Template for ROM problems.
I know this is not technically development, but I think something like this needs to be stickied at the top of the development section for everyone to copy paste and use in development threads so we can get useful feedback to developers. If this is useful, or you have anything to add to it, pm or reply here and we will see if we can get a mod to sticky it.
Phone type, recovery and official ROM version: (eg: u8800, CWM 5.5.0.4 and B522)
Carrier and location: (Who provides your service and where are you?)
Rom version used: (State rom name and version here)
Is the ROM stock?: (are you using any mods such as kernels or themes?)
What is the problem?: (What is the problem? Be specific please.)
Is it repeatable?: (Does it occur randomly or every time? post specific steps for problem)
Have you done a clean install or wiped cache, dalvic cache and fixed permissions and the problem still occurs? (yes or no)
Can you post a log after the problem occurs? (will be specific to different roms, but search rom thread for details. May be a logcat or error report.)

[Q] N910H sound custom and boot animation custom

Hi everyone,
I'm sorry if it is considered double post since I don't know if I'll get any reply in the other post.
I used to have a Note 2 and I just bought a Note 4.
I customized boot animation, shutdown animation and ui sounds (like lockscreen, unlock screen, touch sound, etc) on my Note 2 and flashed them through Ditto Note 3 custom rom.
Now I want my customized features on my Note 4 but I want it to stay on Samsung stock rom.
I downloaded stock N910HXXU1ANK5_N910HOJV1ANK5 firmware but couldn't extract files from system.img. I wanted to do so because I wanted to keep stock rom and replace the files in stock rom system and then flash it into the phone.
So anyone can teach me how can I change boot animation, shutdown animation and ui sounds on N910H?
Also I liked that feature on some custom rom that allows you to record phone call by pressing button on your dialer. Where can I find it? I'm not talking about automatic recording like Dr. Ketan's but the one in the dialer like I used to have with Ditto Note 3.

Hi everyone,
I finally found my solution in the theme section.
I managed to put my bootanimation and my shutdown animation by using other custom zip and replacing their qmg files.
I also managed to make it right for most of my sounds with ES file explorer, didn't know I had to change the files properties into RW-R-R.
I'd also like to replace sound files for locking screen and unlocking screen but I don't know where the files are. I have extracted whole stock rom's ui sound files but didn't find it.
Could anyone tell me which file I have to replace?

How to:
DON´T FLASH ON STATUSBARS WHICH COMING FROM THREAD ASC1977´S STATUSBARS !!!

Choose icon what you want to change and flash zip file in recovery. After reboot your systemui.apk was changed and your phone
looks new like you want. You can flash step by step and change what you want to you have the theme you want createt by yourself. After
flashing on your Internal-SD is a folder createt called ASC1977-backup in which is a restore file. With this file you can restore your last step
with flashing this file in recovery or you can flash your stock systemui.apk from rom and everything is like the day you installed rom.
For some roms i put a flashable stock systemui.apk and some variations in this thread because some want wifi and signal on left side but the rom didnt
have so you can flash this systemui.apk from me as base.

Having trouble with Heimdall

I was informed this might be the better subforum for this post...

I am trying to revert my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 G900V(B) back to Lollipop from Marshmallow. I don't have a PC but a Macbook Pro so I can't use ODIN. Instead I have downloaded Heimdall. I have downloaded several different versions of the Lollipop stock ROM but the Heimdall GUI is not recognizing them.
I *really* need to revert this back to Lollipop so I can use towelroot to get rid of all the crap Verizon bloatware that is eating my memory and making my phone unusable.
Any help would be so so so appreciated, thank you!

ODIN IS JUST NOT WORKING

help i am trying to root my a20 but no matter what i do odin just get stuck at setup connection i tried everything like using other versions or using the pit file or even formating cache partition nothing works my phone is samsung galaxy a20 u11 ub A205FXXSBCVI2

i would recommend downloading unmodified odin https://files.catbox.moe/ad21my.zip
also do you have the samsung usb drivers (DOWNLOAD FROM OFFICIAL SAMSUNG SITE ONLY)
