Hey everyone.
I've followed the guides on trinityguides, installed Olipro's Hard-SPL 1.2, installed new radio, and then proceeded to install a new rom with WM 6.1. Since it hung on startup, i've tried a different rom, but with similar results. Then i tried to make a hard reset to see if it helped, but still freezes.
I've wanted to restore the original rom, but now i can't get into bootloader!! I can get into the hard reset menu, but if i hold the buttons to get into the loader, nothing happens!! I've searched a bit around the foruns, and read to leave the phone without battery for a week and try again, just did that and didn't help...
I'm really out of ideas. Did i kill the device? Is there anything that can be done? All i can do now is turn it on, shows some windows loading screen and nothing happens.
*EDIT - When the screen dims down, does any button work to light it up? I've noticed that when i press the camera button it doesnt light up, but it does with every other button, including the screen... Maybe its just the camera button that got stuck/broken? Anyway to "unstuck" it/check it?
I opened up the phone, and the camera button was indeed broken. I soldered it back into the motherboard and it's working.
Hello xda people!!
After updating to 3.2.1 my 16 GB TF, I discovered having problems when trying to start the tablet in totally off mode, screen gets totally black but the system seems loading in background, after a while, I can push power button and the screen goes on, when I need to unlock screen to start working
I did a factory reset, turn on the tablet, left in standby mode and then, push the power button and nothing happens: screen dark, no matter how many times I pushed the button, so, I need to get pressed, power off and start again...
You're having problems like that because of the update? My tablet is broken and need fix?
I have restarted my tablet tree or four times after updating, bith before and after a factory reset, and haven't experienced this issue. Maybe a power button issue? Or just a SW issue. You could try flashing a custom ROM and see if the bug is still there.
Regards.
I have seen several threads with issues similar to mine; however, none with this exact issue. Everyone seems to be running into trouble trying to install updates or flash the unit. This is not what happened in my case. I bought this Android Head Unit on Ebay a few months ago. It has been working just fine until a few days ago. It gave me an error message about "tw has stopped" or something similar. All I could do was press "ok" over and over again. It just kept popping back up. So, I left it alone, got where I was going and turned the car off. When I turned the car back on all the unit would do was either show a white screen, a screen with multi colored lines, or the boot up logo (Toyota symbol in my case) and then back to the white or multi-colored screen. It has gone to the "Android" logo a couple of times; however, never gets past that point. I hear static. That's it. I put a CD in and it ate it. Won't give it back. I've pressed the reset button. It just loops back to the blank screen with static. Sometimes it will boot all the way to the Android logo but no further. Most of the time the backup camera is not working. If the bootup gets to the Android screen, the backup camera will work. I emailed the Ebay seller and they said they were going to send me a file. When I asked when they were going to send me a file they said "Hello Friend, the Android 6.0 update is not ready yet". I emailed again and asked if they could just send me a file to restore the current version. I'm kinda stuck until they send me a file I guess. I don't really know exactly what version I have on there now. 4.4 I think; however, I know there is a lot more to it than that. I wish I'd made a restore file (if that's even possible). Also, there are no instructions as to how to get it to boot into recovery mode. I've tried lots of combinations of buttons, but I'm really just shooting in the dark here. Any helpful information anyone might have would be appreciated. I really have come to depend on the Navi and other functions. This unit fits right in my car and looks really slick. I was really enjoying having it until it quit working....
I only use my S4 to listen to Spotify and Podcast, no other apps are present. I use it until I the replacement Headphone thingy comes for my Nexus 5x.
It's my old phone and it worked great until yesterday when my screen went completely pink and then my phone restarted. Now it's stuck on the first logo screen.
Not the Samsung animated logo screen, but the very first completely white text Samsung Galaxy S4 logo, I can't post pictures.
I am using a Cyanogenmod Rom because of the memory leak bug on stock rom.
I can't boot to recovery because it just boots for few seconds, then shuts off, vibrates 2 times and goes back into the boot screen where it's stuck.
The vibration thing happens everytime I try to boot the phone. The logo comes up, it shuts down, vibrates twice and then it gets stuck on the logo indefinitely.
I can boot to Download Mode and I can't boot to Safe Mode.
Any ideas what I could do? I really want to listen to stuff again.
Could be a power button issue. Open the phone, clean the power button contacts with a bit of pure alcohol, quickly press and release the power button several times in a row using a bit more pressure than usual, reassemble the phone, and see if it works.

It's still stuck the same way.
When I got to the Recovery Screen once, the screen turned yellow and phone restarted.
The power button may need to be replaced. Do you have a multimeter to test the connections?
@audit13: I've got a feeling the power button isn't his issue. On a properly working S4 the screen wouldn't flash a particular color before rebooting. Given that this happened to him suddenly, I think he has an issue with the SoC itself.

I have a almost dead S4 i9515 model here, it stopped working.
Here at home I plugged it in and it vibrated continue and nothing more.
Tried a couple of times to go to recovery (unrooted, so the standard recovery) and one time I got a Samsung logo with something blue in the top left side of the screen and nothing else.
Cleaned the power button and started the phone and got the Samsung boot logo, but it got stuck in the logo loop.
How can I check the power button with a multimeter? Is there a trick to get to the connectors?
You need to remove the back frame to access the power button connectors. There should be there of them. Without the power button pressed, touch the probe across the outer two and see if there is any current being passed.

Will try it this weekend, if it is the button I will just take it out, and try it that way till I get a new button.
Thanks for the tip!
Well, the button was not the problem, see next post
While starting it won't pass the Samsung logo boot,
while starting via recovery (power, home vol-up) I still won't pass the Samsung logo screen, but now with the message in the top left screen 'Recovery Booting...'
It's dead I believe, the power button is okay, but after a few difficult boots, it wouldn't pass the Samsung logo.
But now it doesn't respond at all anymore.
Is there a way to access this phone?
Via adb or Odin? I don't think so, if the phone doesn't startup I can't do anything...?
It is bye S4 I guess...
I am blocked here too with a GT-I9506, and can't fin anything, so yeah, i guess it's dead, mine too
Time for something new...
Anyone managed to revive his I9506? I have similar problem, if you can guys look into it and tell me that you have tried this already:

I think it will be the best way. It's third day of flashing stock firmware from 4.3 to 5.0.1 NEE an TPL. There ware two times that phone actually booted to recovery and green android appeared. But then phone rebooted and still can't get up.
I have an Allwinner T8 which had been working fine until yesterday. It's running stock firmware and unrooted. Yesterday coming home from work it started to boot loop. The radio would come on for a few seconds, then go off, the display constantly shoing the turning android.
I had hoped it was just hot as it was a very hot day, but was the same this morning. I've tried pressing the reset button to no avail, it just no longer plays a radio station as it's lost the stored stations.
I cannot seem to find a way to get into recovery mode, tried plugging in a USB keyboard and pressing "i" and CTRL-PrintScrn but nothing.
Can anyone offer any advice before it ends up as landfill?
I have the same problem with an Allwinner T8 team.
I have a 2016 jeep renegade sport plus. Supposedly the android team is a winca S300.
And it was in a loop, it does not start the system and it stays in the android logo.
I saw a way for the system to update itself.
1) the key must be connected - without starting - just making contact - power -
2) when the device reaches the android logo, it must be reset.
3) When the equipment is restarted, before the logo appears, the ignition key must be turned and removed.
4) After that, the start key must be reconnected. This should bring up an update banner.
The problem is finding that software, which should be previously installed on a flash drive.
Does anyone know how to get it?
