Hi there
I have a galaxy note 3 from Verizon working on claro dominicana in the dominican republic.
Im just giving you some background. It works perfectly even 4G lte, im not root user and a few days ago i install lollipop update and i love it but something weird is happening. I cant disable the data. Im on wifi at home and when i go out sometimes i want to leave the data off so the battery last longer and extend my data plan cuz im just have 1gb. And i try to use my data plan just when i need it but since im on lollipop even when i turn my data off i still getting massages from what'sapp and everything still working li a dont turn it off.
I try to hard reset my phone to see if i get fix but no.
Any opinion pliz

When you turn it off are you using the status bar toggle or system settings?
I used the notification bar toggle but i check in settings and its disabeled but still consuming my mobile data plan. I also try to disable it directly on settings but no change are made

Hm strange I would try factory reset
I fix it!!!! I enter un safe mode and everything was working fine and i realized that sometging were wrong with an app and it was DU speed booster with the engine + mode active in accessibility. I turn it off and everything it's fine now.
Can't disable mobile data
Has anyone else solved this problem of not being able to turn off mobile data? I have turned off mobile data in settings, wiped the cache partition, turned off background data on every app, turned off the automatic smart switch, tried it in safe mode and mobile data is still on. 4G symbol is greyed out in notification bar, but data is still on. Only thing that turns it off is airplane mode, which is not good as I cannot receive calls. I have read that someone with the same ptoblem did a factory reset and it was not the solution. My phone is a not rooted Note 3 running 5.0 lollipop with no updates available. I also tried SIM cards from 2 different providers and problem persists.
I have the same problem too

I used to have the same problem until I installed another ROM in my phone, in this case, PHRONESIS.
I never found how to solve it.
Hello everyone!
I've problem with switching mobile data on.
I've tried many custom roms and i thought the issue was gone after a week of hassle-free experience, BUT...
yesterday i used mobile data for 3 hours listening to music by Tidal, switched data off and i went asleep. After awaking, i tried to turn it on and the problem appeared again.
What's the problem?
There r 2 symptoms:
1. - mobile data toggle button is active (LTE shown in the left upper corner of the toggle) when i swipe down notification bar , but not on status bar (there is nothing, not even “x“, when i have data disabled, so it looks like it's trying to connect to mdata and it can't). Overall effect: there is no internet, even though toggle behaves like there is no problem, quickly shows this LTE in the corner. Toggling on and off doesnt help.
2. - i practice a lot in the basement, where's simply signal void.
during this everythin-works-week my phone had no problem with finding signal after exiting the basement. now it takes a looot of time to find an operator.
Solution for both, whats also strange: HARD reboot. SOFT reboot doesnt fix anything.
Anyone has a clue whats going on with my phone?
(currently i'm on AOSP-OMS-7.0-20161111-lux-nickv)
Can anyone please answer me How to Remove "mobile data turned off notification"?
Whenever i turn off the mobile data it says Mobile Data Turned off and i cant even remove it from settings or even let it swipe off ... Its really annoying ... Yeah i know force stop phone or restart or maybe setting it off for like 2 hour works but still i want it to be remove ... i am using a AT&T S7 edge ...
Not sure if this is the right place...sorry.
My Galaxy s8 (Sprint) plus wifi keeps shutting off by itself. Annoying as hell.
How do I fix this? I reset network settings to no avail.
I have Oreo so any time I Google help it shows me instructions for old android version which seems to be completely different from oreo. The settings they send me to change aren't there!
Thanks in advance.
I am running TWRP v3.3.1-0 and I notice the date and time are way off. 2 years ago and several hours and many minutes behind the time. I made sure the time zone is set correct. I had it set for 24 hour time and changed it to 12 hour time, its still wrong. When I boot back to the system (LineageOS 15.1) the date/time is correct. Otherwise TWRP works as it should.
Any ideas ?
Problem related to Roaming Indicator Off
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/help/roaming-indicator-off-t4088323
Thread title: Roaming Indicator Off
When I turn on Enhanced 4G LTE Mode (VoLTE), my carrier display is changed to “Roaming Indicator Off”.
My phone is XT1687 64GB/4GB + 128GB SD. LineageOS 15.1-20200414 (GothicIV, security patched Apr 5, 2020). My carrier is US Mobile as a virtual carrier of Verizon.
If I clear cache or remove SIM; reboot; reinsert, it displays US Mobile for a while – but then it goes back to “Roaming Indicator Off”. (Don’t do the #228# as it puts the phone in 3G only mode!!!)
From what I read this is a problem with the “Preferred Roaming List (PRL)”. This appears to be a carrier/provider problem – but I read it’s common in custom ROMs.
Any ideas to fix – besides turning off 4G?
=================================================================================================
When the phone shows the proper carrier; TWRP shows the correct date and time. When the phone is displaying "Roaming Indicator Off", the year shows 2018 in TWRP and the files it creates. In PERSIST , there is a "Time" directory, I was advised to erase them and reboot - and it had no effect.
If TWRP works fine then I'd wouldn't worry about the time and date honestly. Otherwise I believe you can set it manually.
