i flashed my xda 1 with a t-mobile rom and now it wont connect to my pc so i want to revert back but i cant using the installer method, how do i install a new rom using the sd card method?
What do you mean when you say it wont connect to your pc, do you get errors in activesync or is it not recognised at all?
i mean wen trying to reflash using a older rom (ppc 2003 4.11) it says the mobile device is not connected, how do i flash with the sd card and reader

wallaby usb flashing
hi there ,,can anyone tell why when i enter usb flash mode i cant flash via it wheni try to run a upgrade program it says plug in yor pda and on the pda screen all i get is usb flash mode,,connect usb cable now... but it is lso in my device manager i see my pda as a windows ce devices so what the hell is going on ?
pls dont tell me only way is via sd card surely it can be done via usb lead if so please can some post a step by step on how to flash via usb as i did so already from pc2002 to win2003 using the rom from xda developers and now i get a logo Ozup and underneath says ,,this os image is meant for microsoft employees or technicians bla bla bla
but i can enter boot loader fine access all the menus in bootloder my bootloder version is v5.15
pleaaaase someone help me
There are two possibilities to flash a device:
1. In Bootloader via SD Card
2. Normal booted device via Active Sync
But i do not know what you mean with USB Flash Mode

i have a big problem and i think your the only person who can help me my problems occured when i went to flash my wallaby device with this rom ftp://xda:[email protected]_ENG.exe/
i wish i never bothered the device was perfectly running fine until i flashed it with this via usb it all was a succes when i done a hard reset i got a screen with a oz up logo and underneath it says "microsoft internal use only" this operating system image is meant for use only by microsoft employees and contractors ,,and the crazy thing is i cannot enter my bootloader which was v5.15 so i can flash it via sd card its vanished no bootloader only that screen and on the bottom right corner it says ,,g32s54,v4.08,3.04 when i plug it in usb all i get is a unknown device and i cannot flash it so please if there is a way even if its pretty technical i would be honoured if you can help me out i would be very grateful if u cn show me a way of getting the bootloader back many thanks

don't use the 4.16 use the rs 4.21 when i did the upgrade i was then able to connect to active sync then changed the rom try the special rom 1.2

mate the problem i have is that i cant acces the bootloader for me to do anything its gone and this happened after using that dodgy rom
all i want to no is there a way of putting back the bootloader on to the device as its not there its been somehow erased after the flash i done
mate if you try what i said to try this should help you to connect your phone back to your pc then you can change the rom from there you shold get bootloader back when you put a new rom on

Use the sd card method. My phone will not connect to active sync via USB, so i flash with the sd card. IMHO this method is safer and faster. Since you are stuck in bootloader, transfer files with a card reader from your pc, put the card back in the phone then soft reset. All should be good. Maybe once you re-flash you will get your active sync back.

I have just bought a singapore Sim locked handset .. I need to Flash a english rom and unlock it .. i have downloaded the rom the Hard spl but before that i was trying to update using SEUS but it went to the bootloader mode and itdetected the drivers then suddenly says one of the usb is malfunctioned and cannot reconize the device now i have tried 3 systems but nogo...i need help to get hardspl installed without using the usb port and a computer and then i can flash a eng rom on it using msd card.. and i have tried hard reset/chking in bootloader mode/and active sync also not working

clear ..... Enable advanced network funcionality
(Clear this check box if Activesync does not recognize the device)

Hi all,
I just did my first experiment at cooking a ROM (did some tweaking and built the ROM) using OS Kitchen. After I copied the ROM to my phone using ROM Update utility, the phone is stuck at this screen:
"Preparing the phone for first use. The Today screen....etc etc"
I am now not able to establish an active sync connection to my PC in order to load a new ROM. What can I do? Pls help...

Whew!!! Got it working. For a moment, I thot I had bricked my phone. These r the options I considered:
a) Booting the phone using the mini sd card. I guess one has to use Gold Card for that but I didnt have a mini sd card reader on my PC in the first place so that option was out.
b) Next I read in the forums abt starting the phone in boot loader mode, and this is what finally worked. It seems, as an alternative to getting an activesync connection, one can connect the phone to the PC using USB and then start in bootloader mode (by pressing vol down and end call). This way, a connection via USB is established between ur phone and PC. Now flashing any ROM is just a cinch using stock roms or custom roms (using the custom RUU)

Today i have tryed to flash a new CWM on my HD2.
But i get always an error "USB init. Failed" so i've searched in google an in this forum for an solution but i haven't find any.
I've tryed to flash CWM in Bootloader mode but my pc's (2 XP ones and 1 Win7) don't detect my phone.

Can anybody help me.I have MAGDLR and the Bootloader installed by a previous chap who owned the phone, all the correct versions. THe phone HD2 (T-Mobile), when I got it, had Gingerbread on,but the FM radio was not working,
so I thought an Upgrade was in order. I went to the MIUI website and downloaded the latest stable rom and followed the instructions as best as possible, but I had problems with the
Bootloader going from Serial to USB and being able to flash the rom like that. I then tried the loading the rom ZIP file to the SD card, and then using Clockwork orange recovery to
to install the ZIP file from SD card. That being said, I rebooted and the phone just stayed hung on the HTC logo screen. (And I didn't do a back up, before I started.)
I eventualy found a Jaws MIUI rom, that instaling via Clockwork Orange, worked, but it is Froyo and not a lot of stuff works very well. What is the correct procedure to install
from SD card, with Clockwork Mod Recovery? The Roms that I download, do I have to unpack the zip, do something on the files? I have read that depending on the rom that you have, when
doing a ClockWorkMod Recovery installation, that you need to have the right Size partition or image disk version of the Clockwork recovery MOD, But I can't swap and change this as my USB does not work between the phone and the PC.
I have installed active sysnc, does not work and I have tried this both on my Desktop and Laptop. As the one response suggests, Formatting your PC seems a bit extreme.

try with another usb cable
After many tests with other PC´s and USB cables and different Windows / Linux installations I have noticed that my phone doesn't charge -.-
I think its an Hardware Porblem of my Phone. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Usb port is gone on your phone get it replaced.
