Does anyone have a dump from an Eonon GA2168K that I can flash with ATC flash tool?

By the way, did you also try Eonon GA2178 - 10" Android 9 Head Unit?
I'm actually on Eonon GA2168K - 10" Android 8 Head Unit, I can say it's a good device with minor problems.
Anytime developers fix a problem they introduce an other problem and there's no community support for MTK chipsets.
Because of this I'm evaluating the new Eonon GA2178, that is quite similar but based on Rockchip chipset.

So I'm wanting to mess with the firmware of my joying 9853i and mind you I have never built a rom. So it will be a learning curve for me. But I am capable. Joying said they would not give me their source to use is there a way this can be adapted for that?

No. You cannot. This firmware contains a lot of specific hardware drivers for these units, a crippled bluetooth and USB-stack, and all kind of interfaces to the specific MCU firmware and hardware.

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. I'm amazed at how a unit with this SoC can run Android 9, and my phone can't get get past Android 7, though.
Aren't there drivers out there for an SC9853i-IA-based phone to upgrade Android?!

So it's been a while since I rooted anything. I am not sure where to start because I don't know exactly what I have. It's an android radio from aliexpress. Things I do know:

Hello everyone!
I have an 8227_demo unit, Tesla style, android 9 (fake11)...
I have an Astra J and everything seems to be working fine except for the talk button, which I'd like to use with Google assistant.
Is this possible? Currently when you press it it launches an app called podofo which I'm sure is fine but it's not google assistant.
I have set Google assistant as the default assistant app and I'm now scratching my head as to what I can try. I removed the podofo apps thinking it may force the system to use Google assistant but no.... Lol
Does anyone have any ideas?

Were you able to get Google Assistant working at all? I got mine working, but not the button for the Assistant. I did get voice activation working.
Post MCU version and try searching on MCU prefix.
You could use tasker to start Google voice assistant instead of podofo.

Read this thread, it's old but you can find usefull things and a good start to find right firmware for ZXDZ.
Also, you can try this , it's also old, from year 2018. https://romprovider.com/stock-firmware-head-unit-zxdz-01/
but it's complicated and may brick your device, if you know how to flash a head unit , proceed, and with caution, read every letter prior to flashing ROM.
