Hello guys,
I have been trying to update my phone OTA. I am able to download the update but when I click "restart&install" it goes to installing mode and at the middle of the process it goes crashing and there is no update. I have tried this 8 times since March.
What do you think would be the problem ? btw, I am using T-mobile version (US).
Thank you

Hi,
When I started my phone for first time, it took me to a screen where I have updated the preferred time for getting firmware updates OTA and some other settings for OTA. or it might be called as "Software update setting" In my view it happens only the first time you start the device, where it will ask you your desired time for software update..
It happens only for first time, so wanted to ask the seniors, how can I access that setting again in Samsung Galaxy S4 (I9500)
Please advise...
I tried searching for that setting but i am not able to find it.
Please help..
Regards,
Anoop

Go to settings - more - about us - software update
Thanks for your reply.
I know that settings i.e. More---About us---Software update, but when I manually click on it, it gives me below message..."The Software update service is not available. Maximum number of roll-out updates has been exceeded Try to update device later"
I am trying since 2 days but getting same message..
I remember that when I started the phone for first time, it took me to software update setting and asked me about my preferred time of update etc... (1st booting of the device) so that setting I am asking.. if someone can help please...
Regards,
Anoop.
I had that error on my i9505, the only way i rectified it was a factory data reset... works fine now.

Hi I recently updated my Note 3 to kitkat. The update was successful but after that my signal and mobile data frequently disconnects that hasn't happened to me before the update. I haven't installed any app too after the update. Any solutions or ideas what causes the problem?
Thanks in advance.

Did you recive an OTA or you just flash a firmware?, im asking this since i got a similar problem, as a matter of fact i still got it but ive manage to fix by simple restaring the phone.
I flash a rom from rusia and i live in central america i was having problems with my 3g it was just not getting any data but if i switched to Edge if will work correctly, so i read some place that it could be a modem problem, so i downloaded and flashed a diferent rom, the problem kinda got fixed but i need to restart the phone in order to the 3g to work correctly, so u can just get another rom to try with a diferent modem.
The problem with mine is that I can recieve data but the thing is the signal disconnects by itself the starts back on again. I updated OTA.
Hi Everyone,
I had received an update on PC suite for 5.0.2 lollipop and 65% of the way through it had stopped working and therefore my phone is stuck in Firmware Update mode and now I can get out of it.
I wasn't rooted but on the bottom of the box written in red it was saying ROOTED.
Previously I was using the 4.4.2 20h version
Please can you help as I don't really want to take it into LG as they probably will just ignore it
Thanks

Hi all,
I got a notification on my G2 D802 to update to 5.0 lollipop a while ago but wondering if its safe to do so. I goggled it and found out that some people had some major issues with battery drain and bad wifi performance. Anyway I proceeded to download the LG PC suite to still give it a try however I got this message on startup. " Android 5.0 Lollipop guide
Date : 2014.11.27
For phone or tablet with Android 5.0 Lollipop or later,
phone or tablet will not back up or restore properly due to security on Android.
Refrain from use.
"
Now I am really thinking twice lol.. Can anyone shed some light on this? Is it safe to update? Can anyone did it before can advice me?

Crap. Sorry didnt realize.
It's OK go and update it. But if you are happy with Kitkat then don't update it.
Even i was in same situation but then i went n tried updating using pc suit. Cudnt be successful as it started showing error while downloading multiple times.Any advice?

Hmmm. You tried doing a factory reset before updating?
Hello all,
So just recently I was having problems with my current firmware of Marshmallow 6.0 and I was thinking it's about time to upgrade to one of the latest firmwares available to XT1575. I'm always getting the update notification for Nougat 7.0 and I somehow accidentally chose the option to download the firmware and install it. As of now, I am stuck with my phone trying to update itself to Nougat 7.0. If you're wondering, yes my phone is rooted using Magisk. I am clueless of what to do now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After several reboots, I received the update failed notification. Problem has solved itself.
