hi supergrobie,
does your bootloader still work, because mine does not and it sounds like you have a similar problem to mine.
Rico
No
at this minutes my xda lives again!!
I've not overwrite my bootloader and with xdarit (old)
XDA Def. V1.2 is on my xda
I've no problems know...
Thanx XDA developer...
I save my dead Xda !!!
When I was upgrading to 2003 thru the boot loader, my xda was "dead", no respond with hot or cold reset. No bootloader also. By accident, I hold the power button and pust the cold reset button (small hole), then I push the power button again, the boot loader was back !
I retry the PC2003 again and my xda was dead again. I repeated the sequence and the bootloader works again. I then downloaded the zip version from Jeff site, and PC2003 come to life. I guess the full .exe version some how hangs the xda but the zip version works.
I am not sure what I did make any sense, I reapeted 3X in all, may be it is helpfull !

Hi,
I tried to update Radio Stack on my O2 xda ... After confirming to copy files needed to upgrade my xda restarted and began to upgrade. Suddenly it asked me for the my Pin SIM Card and then hanged !
My bootmenu in ver. 5.15 is accessible, but it shows Gsm Error.
I have also another O2 Xda and I tried to copy through Bootloader "WinCe + Boot to SD" from good xda and restore on my "broken" xda.
But the problem is still ...
I don't have a serial cable to copy&restore "GSM to SD".
How can I repair my O2 Xda ? Is there any way ?
O2 XDA doesn't work after radio stack update
Hi,
I am new owner of O2 Xda and have the same problem.
Maybe anyone help Us ...
I am waiting for the solution and very special thanks for fast reply.
Hi there
Try to execute the file on your device \\Windows\RSUpgrade.exe. After executing it flashes the radio ROM. If it works, you have the old (but the working) version.
I did this and I could switch back to the previous Radio Stack version.
Good Luck!
I cannot do nothing on my xda, because after turning it on I have white screen with "blue line" on the top.
Your xda is toast. Ring O2 and get it replaced under warranty.
I tried to downgrading my MDA from 3.17 (with the latest RSU as well) to 3.14 but suddenly the connection between PC and MDA was failed and the MDA cannot connect to the PC again. The ROM downloading scheme was on the scheme so I then hard reset the MDA to see whether I can get back my OS.
No...it didn't, it just shows some lines on the scheme and no matter how many times I hard reset it, still not working. So I think my MDA is dead now.
Can you still enter the Bootloader mode?
(Hold power button while soft-resetting...)
Unfortunately not.
It only appears 2 empty boxes and a lot of horizontal lines.
Thats the end of this two month's old machine.

Use the SD-card method to get back up and running. See here for details.

My bootloader version is 5.17. Will running the xdatools against this version ok? Because I read on your site that there's some issues with the 5.17 and up version. Thanks again for the quick reply.
I read a information from http://xda-developers.com/XDAtools/ as below:
"Presently, XDAtools deals with the ROM of the PDA side of your device only, it does not allow you to do anything to do with phone ROM upgrades (which are also called 'Radio Stack Upgrades' or RSU)."
If XDAtools doesn't support phone ROM, how we can re-flash the phone ROM by bootloader v5.17?
Thanks !
I was under the (possibly mistaken) impression this was a ROM problem. If not, the bootloader method will not help (but it won't make things worse either). We have no means of helping people with RSU problems. A number of fixes exist, and from the looks of it, each of these fixes helps a subset of the people in trouble, so try whatever fixes float around in this forum, I guess...
Sorry...
That's OK... thanks XDA developer Peter Poelman for quick reply !
I got one more question, how I can flash the CE ROM from bootloader v5.17 using XDATool. Because, I would like to flash back to O2 xda original PPC2002 before go there for repair.
p.s. I got the original ROM v3.17.3 from Jeff's kitchen and XDATool with Card Reader.
How I can use the SD method to flash back my xda to original PPC2002 ?
Thanks again !
My O2 XDA is quite old and I have been running a revised WM 2003 ROM 4.01.16 Eng with radio 4.21 for ages.
I want to put back the original rom but can’t get to the bootloader! I have tried every combo of Soft reset and Hard while holding down the power button excreta but noting. What am i doing wrong ? I have a ROM made by XDAtools (i thnk its ok)

Using activesyn?
Harry, have you tried using the bootloader patch in xdatools, if you have xdatools installed, go to start on your desktop then programs/xdatools. An option to fix broken bootloader should be there.

I had a similar problem in that there was an error during flashing. With the expert help of Lumpistefan, I was able to revive my dead Wallaby!! If you can get to the bootloader screen and it says GSM ok, I believe you can save it. You have to download XDATools as well as the ROM version you want to run. (I chose the special developers ROM as it had the auto sim unlock feature during cold boot). Once you have the ROM saved somwhere on your PC then you open the XDA tools (OSI Image tool) and use the .NB or .NB1 file as your source and select your SD card as the destination. Select copy. Once the files have been copied insert the SD card into your wallaby perform a soft reset (power button+soft reset button) and if everything went well you will be prompted to upload the rom. press the action button or center of the key and you should be good to go. Hope this helps and once again very, very special thanks to Lumpistefan for his patience and help!!
