How to Remove Pattern in my G975f Without Data losing?

I was in France last week, and my Defy+ kept popping up a warning about the cost of data roaming. This was a dialogue box which appeared over the home screen, and which required me to tap "Yes" (to continue to use roaming data) or "No" (to turning roaming data off) before I could proceed. The phone did this repeatedly, even after I had told it "Yes" several times.
It looked to me as though the screen came on when the warning popped up, and stayed on until I cleared it. So as well as being annoying, it was draining the phone's battery by keeping the screen on while the phone was sat in my pocket.
I use 3G Watchdog to keep an eye on my data usage, and I found that this app has a widget which turns mobile data on and off. So I installed the widget and made a point of switching mobile data off whenever I wasn't using it. Frustratingly, that didn't stop the roaming data warning from popping up and draining my battery.
I know how to disable and enable roaming data through the system settings, but (a) it's a faff, and (b) the Battery and Data Manager section of system settings is very slow to load.
Does anyone know how to stop the roaming data warning from popping up in the first place? Alternatively, is there an app out there with a widget which will enable and disable roaming data quickly and easily?
P.S. I'm sure it didn't do this when I was in Italy last year, so I don't know what's different about being in France.
Hi, I need to bypass the pin lockscreen of Note 3 or just go back to the pattern lock screen because I know the pattern but not the pin code.
The note 3 is on Lollipop and it's not rooted and I doubt that android debugging is enabled.
There has been a case of abduction and this is the victims phone. We need to bypass the lock screen without loosing a single bit of data. Victims family knows the pattern lock but it has been exhausted by these dumb people here.
Is there any way to reset the tries so I can go back to pattern lock screen or any way to access the phone without wiping data.
We need to look into the messages, phone calls record to find clues.
This is a serious query someones life is at stake here.
Every and any approach will be appreciated.
You will need the Google account password associated with the device and go here to the 'lock and reset' option. Anything else will probably require contacting the manufaturer with a subpoena.

So I rooted my verizon s7 edge and it didn't work. After factory reset it showed custom and an open lock on startup. After trying to root again and failing I factory reset and the custom and lock were gone and all is good but every time the lock screen is on it says roaming indicator off and if I look with advanced signal status it says carrier: roaming indicator off. Help me fix this please
roaming indicator off
is your problem solved ? i am also suffering from same problem i have s7 edge g9350
Hi everyone,
I am having an issue with my S7 Edge because of the unlock pattern.
Normally, I always use my fingerprints for phone unlock, but as you know, additional to that you always need to input some pattern lock also for security reasons.
The problem now is that I forgot the pattern, I can still unlock my phone via fingerprint, but I can not change the lockscreen settings because it asks me for the pattern. I inputted it already 2 times wrong, first time I had to wait 5 minutes, second time 10 minutes in order to be able to unlock at all.
Now I am afraid to try anymore because it will lock my phone for longer....
Is there a way of disabling the pattern in a situation like this? (without having to do a factory reset via recovery)
P.S. It is a rooted phone
Generally, I've never used a pin/pw/pattern to unlock my phone. Wise or not, I like to get quick access often.
The G5 Plus is my first phone with a fingerprint reader. I thought that would help me get better security without slowing down access.
However, I can't find any way to enable fingerprint access without first entering a PIN, password, or pattern lock! Online tutorials say there should be a "None" option on that screen, but mine doesn't have any such option.
I don't see how this makes any sense:
- You can have no PW/PIN/Pattern and no Fingerprint
- You can have Fingerprint, but only if you have PW/PIN/Pattern to access Fingerprint. This seems to defeat 95% of the utility of having Fingerprint! (the other 5% being when you need to validate Google Pay or whatever)
It seems like having an in-between option (fingerprint only) would be more secure than nothing, so why isn't it an option?
Is there any way to have fingerprint access without having to unlock first?
You need to have a password as backup. You only have to enter that password once after setting up the fingerprint, and on first boot. After that it does not requires the pin
Also, many custom ROMs have an option to unlock with FP without unlocking it with pin/pattern at all
When you use the fingerprint sensor, it bypasses the password and unlocks the device instantly. Password is a backup in case the sensor malfunctions.
It also asks you for your password once every few days.
