Hello,
During the upgrading of my radio stack active sync went dead.
---> dead XDA 1
Bootloader seems OK but reports a GSM error and doesn't go any further.
Does anyone have a radio stack update I can use to flash from a SD card ?
great many thanks !
this happened to me also, i would be interested if you can repair it..

I recently tried installing the SER 1.2 and it crashed becuase I have 10B and not 10A and all I get now is the upgrading screen and I can get the wallaby Bootloader to come up too. I am trying to upgrade this so I can unlock the SIM so i can use T Mobile instead of AT&T. I need to know what ROM to use to restore it, and if putting it on the SD card and sticking it in and turning on the Wallaby bootlaoder will allow me to reflash it and with the lastest WinCE 4.2 if possible and also does this allow me to use SDIO compliant cards after the upgrade as i know the stock SX56 does not support SDIO as I was told. Please help me out I am fairly new at tinker with toys like this but it really intrigues me
Thanks

Major problem with O2 upgrade. Can anyone help with recovering my O2 XDA.
I downloaded the OS and Radio Stack files from the O2 website (And read the instructions first)
Radio_Unit_Upgrade_v31703.exe
Radio_Stack_Upgrade_v421.zip
The Radio_Unit_Upgrade_v31703 went like a dream, no prob what so ever.
Once i had completed that, reset up the active sync connection i decided on the Radio Stack update - !! Disaster !!
After the reboot all i get on the screen are lines jumping about.
No number of soft or cold boots will bring it back to life.
The device is still recognised by active sync.
I have tried rerunning the Radio_Unit_Upgrade_v31703. This seems to work without hitch from the PC end. Only that the required cold boot of the XDA returns the same jumpy liney screen.
I did take an SD backup of the system before any changes were made.
Can some kind soul please help me dig myself and my only recently aquired XDA toy back out from this hole.
The model is an PW10A1
Did the radio stack upgrade complete? What happens when you try to flash the radio stack 4.21 again? Have you removed the sim card? Corrupt radio stacks are often a non reversable problem, if the xda is under warranty you might get a replacement from O2, after all it was their program that knackered the device.
Try this: Remove sim, Fully charge battery, soft reset, connect to activesync, run upgrade for radio stack again, follow instructions from there.
I have upgraded to WM2003SE ROM, and upgraded Radio ROM to A20.10. My device is PH10A. But when I insert a sim card, these always no GSM, I could not dial any phone call.
Could anyone tell me that I should flash which Radio ROM to my device? Thanks
problem connecting to any network after radio upgrade
Hi,
I am having the same problem connecting to any cell network on my phone. It is a Qtek 1020 PW10A1 Rom version 4.02.04 ENG.
The problem started after updating the Radio stack software. The signal icon always shows up as no signal, this happens on all networks. I have another 1020 with the same Rom version but a different radio version A33.02 that is working. I have tried to search for this version to download or a solution for this problem for a few days now with no luck and was wondering if any one could help?
I have come across many other radio versions that say they are compatible with this model but each produce the same result, no signal.
Thanks in advance
(PS this is my first post!)
Hi Shadow,
I also have a 1020 with RSU 33.02 installed. If I knew how to extract the RSU then I could upload it here. It could do with being on the FTP. I didn't find anything on the Wiki about it, wondering if anyone has any suggestions?
Regards,
Neil.
I’m new to this so this may be wrong but I have found out that if I go into the wallaby boot loader and push the contacts button I get these options:
CE ROM TO SD
BOOT TO SD
GSM ROM TO SD
CE+GSM TO SD
Is the “GSM ROM TO SD” option the one that’s needed to be able to get the RSU extracted or is this something completely different?
When I select it, it tells me to connect the rs232 and run pc monitor – two things I don’t have.

Anyone found RSU 33.02 rom yet? or have any sugestions on how i could fix my phone :?:
Thanks
Hi there, i have an magician and it had a reception problem.. i found a possible solution for it!.. what i exedantly discovered was that if you update your radio rom to 1.13.00. and put you sd card out your phone and turn it on you get greaat reception.. it worked with me so go ahead and try!
Hi.
Well this is the problem. I have a sx66 and no mather wath radio version i flash., no mather how many times i run the xdadev_all_unlock-v1.6 and xdadev_all_unlock-v1.5 it stills locked.
When i run the xdadev_all_unlock-v1.6 is shows that the cellphone is unlocked but when i place my sim card it stills say “invalid sim card”, i tried with ten sim in while running the program and with the sim out as well and its the same.
I repeat the unlocking process with all radio versions from R_1.06.02 to Radio_1.15 type I and II, and again “invalid sim card”.
Oh yea and i read all the wiki and all the threads, maybe i lost something.
Can someone help me please???
Thts the end of the line my friend..i too had a similar problem with my Hima..unfortunately i had to replace it
Have you tried flashing back to WM2003?
Upgrade the Radio to 1.15
then upgrade to WM5/6
Regards
David
I had a similar (not the same though) problem in the past: what I suggest is that you go back to WM2003 (you'll hopefully find out that your fone is unlocked), then upgrade your radio to 1.15 and you can upgrade to WM5/6/6.1 (as you wish)...
Hope this helps
