[Question] Android Auto Wireless Not Working

Hello,
I recently transitioned back to the Samsung line up with the S20U and I am having troubles with Android Auto. My cars head unit works for both Carplay and Android Auto and I do have wireless enabled in the Android Auto settings, yet whenever I connect via Bluetooth my Android Auto will not display on the screen.
Does anyone know what settings to check or how to get this working?
Thanks all.

I dont know what the settings are off hand, I just use whatever default settings are already set in Android Auto. I am using a Kenwood Head Unit and have been using Wireless since my phone arrived. For me, Wireless in Android Auto does not connect immediately. It takes a while - sometimes half a minute or so. more - and often, once the Android Auto Icon becomes visible on the Head Unit to indicate it is ready - it can take another minute or so to complete the connection. It takes so long that I have pretty much decided to use the USB cable.

I for the life of me cannot get this to work. It either dislplays Android Auto on my phone while connected to bluetooth or displays it on the dash when I'm plugged in.
On my Note 10+ the moment I entered my car Android Auto opened on the dash and connected without plugging it in.
Trying delete the info from the last Android phone synced to your car. that's what happened with my car I couldn't sync it until I delete the last one now Android auto works fine.

Prior to this it was an iPhone. I did however delete all phones synced to the car. Still nothing. It works via Cable, but no go for wireless projection.

PX5 (rk3368) Android 9 - Wifi Issue

I have a generic PX5 head unit from Ali Express which I've had for a couple of years.
I've managed to sort out most issues but have not managed to find a solution to a Wi-Fi issue.
I use a 4g USB dongle for mobile data.
The Wi-Fi in the head unit has to be started manually every time I turn the car ignition on. this is despite having the unit set to automatically connect to available networks.
Is there a setting I have missed or is it normal to have to switch on the wi-fi manually every time I use the car.
In input gratefully received
Thanks
Peter

Aftermarket Android Unit with Apple CarPlay

Hey everyone. I recently picked up an aftermarket Android Auto/Apple CarPlay unit for my 2014 Lexus IS. The unit I have is Android 10 with a Snapdragon MSM8953 Qualcomm Processor. I have a couple of issues that I need help with.
The unit connects to my phone through Bluetooth but as far as the hotspot goes, it doesn’t connect at all. Z-Link needs a hotspot connection and my unit doesn’t automatically turn it on for my phone to connect to.
Basically the same as #1 but my Bluetooth doesn't connect and when I do connect it, the hotspot automatically starts up and I have internet connection. So it's a hit or miss when it comes to Bluetooth connecting or hotspot connecting. One connects but the other doesn't. Vice versa.
I’ve noticed in many other peoples Z-Links, in its settings they have the option to “Connect Automatically”. I’m not given that option at all. Is there any sort of thing I can do to make Z-Link start automatically? Rather than having to press the application every time I start the car?
I am assuming that once I figure out how to open the z-link application automatically, both issues 1 and 2 will fix each other.
I appreciate the help! Thank you!

Hy. I had the same Problem with the same Unit in the same Car. I ordered a "only DATA sim for tablets" from my Provider and installed it on the internal sim-slot from the Unit, and my Problem was gone.
The Unit himself can not handle Thethering (also named as Hotspot) with a Cellphone AND the (Carplay-Anroid Auto) Connection to the Unit.
(BT is only to handshaking in the first step but then wlan is used to use Android Auto or Carplay function of this Unit)

Connect more than 1 iPhone to Zlink possible?

Hi,
I just got my Android Head Unit installed in my car with Zlink to use Carplay. I am an experienced computer and iPhone user but have never worked with Android or an Android Head Unit. Can I and if so how do I connect a second iPhone to Zlink and Carplay?
only one device can be displayed

I know that because I have Carplay in my other car. But both I and my wife use this car and I can't find where/how to connect her phone too? When Carplay opens there are no such options so it must be in Zlink somehow?
that is in the iphone carplay settings and the radio automatically connects to the last paired device
I understand that but where do I add the second phone? Shall I turn mine off and let Zlink look for a new phone?
I have a problem that people can barely hear me on the phone. The Carplay volume was also very low but that I managed to fix with Siri talking and at the same time increase the volume on the steering wheel. Also it takes a very long time before Zlink / Carplay starts when starting the car. The guy I bought it from asked me to reset the unit.
First time I used it I connected wifi in Zlink but now on a video i saw the guy connected hot spot in Android. Which way should I use now after resetting the unit?
And thanks for your help!
you = I understand that, but where do I add the second phone? Do I turn mine off and let Zlink search for a new phone?
=yes, cancel your pairing and let the second phone connect
Ok got it. Can I make other settings in Zlink by opening the app?
not much
You forgot to tell me where I should connect my wifi? To Android system as hot spot or in Zlink option? My unit has a SIM card installed if that makes any difference?
The Bluetooth as I understand I will connect on OEM phone app?
carplay works with wifi and bluethoo transmission the sim is only to give internet to the android system (google maps etc) not for carplay actually carplay is on your mobile and mirrors your radio
the rest already in google

So I should connect both Bluetooth and wifi to Zlink / Carplay?
I don't remember any option to connect BT on Zlink?
I found out today that people can't hear me using Carplay phone because the Android unit uses a built-in microphone on the screen and not Mercedes OEM.
Is this normal?

Question about android head auto!!!

Hi guys! first i dont know if this is the correct forum to put the thread but i dont know what other thing can i do.
I bought an android head unit for my mercedes w447 in a local dealer in my zone, i have installed it correctly but i have some problems with the unit.
First of all ZLINK, does not work properly, they say that android auto is wireless but i cannot conect it with the app, only works wired.
Second is that the head does not remember some settings, for example, the wifi, i turn it on, i switch off the car and when i connect it again, wifi is off
Third, i cannot connect it to the bluetooth of the unit, i made factory reset and connects it for a while but then says CLOSED in bluetooth settings of the unit....
Another thing is the google maps, never detects me the gps correct, only when routing, if i want to use it does not tells me where i am.
I attach a file with the version on my unit to see if anyone can help me
THANKS!
