My TV & phone is paired but not connected - and Im having issues on how to connect them. I had them connected once before but do not know how I did it. Before I was able to successfully send a file via bluetooth from Tv to mobile phone, using the send file to Tv app. Does anyone know what I need to press/or do to re-connect the 2 paired devices ?
The worst part is all android Tv systems are all different - also on android 9 Tv they all different - Only on Sony its basically all automatic - not all have a Sony.

hello
i want to ask if it excist a program which connects bluetooth to wlan. because i know that for nokia serie 60 they where so a program.
if you know sometihning please answer.
and i am sorry for my bad english
Bluetooth and Wireless lan are 2 completely different things. They operate of different frequencies and at different speeds.
Physically, there is no way to do this, and on the Nokias they may have a wireless lan card in it?
no on nokia there is a program which let bluetooth connect to wlan. its works also on old models like 3650.
so i want to know if the same method will works with magican or if they are a program which makes that
These is part of the specs for the 3650 from Nokia's website:
Wireless Connectivity
* Infrared
* Bluetooth
* Connect phone wirelessly to a compatible phone or a compatible PC
* Send/receive pictures, video clips, and graphics
* Play games
If your are refering to the 3rd option, the phone can connect wirelessly to a compatible PC via BT or IR and not via WLAN using Nokia's PC Suite software. One can then surf the web, check emails, etc using the phone as long as the PC is connected to either via LAN or WLAN. This is also possible with a Magician.
As "eliosfa" said, these are totally 2 different technologies. It's like remote controls, there is the IR (mostly found in entertainment equipment) and RF (commonly used in garage doors).
no you dont understand me
this program excists. my friend try it on his nokia 3650 and it works very good so i have thought that it also will give a programm for magican
do you no something ??
let me know
what i understand from your statement that your friend has a 3650, via the phones bluetooth he connects to his pc via a wlan? my friend, that's totally impossible.
in any case, assuming what you say is true, can you tell us the name of the software/program your friend is using in his 3650? what are steps/procedures/settings used?
that is exactly what i would like to know, given that fact that they are 2 completely different technologies...
Actually, both bluetooth and wifi operate at the same 2.4GHz frequence. But they are completely different protocol, and there is no way for them talk to each other.
Someone explain quite well here:
http://www.bluejackq.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=3258
about the wireless internet
mayb what he's talking about is that his friend connects to the computer via bluetooth n the computer is further connected via wlan which enables his friend to connect to the internet overe bluetooth.....it probabaly creates a serial connection over bluetooth
I think you mean the PAN profile. Just search in this Forum. Look for "PAN" or "Bluesoleil"

Hi,
I want to send bits and bytes from my phone to my PC via bluetooth Serial Port Profile. On the Android side I want to use something similar to "BluetoothChat" or QkCtrl (genius app) which transmits whatever character to a paired device with SPP.
In windows I will open the virtual COM port for the paired SPP device in TeraTerm or similar, watching and sending bytes back and forth.
But WHY will my phone not show up with SPP profile when paired with my computer?
These are the four profile drivers which are being installed upon pairing of my phone with my PC:
AV Remote Control Target
AV Source
Headset AG
OPP
I have tried searching for my Phone under virtual COM port settings in bluetooth setting on my PC, but my phone does not show up. I have tried adding a port manually, hoping my phone will connect to this upon pairing. Neither worked.
I have confirmed with the bluetooth chipset specs on my PC that it supports SPP. I have used apps like QkCtrl to control robots etc using bluetooth modules which only works trough SPP. I'm lost.
Any help appreciated!
What the hell. I simply opened up TeraTerm and connected to my manually opened bluetooth virtual com port (COM11) at 9600,8,N,1 and the characters sent from my phone magically appears in the terminal window. Well well, now you know.
Hello,
I originally posted this over on the WP8 forums, but I still haven't been able to figure this out. Maybe someone here has the solution.
I've got a Lumia 1020 and I'm trying to connect via Bluetooth to a windows 8.1 device. I'm able to pair the devices, but as soon as that process is complete, the connection drops. On my phone, I can tap on the name of my computer, and it will reconnect, but it lasts for literally 3 seconds, before dropping the connection again. I've tried connecting to both my Surface RT and my windows 8.1 ultrabook with the same result. The phone will connect to my car stereo just fine, and I never have to do anything with it. Is there some sort of protocol that's missing in Windows 8 to allow phones to connect via Bluetooth? My main use for this would be music streaming, and using my tablet as a hands free device.
My eventual plan is to mount my Dell Venue 8 Pro in my car as a carpc, so I would like to figure this out somehow. I've tried disabling the Microsoft Bluetooth enumerator, and strictly use the Intel Bluetooth 4.0 adapter, but still, the same thing happens. I can't even stream music from my phone.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Dustin
I should also mention that I've tried connecting an android phone with the same outcome
The connection drops because nobody uses it. As soon as some app open a socket between the phone and tablet, the connection will pop up again. This is the default behavior of bluetooth. The devices are first paired, and connection is opened only after something needs it.

Supports three devices and six platforms. Connects via included Logi Unifying Receiver (UR) or Bluetooth (BT) to Samsung Smart TV, LG Smart TV, Android TV/Android mobile devices (Fire TV), Windows, macOS, iOS, and Chrome OS
I initially set it up for WebOS on my LG OLED with its included USB UR as Device 1. Then got it connected by BT to my FireTV Cube as Device 2. Remembered I had a spare older UR for my K400 that I was using on my FireTV so set it up with the Cube as Device 3. I'll get around to ditching the Cube BT connection.
The setup is a little obscure. If you have Windows, the easiest way is to use Logi's UR Connector app and set it up on the PC and then move the UR to what you want to control.

Hi friends,
I need a little help. I bought a new Android TV, but I am not able to connect it with my laptop.
It could be a problem with the television or laptop.
So I was wondering if a standard laptop is required for that or if I need to install any third-party apps for this because someone suggested I get a smart processor laptop, such as an Intel evo, for this.
Is this mandatory to have an Intel Evo laptop to connect to a smart TV?.
Im sure any laptop running windows can connect to Smart Tv's?
Both must be on same wifi or tv Via WIre and laptop via wifi?
In windows settings look under Devices if tv not there click on add device and it should search and when you
see you're tv click on it to add? they you should be able to mirror you're pc etc?
