Hi all,
I got a notification on my G2 D802 to update to 5.0 lollipop a while ago but wondering if its safe to do so. I goggled it and found out that some people had some major issues with battery drain and bad wifi performance. Anyway I proceeded to download the LG PC suite to still give it a try however I got this message on startup. " Android 5.0 Lollipop guide
Date : 2014.11.27
For phone or tablet with Android 5.0 Lollipop or later,
phone or tablet will not back up or restore properly due to security on Android.
Refrain from use.
"
Now I am really thinking twice lol.. Can anyone shed some light on this? Is it safe to update? Can anyone did it before can advice me?
Updated without problems. I even didn't need to do factory reset after update, zero problems. On the other hand, I didn't find any new worthy functionality that I couldn't live without. I like new design of quick switches because I'm partly colorblind and those on KitKat were hard to read for me. And if you need to make selfies in dark there is great function to use white screen as lamp.
Thanks for your reply. If for some reason i dont like it can i roll back through pc suite?
I has just updated my g7-l01 to marshmallow, I noticed that the device takes to much time to charge, is there any solution? Is there anyway to go back to lollipop as marshmallow doesn't afford any new feature.r
Hello forum,
I just received my Yotaphone bought from AliExpress, it is a YD206 flashed by the seller to RU build previous to 1.134
Now, after I turn it on for the first time and connect it to WiFi, it goes to the Android Software update (Checking for updates) screen and stays there forever.
Any clue on how to bypass and then update it manually?
Try using this guide
Hello ,
Has any one had the update V10h-nov-01-2017
917.98MB in size
My last update was 17 June 2017
Import version ( B&O) in the UK , standard Rom etc
Its very very slow !!!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah same here, even a tortoise is faster. Will leave it overnight.
15% done and i started this morning at 7am , 16:28 now
Too laggy for me. Only November security patch update ??
All going in the right way .. next will be 8.0 mmmm
Hmm, this morning the update was showing 6% and I set it to wifi only download as I was going out and didn't was to trash my mobile data allowance. Just came home and it still said 6%, checked again a few minutes later and it said "cannot download server error" So now it's back to 0%. Not very good LG - is it?
Same problem here, I will wait a few days, any feedback of performance with this version?
Yep. Mine is the international version purchased from hong kong. It's just everyone smashing the LG servers. Mine has completed after leaving it over night. (6+ hours)
I received the 917 mb update in October .... H990ds
turn mine on today , at 87% after an hour ... those poor servers ... mines from s korea
are you guys also on h990ds sea version? Cause i am rooted on the G version and i don't want to loose root en do a full reinstall again to go back to it.
Mines h990ds from s korea, im in wales .. its 1nove 2017 update still 7.0 software version v10h-twn-xx build number nrd90m
this worked for me, I used LG-Bridge it was way quicker than the OTA. Use LG-Bridge on your PCs
I thought it was my wifi that's slow. Btw, i can't screen sharing or casting after i installed the november update. Is it just coincidence? Or anyone encounter the same issue and successfully solved the problem?
Is this update available to US996? Android Oreo or 7.1.1?
Anyone know how to turn this off , on 7.1.1 this was possible but under 7.1.2 this option has been removed.
Software Version is - 00WW_3_700_SP01.
I understand there is a newer version floating around 00WW_3_72A but my TA-1033 has not received this yet and on some threads the OTA is bricking some devices as in the update script it looks for TA-1025_00WW
Any shed some light for me
Mark
Hello just one question is your TA-1033 rooted ? thank you
No unrooted , bootloader locked too , im not one for rooting unless its on my Pixel device
Really? Rooting a phone to change settings? That's like having to rob your own bank to get to your money!
