Hello,
I have an Erision Android PX5 head unit in my car for about a year now. No problems at all until now.
This is the unit: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Android-Support-CarPlay-Bluetooth-Split-Screen/dp/B09VDCQ4YR
Just to confirm this is all built in to the head unit, I'm not using Android Auto through my phone etc.
On all Sat Nav apps my GPS location is lagging behind by 30secs to a minute. The apps themselves don't seem to be lagging just the GPS location.
What could be causing this? Do I need to clear cache or data?
The GPS unit itself appears to be working OK (finds my location instantly when I open an APP) and hasn't moved the location in my car since first fitting.
I've tried running the SAT NAV apps with no other apps running (I usually only have the radio app on as well) and still the same issue.
Any ideas? Thanks all!

Hey im new to the forum and to Joying headunits.
I purchased a Joying headunit and successfully installed it into my MK6 Golf R 2 nights ago.
I am having troubles with Google maps and Waze using location services. Bascially after a cold boot, both apps can detect my location. However over time this connection deteriorates and eventually both apps cannot detect my location and a can't seem to use these apps for GPS.
I did noticed with Google maps i can click on Start driving and this will allow for a gps? connection rather than GPRS? But waze doesn't function correctly at all.
Was there any advice regarding this or has anyone had this issue and resolved it? Thanks in advance
Antony
Hi
I have a Eonon GA7163s head unit on my Mazda 3 MPS. Eveything works fab and AppleCar Play dongle etc.
2 things I was wondering:
Annoying beep when head unit is turned on, is there a way to turn this off without me opening the unit and removing the speaker inside?
Can this unit be customised with newer software/rom? Its got Android 6 installed and Eonon custom stuff. Im no Android user, so no idea about it.
Thanks
Hello
I bought this new HIZPO car unit.
.amazon.de/dp/B07X3N7WPZ/ref=cfb_at_prodpg
It is an Rk3368, Andriod 10, but I can`t find nothing about the MCU in the unit.
It works fine but I have problem with the GPS.
Even though enough satellites are always received, the navigation system lags behind.
Especially at intersections and curves, the navigation system just drives straight and calculates new routes before it notices that I have turned. I tried 3 different navigation programs, all have the same phenomenon.
Does somebody have any idea?

Which navigation software is used?
If it´s an online navigation software I would try any offline version as HERE.
The unit is only offline and I use offline Navigation Software, two Version of Igo, Navigon, Google maps offline and Locus.
Hello All,
There is much information on this forum which has helped me so far on this android head unit journey but I am almost at the position where I might throw the damn thing out of the window and reinstall the basic manufactures head unit.
I bought the head unit from a dealer who is no longer in business and cannot contact them which closes off the normal route for enquiry.
The headhunt appears to be a generic Chinese manufacturer. The config shows as:
MCU Ver: DH200729T512188X611200805
FrameWork: 9 PQ2A.190305.002 eng.work2.20201208.100955
Android Ver: 9
App Ver: 2020120801T_1280x480_970
Tablet: rkpx6
The bluetooth function has been disabled which was originally a problem when using an iPhone as you have to hotspot every time. I overcame this with a wifi dongle and 4G card.
The GPS is terrible as well (part of the problem is the number of high rises that shadow the road). One of the main reasons for upgrading was the navigation which I generally cannot use.
So I thought a CarLinkit adapter would solve all of my problems which it did - although I get horrible screen interference that makes the unit completely unusable. The interference is completely random and CarLinkit have said that the problem is the head unit and not the adapter.
I've removed the adapter now and have to use my phone for navigation which works but doesn't solve the problem I originally tried to solve.
I seem to remember that the android version was originally ver 8 and it appears to have upgraded itself to version 9. When I play music know it takes about 2 minutes for the sound to come out of the speakers (even though the music appears to be playing). It only happens on the first boot of the head unit.
I'm currently banging my head against a wall with this technology and it appears that updating and not knowing exactly what you are doing could brick the system.
So my questions boil down to:
a) are my carlinkit issues really related to the head unit?
b) why would sound be delayed by 2 minutes after the unit has started?
c) what is the latest software I can apply to this head unit?
d) is there a better unit that I can install that will be much more reliable out of the box? there appears to be other head units available although I need a RHD option which many of the sellers on AliExpress saying isn't available.
Hopefully, I can gain some experience from others on this forum.
Thanks in advance,
DC

Any android head unit with less than 2GB RAM will be a dead zone to run apps or the OS. Apps crash a lot and OS doesn't perform well. I am not sure about your head unit's RAM capacity.
Alternatively, I would suggest uninstalling/disabling the apps that you don't really require through system settings >> apps
I have a cheap Android head unit ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09BD1P..._iN7R_OklzorSSvdmoTnLnhAN1JwupQvl9b8feFsMnx-k )
I've installed Agama Launcher which I am happy with however trying to get a navigation set up to work with it is a nightmare. I installed Yandex and that kept crashing, so did some offline google maps and that keeps loosing satellites is there one people can recommend please.

Sorry to say, but you need to accept the restrictions given with this kind of cheap units.
The modern navigation software needs more memory as it is available on your unit.
Igo should be installed on this unit. You really need to stick with it.
