How to download Wear OS logs after the action - Wear OS Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
is it possible to download Wear OS logs to PC from the last hour or so? I am trying to debug an issue in my app when the screen turns off. The problem is when the WiFi debugging is connected to gather logs, everything works fine, the issue occurs only if debugging and log collecting are disabled.
Therefore I need to access the logs from the last session after the issue was reproduced. Is this possible?
thanks in advance!

[Q] How to avoid automatic ScreenMirroring to the last known Mirroring Device?

Hi,
I have a test setup with 2 Samsung HomeSync Boxes; each one connected to a display.
When I manually connect a Mobile to Box1, the Mobile content is mirrored to Display1.
In a second run I'd like to connect to Box2. But unfortunately a connection is automatically established to Box1 (since this was the last known connection, I guess). I have to cancel the connection process and have to select the other box. I really need to avoid this.
Is it possible to somehow avoid the automatic connection? My hope was that it would be sufficient to clear the app cache and/or data. But it didn't solve the problem. Any ideas where the information about the last connected mirroring device might be stored? By clearing this information I'd assume that I'd have to select a Box by myself.
Thanks for your help!
Kathrin
PS: I'm also working with the Allshare Framework from Samsung, but it doesn't provide anything useful for my problem...
*bump
Have you tried tapping the phone on the box you want to control so it connects via NFC?

USB Debugging Turns Off

When I connect to my work laptop (Macbook Pro), my phone connects as an installer. After a few seconds, it switches to a media device connection. I have the Developer Options enabled and the USB Debugging option selected, but it keeps getting turned off as soon as the phone is connected via USB cable.
It was working properly last week, but I updated to MacOS 10.10.5 over the weekend, and now it won't see my phone in USB Debugging mode.
Due to the timing of the MaxOS update, I do not believe this is an error with my phone or Android, but I'm hoping some other Macbook users may have encountered and resolved this issue. I've been unsuccessful in tracking down anything helpful, partly because of the voluminous search results for "USB debugging." I'd appreciate any help available.
I'm running 4.4.2, rooted but otherwise stock.
Thanks!
Even though no one else replied here, I thought I'd post my resolution in the event that someone else with the same problem stumbles across this thread in the future. The short version: enter *#0808# into your dial pad and you should get the USBSettings screen where you can choose from several options how your phone handles a USB connection. I ended up landing on the "DM + Modem + ADB" mode, which allowed my laptop to talk to my phone again. No clue what caused the problem in the first place, nor why USB Debugging mode itself didn't stick, but this resolved it for me. Hope it works for others, as well...

Communicating issues to enable to improve

Hey Guys,
on Thursday I installed LineageOS 14.1 nightly on my Moto X Play.
Now I think I only enable to improve the Rom by communicating errors in it.
1. Yesterday I no more got notifications automatically. After a reboot of the device everything was okay and messages became received automatically and I was notified automatically again.
2. Today I noticed that if I use the flight mode and end it after a while it no more connects to mobile data. If I search for mobile network in settings the device finds network, but it only connects to telephone network. Only after a reboot the device logs in to mobile data. If I only use flight mode for some seconds the issue does not occur.
I wish you all a nice weekend and greetings from Germany

setwifienabled not allowed

Hello,
I've installed an application to make automatic back-up on my NAS through SMB (SMBSync2), which have an option that turn ON wifi automaticaly in order to make synchronization. This option is very interesting for me, as I want to sync during the night, while my phone is on flight mode.
However, each time I have the same issue saying that application was not abble to switch ON wifi. I've contact application creator that indicated me that I can't turn On WIFI on my OnePlus 5 with WIFIManager#setWIFIEnabled() from the app.
Does someone know how to make it work ?

WearOS Galaxy Watch 4 or similar device FCM notification over wifi all time

Hello.
I have developed an application for Wear OS using Kotlin in Android Studio. I am sending notifications using Firebase Cloud Messaging. However, I am experiencing issues related to Wi-Fi. The watch should work independently of the phone and stay connected to Wi-Fi constantly. It should display the notifications sent through Firebase on the screen. So far, there haven't been any problems, but when the screen is turned off, the Wi-Fi connection is also lost. The notifications I send don't reach the device.
How can I solve this issue? Or can I use a different method?
The goal is simple: to send notifications to the watch anytime via Wi-Fi, and have them displayed on the screen with vibration and sound, whether the screen is on or off.
Thanks.
