Hi
I have a Eonon GA7163s head unit on my Mazda 3 MPS. Eveything works fab and AppleCar Play dongle etc.
2 things I was wondering:
Annoying beep when head unit is turned on, is there a way to turn this off without me opening the unit and removing the speaker inside?
Can this unit be customised with newer software/rom? Its got Android 6 installed and Eonon custom stuff. Im no Android user, so no idea about it.
Thanks

Hi can anybody recommend me head unit to fit my VW scirocco, i would like it retain all the functionality of the standard unit (RNS315) and sound good, it must be DAB capable and i would like to run google maps/waze and sometimes tomtom. I would like the unit to be fast on response times.
I don’t mind a bit of work to get the unit how I need it but would like some help to choose the right unit to start with.
Hi Guys,
Recently purchased the Zeepin 7003 head unit from Aliexpress and installed it in my car. It was working perfect for the first 2 month. However recently I'm observing issues with the radio built in app. When turning on the car the radio is working but the screen is black means I can't choose a station and listening all the time only to 1 station! I've tried to reset the head unit few times but it doesn't help at all. Looks like it resets only the power and then everything is going the same...
You can search it in Aliexpress it's very popular
Please advise what to do I'm going crazy!
Hi guys,
I recently got back from repair my Dasaita PX5 android head unit (MTCE_HA_V3_10_1). (It broke after 2 days of use, froze during waze installation and never started again)
On my Mitsubishi Lancer I have the rockford fosgate sound system ( 6 speakers+ subwoofer). I have also purchased the Canbus for this model (2011).
I have some issues with the built-in amplifier app, it does not influence the sound (only the loudness option works). The eq menu doesn't work and also the fader seems to do nothing.
Do you know any workaround on this?
Cheers,
Paul
I installed the Joying JY-BO124N3 Android head unit which works great. The problem I'm having is the car is displaying metric units on start up. To fix this, I have to go into the head unit settings and change to imperial/American units which will then display the correct units on the dash/climate control. The headunit itself always displays the correct Imperial units (mph, F, etc). I contacted the manufacturer who said it wasn't possible to permanently change through the head unit. The Eunavi Android head unit in my Toyota doesn't have this problem so I'm assuming the problem is with the BMW. Is there anyway I can permanently program/code out metric units so only Imperial information is displayed on my dash?
I did a review on the head unit and show this problem at 3:23:

Bump
Anyone?
I can’t help other than to say I had the same issue with my BMW E90 and an Eonon unit so it seems like this might be an E90 thing with these aftermarket head units?

Ah, thanks for the reply. This is super helpful. I'm just relieved to hear that someone (unfortunately) had the same issue as me. If my Joying and your Eonon are doing the same thing, then I can pretty much narrow down that it's on BMW's end.
Hi all,
I have installed in my VW Mk IV Golf a Xtrons Android car head unit.
Its great, never had issues with it. Its fast and responsive although wish I had a remote control fo some sort for it that I could attach to the steering wheel liek I had with my previous Android car head unit which was a a Joying.
The Joying unit wasn't bad but the screen ended up going and even though I sent it back to Joying they fixed it its seem with a faulty screen and part of the screen never repsoned to touch commands.
However, that is not the issue at hand.
I seem to eb having a problem that is happening opn my Xtrons unit and ti also happened on the Joying Unit.
For some odd reason, maybe once a year, the unit does not want to switch off when the engine is turned off.
My normal fix for this has been to replace the canbus box that comes with the uniut. I've gone through three of these canbus boxes now and there not that cheap to repalce (Xtrons charges £50)
Does anyone know or has experienced something similar? Any idea whats casuing the Canbus box to stop working? Anyone know if i can buy these canbus boxes cheaper some where else other than Xtrons?
