Hi. I just received my Nexus 7 2013 Wifi today, and I´ve been testing it. The WiFi connects fine, I put in my google account, it showed me a bunch of new googleapps updates available ( maps, youtube, etc ), and so I´ve updated all of them. But then I´ve checked the version it´s running, and it´s JSS15J. I try to update the system, and it says "it´s up to date"...but shouldn´t be updated to JSS15R version within a few minutes after I powered it on?
I´ve checked today, and it seems kitkat is rolling out, so is it going to update to 4.4 from it´s current version, or is it something wrong with my tablet? I tried restarting, but no good.
Any help appreciated. Thank you very much.
This is the feedback that I can share with you about my recent update to version 4.3 S4 I9500 Argentina (OTA).
I was on 4.2.2, and the new Baseband Version becomes I9500UBUEMK1
OTA update process:
1) The update is a package of 651 Mb
2) After you download it, installed without problems. Reboot.
3) After you have installed the update 2) ... another "update package" about 15 Mb comes in, which is installed automatically. Reboot.
4) After the update 3) another "update package" of 13.19 Mb comes in, which is installed. Reboot.
5) And finally ... no more update packages are available, and the process is finished.
I have tested the phone and at the beginning was working fine: wifi, bluetooth, Youtube, and several other applications.
I found no benefit in the new version: activated the new "reading mode" but found no appreciable change. Speed: no appreciable change. Battery life: idem.
UPDATE AFTER A WEEK OF USE:
After using it for several days, I found that the problem of the message "Your wifi Connection Has Become Unstable", which is very annoying, appears very often, and wifi disconnects momentarily. Apparently there is no solution to this problem, as I could read in several posts.
In short, finding no benefit, my suggestion is: * DO NOT INSTALL V4.3 *
Is there any solution to the wifi unstable problem ?
Thank you.

I recently had a Note 2 with 4.3 with the same issue. Now I have an S4 with 4.2.2.
If I am not wrong, when you are in the wifi routers list (to conect to one) you must use the menu key and a menu will desplay. Hit Advanced. A new menu will appear and there you will see in the middle of the screen, an option that says verify the internet service (explained below says alternate automatically between wifi and mobile,) unclic that option.
note: every word detailed by me is not exact because i have the firm in spanish, so i just translated it the best i could. Let me know how it went
I have an unlocked S4 in argentina and OTA updates say that there is no 4.3 version available.

How were you able to make an OTA update? I have an unlocked S4 in Argentina, and it says it is not available.

Hello, and thank you for your writing.
I have that option unchecked, but still I receive the "internet connection unstable" message.
And regarding the OTA in Argentina, I got it about a week ago. My previous Baseband Version was I9500UBUBMG9, on Android 4.2.2., I9500 unlocked.
Perhaps yours is branded (attached to a celco company) so you will have to wait until that brand publishes 4.3 upgrade. However, my recommendation is to not upgrade.
Best regards,
Pablo.

Many thanks for the data.
I have read in another forum that mk8 has many improvements over mk1 (argentina version) they always were using the russian version ok mk8. Maybe this will help. The main improvements were, not heating too much and battery life.
I just repeat what they said, i personally have not tried it.
Best regards.

Hello guys,
I have been trying to update my phone OTA. I am able to download the update but when I click "restart&install" it goes to installing mode and at the middle of the process it goes crashing and there is no update. I have tried this 8 times since March.
What do you think would be the problem ? btw, I am using T-mobile version (US).
Thank you
Hi, everybody, I'm a note 4 user from Malaysia, had been using it since it first came to the market. When I bought the 1st note 4 of mine, it's black, and from Malaysia Samsung shop. Later my girl friend got a pink one, from a neighboring country, Singapore. Then we both swap it and using it in Malaysia, with Malaysia's telco Sim cards. Recently, my girl friend note 4 (from Malaysia), got some official update for the OS, by OTA, from 5.0.1 to 5.1.1, and the newest is 6.0.1. She did update to 5.1.1, but stay at it and didn't up to 6.0.1 due to a lot of negative comments about it. On the other hand, the note 4 that I'm using(from Singapore), still stuck with 5.0.1, since the day we swapped. I did on the OTA, but I didn't get any notification about update for my phone. I tried to do manual update checking, by going into setting > system > about device > software update > update now, in case I might have miss the notification while I ran out of range of data, but yet I still a get nothing on it,it just show that the firmware had been update to the latest. At first this doesn't bother me much. But nowadays, my phone started to get wacky, and started to get randomly reboot. I was thinking an update to the firmware might help solve the problem. I did went to samfirmware and check out the newest firmware for my phone and I found that there is an update to 5.1.1 for it, so I try using OTA again to try to update but it failed, the result still say my phone is on the latest update, whereas my phone was still on 5.0.1. I wonder what went wrong with it. Here's my question :
1. Why can't my note 4(from Singapore) do an OTA update? Do I really need a Singapore Sim card to do the update?
2. I know how to flash using Odin, but I heard that many people do a factory reset after flashing new firmware, is this really needed? Cause in the old days, I just do simple flashing and straight forward using the phone(android before note 4) with out doing any factory reset after it.
3. How is the newest 6.0.1 getting along with note 4, need some expert opinions on it.
Sorry for the long story and bad English, I'm trying to keep it short and clear so that you can read them clearly and understand my question, thank you for any answer in advance.
Hey guys, first time posting so I hope I'm in the right sub.
Here is the thing:
- I bought a phone from a reseller which was sold to me as an SM-G930F with Android Oreo
- When it came home, I noticed it was running Marshmallow, and with further research it appears that the phone is actually the chinese SM-G9300 & it doesn't allow OTA updates
- I got a refund but I could keep the phone
The actual firmware is G9300ZCU2APG2
So the question is: am I able to upgrade that SM-G9300 to Oreo? If so, do I have to install a custom ROM running Oreo, flash a european firmware (or custom?) to allow the update?
