Is it absolutely necessary to use a PIT file and re-partition if we're flashing from JVQ?

Right. It's spam: promoting one's site, eh! Should be banned, otherwise XDA will be full of these.
This topic is completely useless. Stop spamming with this odin guide **** .... Everybody knows how to flash a new fw
not everybody knows how to flash new firmware.

Then they can refer to one of the numerous other guides available, the original point still is that this thread is redundant.

Its a million time answerd qstn.. Flash latest cwm and latest 4.4 rom. Its easy as that. You will get the detailed procedure from the respective threads.. Its not fair to create a seperate thread for this. You could have use qna section instead. By answer to yr query, i am no way encouraging your attitude

Greetings!
I am trying to revert my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 G900V(B) back to Lollipop from Marshmallow. I don't have a PC but a Macbook Pro so I can't use ODIN. Instead I have downloaded Heimdall. I have downloaded several different versions of the Lollipop stock ROM but the Heimdall GUI is not recognizing them.
I *really* need to revert this back to Lollipop so I can use towelroot to get rid of all the crap Verizon bloatware that is eating my memory and making my phone unusable.
Any help would be so so so appreciated, thank you!

Hi,
So I was trying to get my S5 Plus G901F back to stock by flashing a stock based custom rom. The problem is I was doing some other stuff at the same time and I ended up downloading a G900F rom. Surprisingly, TWRP flashed the rom without any problems but the phone could not boot into the rom. Somehow, it went really wrong and now, my G901F says on download mode:
-Product name: SM-G900F.
It goes even worse. I'm no longer able to flash any G901F firmware (downloaded from Samsung website) as it will show an error like "FAIL (auth)".
The funny thing is that I'm able to flash G900F firmwares but they wont boot at all since the phone will get stuck on bootloop as you might expect.
I've tried a 4 part firmware + pit file like this one: https://mega.nz/#!3RJW2LSZ!C8zXCw_JX_izmAVGfxD2Rm5chaefd7MWg_etlK7oQ8E
But it shows this error:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
While on the phone it says: SECURE CHECK FAIL: PIT.
Is there any chance to go back to stock? I'm still able to enter download/fastboot mode and recovery mode.
P.d: I've installed latest drivers and I've tried several USB ports on my PC with latest win10.
Thank you all by advance.

I don't have this variant myself but, you may be able to flash the correct firmware using the following Patched Odin.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3762572
I've never needed it myself but, It looks like it's Patched to prevent the checks that cause the Auth error.
Just a suggestion...
Good Luck!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
UNLESS asked to do so, PLEASE don't PM me regarding support. Sent using The ClaRetoX Forum App on my Enigma Machine {aenigma = Latin for "Riddle"}.
Hi!
Even though your proposal looked really promising, I keep getting the same error.
Thank you tho
I was trying to change my boot animation to a .zip compatible one in a Samsung J1 120G phone. For this I used
[MOD]Bootanimation4U - Add custom bootanimation to any rom
This will add the ability to use a custom bootanimation on any rom with any kernel and probably any samsung device. It has been tested on the Note II but should work with any samsung device that uses samsungani to load boot animations. If it...
forum.xda-developers.com
which changes /system/bin/bootanimation and /system/bin/samsungani. Unfortunately, it gives a black boot screen. The problem is now I cannot restore the original files (Because I totally forgot to backup those files) means I cannot revert it back to the original animation. I tried factory resetting (which shouldn't work) and it didn't work. Is there a way to repair those files or can someone provide me with those files.
