ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-T230NU
Current Binary: Custom
System Statusfficial
Firmware upgrade encountered an issue please select recovery mode in Kies and try again
I have tried mounting the device in various ways in windows 8.1, and made attempts at using Odin to recover but I have not been able to get it to work, any help you could give me in regards to recovering from a soft brck would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Flash stock firmware with Odin. There's a thread in general for stock firmwares.
Hi everyone! I want to say thanks for all the great info you provide in these forums! You have helped me root many devices successfully. This is my first time posting a thread here, and I hope someone can help me. Here goes...
I have the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime U.S. Cellular (SM-G530R4) that I am trying very hard to root. I tried King Root, which said it could root my device, but after doing so the first restart of the device resulted in a soft bring with big message saying Custom Binary Blocked by FRP Lock. I've done hours of research and that seems to be common problem. So I downloaded and Flashed Stock firmware back to the device successfully. I did more research on rooting my phone and all I can find for other methods is CF Autoroot. Typically this works well for me, but on this phone it is not. Here is whats happening when I try to flash CF Autoroot -
I enabled USB Debugging, restart my phone in download mode and connect to USB. In Odin I select PDA and select the CF Autoroot TAR file. Click on Start. Odin reports: File analysis-success, setupconnection, initialization, Get PIT for mapping, firmware update start, singledownload, recovery.img, NAND write start, FAIL! complete(write) operation failed.
At this point I look at the phone which on the download screen reports: Product Name-SM-G530R4, Current Binary-Samsung Official, System Status-Official, FRP Lock- On, Knox Warranty Void- 0x0, Qualcom Secure Boot- Enable (CSB), AP SWREC: S1 T1 H1 R1 A1 P1, Secure Download-Enable, CUSTOM BINARY(RECOVERY) BLOCKED BY FRP LOCK. (Note that when trying to flash CF Autoroot, the FRP lock message includes "Recovery" where as when the device was already rooted with King Root and then restarted, the message did not contain the "Recovery" but was otherwise identical and stand alone in BIG letters. With the device already rooted by King Root, FRP Lock actually bricked the device. But when trying to root with CF Autoroot, FRP lock only blocked the flashing and I am able to restart the device and load up as if nothing ever happened. I really want to root my phone, but I need your help to make FRP Lock allow flashing the custom binary, and to do so without soft bricking it!! Ive seen a lot of people with the problem of FRP Lock softbricking their phones, but I can't find anything at all on FRP Lock stopping you from even flashing the custom binary. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer!
P.S. If its of any importance The device is US Cellular SM-G530R4 - Android 5.1.1 - Baseband Version G530R4TYU1AOL2 [This is the newest Update] - Build Number LMY47X.G530R4TYU1AOL2
After trying to install a custom firmware with TWRP, I ran into a soft brick. My device boots up and can go into download mode. I've tried every possible method to unbrick it such as; Kies, Smart Switch, and Odin
None of these have seemed to work. I always get an error, even in Odin. It's always stuck on "Setup Connection"
Can someone please point me in the right direction?
Help i soft bricked my Phone and it said Custom binary blocked by frp so I tried using Odin but that didn't work for some reason so now it says ''An error as occurred while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software'' I dont know what to do now its my only phone and i need to get it back to normal plz help:crying::crying:
Download the original firmware and flash it on ODIN. If it stops at sboot.bin just remove any LOKI files and the sboot.bin itself
Hey guys I have the combination firmware for Samsung galaxy S8 korean version G950N and with the stock firmware the frp can be bpassed easily.
Here is a link for the combination firmware
you can find stock firmware at firmwarefile. com
remove the spaces in the link
After the download flash the combination firmware using odin then after a few reboots turn of the phone and flash the stock firmware using odin and make sure to skip (don't flash) the "CP" tab then when the phone boots complete partially incomplete setup wizard and goto settings make factory reset.
Not working. I have an error: disk corupted, must reset. And that's it, I 'm in same frp
