GTA IV on Windows 8 RTM

Hello everyone,
I've installed GTA 4 on Windows 8 and I've a big problem : the GPU is not recognised by the game !
It starts with the Integrated GPU ( Intel Graphics ) with the total memory of 25 MBytes.
With the nVidia Optimus Panel I choose to start the game with the GPU nVidia but it starts with Intel Graphic too.
Does anyone know how to fix the problem ?!
Drivers are up to date and on Windows 7 system it correctly start with GPU nVidia.
I've an Acer Aspire 5755G
CPU : Intel Core i7 2670QM with Intel Graphics up to 2 GB.
GPU : nVidia GeForce GT540 M 2GB (up to 4GB)
RAM : 8 GB ddr3
HDD : 1 TByte

Have you installed the driver for Windows 8? There is already a beta driver for this gpu.
I have Samsung RF711 and I had the same problem with Sleeping Dogs, game lagged as hell and when I looked in the device manager there was no mark of my GT540M so I had to download the driver, install it and then it came up.

If you force all apps to run on the dedicated graphics, will it work?

Every game executable forced to load with GT540 but nope.
I'm trying to install the game without the 1.0.7.0 patch that introduce the menu with the GTA IV: Episode from Liberty City.

[SOLVED] GPU Problem running GTA IV on Windows 8 RTM
Original problem:
" GPU nVidia not recognised on Acer TM 5755g and the integrated GPU (Intel Graphics HD) can't use the shared memory (2GB), also forcing
GPU selection with nVidia Optimus Panel"
GPU Driver installed : nVidia Green 302.80 for Windows 8
Solution :
Changed GPU Driver with 301.42 for Windows 7

8 cortex a7 are the same power comsuption than 4 cortex a8, the same or less that 4 a9, and less that 4 a15, and have more ghz in total, so it would be a good idea to make this, mtk make cortex a 7 processors and the 4 cores device with it are the same speed as google nexus 4, so i think that it will be a good idea

Just think of AMD vs INTEL
More cores vs. higher performance per core
Don't get fooled by the market gimmick and I prefer the A9/Intel way any day.

sorry, but mediatek stoled my idea, they are doing an exellent job with not more cores, it is same performance with more cores with more battery saving and making a good architecture no like amd, amd isnt bad, they chipsets are wrong built, bulldozer stink

core i7 dual core vs core i7 quad?

Recently I have planned to learn android app development. I am willing to by a macbook pro retina display. 13 inch is my choice because it is more portable than 15 inch. But 13 inch macbook pro is dual core. And 15 inch has quad core processor. I will customize my mac when order but there are no option for 13 inch macboom pro retina display to make it quad core.
Should I buy quad core 15 inch macbook pro or 13 inch? It is diffucult to carry 15 inch. 13 inch is less powerful. What should I do? Yes 13 or 15 whar ever I want to buy the retina display version.
Suggest please.

Why are you buying a Mac to do android development?
It's a really expensive way of doing it tbh... I have a PC with an AMD Athlon x64 2.2GHz dual core CPU and it compiles the apps that I code in under 2 minutes. You only really need a PC or laptop capable of running Android Studio or eclipse.

Would I be able to install windows 8 on this PC

if it can run windows 7 then it should run windows 8 just as well.
Windows 10 will be a free upgrade to 7 and 8 users this summer. if your hardware is supported which id guess it is then you might wanna wait and jump straight to windows 10

It will be a bit slower though! Increase your ram n you may it enjoy without problems.

How to run far cry 4 on a dual core processor

My system specs are.
4 gb ram.
Nvidia geforce g210 with 1gb ram and 450mhz.
500gb hard disk.
Windows 10.
Core 2 duo 3.33 ghz each.
I installed far cry 4 and got black screen on oppening.
I scrached google. Found dualcore injector. But that does not work.
After 3 days of its release i found a installed copy of game on net it was 23.6 gb and i bownloaded it.
Just unkaced it and started the fc4.exe and this pthatic exe did not start.
My pc cannrun need for speed rivals at lowest settings.
Assassins creed black flag 4 at medium.
Battelfield 4 at high.
Then why not this

Windows 10 is not compatible with extreme injector you can run Farcry 4 with injector on windows 7,8,8.1.Your options are either upgrade your processor or install windows 7or 8 alongside windows 10 to play the game.

you need an upgrade. GPU and CPU dont meet the minimum requirements. 2nd hand Intel q9300 cpu or better and a new basic gpu like a Nvidia 750ti will make a massive difference to your pc for roughly £100. anything newer will require a new mobo, ram etc.
