Galaxy watch4 GW4 - Google Wallet - problem adding Revolut [SOLVED] - Wear OS Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Other cards work just fine. But for me Revolut works so well as a travel card.
When I try and add the card to the phone it works fine.
When I try and add it to the watch, it asks Revolut for a text or use the App to authenticate me.
It worked during Halloween. Maybe they used witches to fix the problem that in their words "only affected me"
I find the whole Google wallet / wallet on watch a bit like a "My first app after hello world" and very lacking.
You can't even freeze payment cards only remove them

Google Wallet Updated for Nexus S - Still No Provisioning of New Prepaid Cards

So it looks like there's an update to the Google Wallet app that addresses the security hole found when you clear data. If you clear the app's data and set it up from scratch, it now makes you log in to your Google account before it will activate and allow you to provision cards. This seems to be a good solution to me.
The problem is, they still haven't enabled provisioning of new prepaid cards on the back end yet. Hopefully in the next day or two they will...so...if you flashed a different ROM and now can't access the money on your prepaid card, here's hoping we won't have to wait much longer!
I hope soon, I miss shocking the cashiers.
I have a Visa with Wells Fargo so no chance of adding a MasterCard

[Wallet won't work if rooted]

So I just tried to setup my Google Wallet on my Nexus 7. It said my device was not supported this is the message I received: "Some users may disable important security mechanisms in order to gain system-level "root" access to their device. We strongly discourage doing so if you plan to use Google Wallet. We are unable to support devices with the unauthorized operating systems as the security layers of the device may be limited." So my question is there ANY way to bypass this and use wallet?
It still works.. Just ignore the message...
I get the same on my GSM Nexus

okay, thanks. how come i can't see my credit cards that i have added on my computer?
The unsupported device message for being rooted is normal it will still work. Wallet accounts are individual to the device which is why you prob dont see the cards. Wallet on my GNex is a diff id than the one on my N7.

You have to add your credit card to the "Google Prepaid Card"
From there you can transfer funds from your credit card you linked to the Google Pre Card and set that as your default card.
Google wallet doesn't show in play after rooting.
I got that display after I rooted.
OTA Rootkeeper fixed the problem - just temporarily unroot before stating wallet.
The message is there for a reason. If your nexus is rooted and somebody steals it, they can use su to access the Google Wallet asec data without needing to enter the PIN. Doing a "temporary unroot" might suppress the message but it doesn't actually solve the security problem.
I'm glad to see this thread, as I was wondering if wallet would still work now that I've rooted.
I have to admit, I don't really see how Wallet on a tablet can be considered convenient. I can see it on a phone, since I always have that with me. That said, I'll happily use the free $10!

Cloud Print problems -- no errors, nothing

I must not be searching correctly, because I figured this would be a common problem with a simple solution. As the title suggests, I can't print with Cloud Print. I know I have it set up correctly on my google account, because I can print from my iPad, etc.
If I try to print from the Chrome or Gmail app, I select "Print" and nothing happens -- no errors, nothing. I installed the Cloud Print app from the play store, Cloud Print appears as one of the print services, when I click on the cloud print service, I see my connected printers, but I'm unable to print from Chrome, Gmail, etc. I've been searching for a fix for 2 days, and can't figure it out.
I've also tried uninstalling/reinstalling Cloud Print, clearing the cache, installing Cloud Print Plus, turning the cloud print service off then back on and countless other things.
I'm running XtreStoLite 1.35a on a G900T.

Unfortunately no. Cloud Print works from my iPad though.
Hi,
I'm having quite the same problem on my Galaxy Tab Pro 3 and on my Galaxy S5.
With the same network and the same software, everything is working fine with a Google Nexus 10
The file to be print seems to be correctly prepared on the phone (or on the tablet) but is not sent to Google Drive or Google Cloud Print.
I've an error message but it's not very useful it just says (translated from French to English as I own French products) :
Printing error for "name of file to be printed"
I've extensively searched the net but nobody seems to use Google Cloud Print on Samsung Galaxy products ....
Sorry for my poor English.

Does Cloud Print work from your computer or another device? If not, it might have something to do with the printer or printer's connection to Cloud Print.
I can print from my iPad, computer and from the Drive app on my phone, so I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the ROM.
Yes, Cloud Print work perfectly well from my computers (various models) and from another Tablet (Google Nexus 10).
The problem is only encountered with my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 3 and with my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone.
On my Galaxy Tab Pro 3 the error message is sent from the printer spooler of the Tab.
Found solution for me. Another app printspooler was deactivated. All good now.
Great info, thanks.
How did you reactivate it? I checked Titanium Backup and I don't see that app. Is it something I have to install? I couldn't find it in the play store. Is in an Aroma addon?
SOLVED!
I added the Samsung Print Service (something like that) in Aroma. FYI, I was able to freeze HP Print Service Plugin in Titanium and everything still worked. Thanks cyphomatic for pointing me in the right direction.

Android Pay Persistent Card

Hello - I'm working with google on this but they haven't been able to figure it out. Maybe someone here can. Unrooted 6P, but I don't think the phone is the issue.
I tried adding a card (MasterCard)to android pay, but my bank wouldn't allow it because of a security hold. Now, when I try to add a new credit or debit card, the MasterCard shows in the add card menu under the heading "You added this one to your Google Account already, so you'll just need to confirm some details." This card does NOT show on the google payments page. The google tech doesn't see it on his end. He does see pre-auths from me trying to add it. He wants me to master reset the phone, but when I load AndroidPay on another device - it shows the same thing for the MasterCard. I've cleared all data for the app on the 6P, but since it's showing in AndroidPay on my other device, I'm thinking it must be floating in google's servers.

How to save contact in SIM or in phone storage in MiA1 instead of google acc

In Mi A1, I am not seeing any option to save newly created contact in phone or SIM, the only option is to save in google account. Also tried in google dedicated contact app from play store, but the option to save contact in phone or SIM is missing there as well in Google contact app. Anyone know any app or workaround to save contact in phone or SIM?
Use "LocalAccount" app from Play Store. Will do the trick.
That's be a use those options don't exist in stock Android. Sim cards in most places in the world have not been used for phone numbers in almost a decade so devices with it come with a separate app to make it happen
Contacts>>>>Menu then find 3 dots on top right corner and you find>>>>>Import\Export
Check this works
there is one way to save contacts in phine storage i.e first root your mobile and then by installing titanium backup, freeze google contacts sync.thats it your contacts will besaved to phone storage.
hope this helps.
This can't be for real ... is there still no way to store contacts on the device itself? What is Samsung doing that MIUI can't/won't?
I too was searching for this. There is no option in the mobile to do that.
Hopfully u could export all the contacts to SSD card and later use another Sim(new one), n
copy all contacts to it. U know phones before smart phones; were the ones that could do it.
