution.
hello,
I'm having exactly the same button problems you 've mentioned in your post. Would you please explain how you managed to solve the issue?
P.S: I am a real newbe, so please try to be the most explicite you can.
thanks in advance.
Here is my email: [email protected]

I'm beginning to experience the same symptoms. I would be most grateful if you could publish the solution, or at least the link for an eventually already published solution.
Thank you very much in advance.
here ya go http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=603960 check out my other post.
Hi all, I've been searching XDA-Dev for a while looking for someone with the same issue, and although I've found similar issues, nothing really helped much...
A few days back, my HTC Touch (ELF) started playing up a bit; the touch screen alignment was a fraction out, not too bad, just irritating. When I tried to re-align the screen (Start > Settings > Screen > Align), it showed the alignment screen with the + symbol. I went through the taps, and after the final tap it's supposed to go back to the 'Screen' settings window, but instead the re-alignment process starts all over again. It got stuck in an endless loop.
I thought a hard reset would fix it, so after backing up all my data I tried it. I still have the same issue, but now I can't get past the alignment screen during the initial device setup, so I can't use it at all..
Just to give a brief run-down, here is what I tried (in this order):
Re-align - No luck, got stuck in an endless loop.
Hard reset - still stuck at the alignment screen.
Re-flash Onyx 6 R10 ROM - same problem.
Try flash different ROM (Onyx 6 R11) - same problem.
Tried re-flashing HardSPL 2.28 - same problem.
Tried installing different version of HSPL (tried 2.26 and 3.10) - SPL doesn't change, problem persists.
I'm going mad trying to figure out what would cause this, I haven't dropped my phone or had it anywhere near liquid or large magnets, so I doubt it's a hardware problem. But at the same time; if it is a software issue, why doesn't re-flashing Onyx ROM fix the issue?
If somebody could help me with trying to get my HSPL replaced, that should either fix it or at least rule out one possible problem.
Anybody got some ideas...?

Its hardware - your digitiser needs replacing. You can run msp_remotealignment which may help push it through.
Better idea yet, use the search feature, there has been a few of these recently which have all teh information you would need.
For HSPL, look in the rom section and post in the right thread for help with that I guess.

Hmmm... I was really hoping that wasn't the case, I don't have money for repairs right now. But thanks for the insight.

As I said in my opening post, I did search and found quite a few similar issues, but nothing exactly the same as mine.

And yeah, I'll try there (again). Only reason I asked here was in case the problems were software related, and if so that was one part of my device that I couldn't change for some reason.
Well, since I can't seem to find any more helpful information, in the mean time I've ordered a new digitizer... Once it arrives, I'll replace that and see if that was the actual cause of my problems.
if you get stuck dissambling, theres the guide in the rom section I think - its very detailed and should help.
Sorry i couldn't be much use, Its hard to be when at work.

Thanks, I do remember seeing that guide a while back and (ironically) thinking to myself "I hope I never have any need to do that"... And don't worry, I know what you mean; I'm at work as well. I don't have internet at home unfortunately, so at work is the only place I can really get online.
For the sake of anybody else that has the same problem as what I described here: replacing the digitizer worked perfectly for me, I got my phone up and running again last night. This would've all been done a lot sooner, but I was struggling to find the right screw driver to dismantle it (requires a Torx T5)...
awesome, glad you got it all fixed now
